This is why I generally ignore ads that are less than a year old unless they have 10+ reviews from established users.

Maybe he used to be good, but I could easily tell that he squeezed me between two others with virtually no margin. I was in and out in 45 minutes at best. He was friendly and looks like his pictures, but I've had a better time with others and would not rehire.

I have run into this a few times as well. Other times, I've had escorts that went well beyond the allotted time. I just take the good with the bad, but I tip, review and rehire the great. Reward that which you want repeated.

I'd move onto the next guy. Negotiating rates and overpaying hasn't ever worked out for me.

Other than the obvious type qualifiers, a few things I look at when I'm making a decision include: Is the profile completely self-absorbed, or does the provider talk about how he takes care of others? Did he invest some effort into his description. I may be the only reader on Rent.Men, but I love a good, flirtatious description. Is he into the same things I am? (Don't list everything, but check the things you enjoy) Is he a good match in terms of position? (Don't say Ask Me) Is there any discussion about him on this forum? If you are friendly, have thick skin and are well-reviewed, I think participating here can be a plus. Does he smile or at least look content? (I'm surprised by the number of middle fingers and angry looking people I find) Does he have a face? (It's OK if the face is only in the private photos, but providers should have a face) Do the photos appear to be consistent? (Some guys have 12 different looks spanning 8 years. Don't do that) Side Note, I would prefer 10-20 great photos over 100+ mediocre, dated photos. Videos are also a plus, even if they are not erotic. Somehow it is easier to get a feel for someone's image and personality from a video. Does he have good reviews? How long has he been listed? Providers rarely check all my boxes, so I am a realist, but this is how I look at a profile. On the one hand, the last two are the hardest. On the other hand, I frequently see providers with 10+ reviews after only a couple of months. If someone is listed for 5 years with 3 reviews, that is a red flag. Likewise, if someone has 20 reviews in 6 months, that is a good sign. After I make contact, I am looking for more than a one word answer and a rate that makes sense in the current market. Rates that are too high or too low are indicative or no experience or a huge ego which is a turnoff for me personally. Finally, I don't know why more providers don't create a simple website. I'm honestly curious why this question keeps coming up. It seems easy enough to just inquire about a particular provider's rates and then make a value decision from there. For this service, someone who has priced themselves too high will soon find themselves without any business. Likewise, someone who can't afford the going rate will find themselves watching porn or getting a normal massage.

One time, I negotiated a rate when a new guy thought too much of himself. He was in and out in 15 minutes. Lesson learned, I won’t accept a discount. If it’s too much, I just hire the next guy.

I don't know, I think just about everyone is lying about their age whether it be too old or too young. It has to hard for someone who is 32 and looks 25, but they are filtered out when people search for under 30.
