I suspect your reactions (deposits, charging for messages, etc...) cost your more than you realize. You are so concerned with billing for every minute, that I believe you lose good opportunities. By trying to narrow down the field so tightly that only the best clients slip through, you limit your income. In any business, I find it more profitable to put your clients needs first.
