Don't bother with blocked phone calls. Seriously. He's a time waster. Same for texts that come through from an email address.
  Hear a voice on the phone before heading over or giving your address. Subsequent booking can be made via text.
  It's not a bad idea to call the hotel and get patched through to the room before heading over, especially if something strikes you as 'off'. The likelihood of a future booking actually happening is inversely proportional to the number of texts, calls and emails beforehand.
  Keep note of the numbers that flake on you, for they'll do it again in six months. And that same guy has done it to me, and every other escort. Be leery of drunk. They often pass out before you get there, or after.
  He may be having a great time and want to extend the session. Mazel tov. But he may be thinking with his little head and not have the funds. Settle up occasionally.
  Every client starts as a first timer. But first timers also often lose their nerve, and you lose your time and effort. Don't front the money for a first time session (hotel, travel, etc.) and rarely for repeat sessions.
  Don't drive two hours without a deposit (e.g. Venmo or Amazon e-gift card). Key words that indicate this is going nowhere: Engineer, Nigeria, "your city".
  Don't discount your first session because he's going to see you weekly. Future sessions may be negotiable, initial bookings are always full fare. Make some friends in the biz. They've seen it all before and can offer guidance.
  Trust your gut. A few bucks isn't worth your health, safety, or freedom. Most guys you'll meet will be wonderful and pleasant. Some will be odd ducks, and even that can be fun or at least entertaining. A few are bad eggs, but those guys are extremely prolific in wasting your time.

So I’m asking providers and everyone else. 
Yesterday I had absolutely terrifying experience with one of the providers and wanted your opinion on how to resolve this situation or what to do, or maybe just put it all behind me. 
 
We chatted nicely for some time and he sounded like a nice sweet guy. Exchanged some pics in the messages and both were excited. I decided to take a chance and meet at his place. After spending almost an hour to get there, he opened the door. He was standing behind it and I walked in (why I did it explain later). I saw a guy with about 15-20lb extra (old pics 🤦🏻‍♂️), candy wraps, trash and cigarette buds everywhere on the floor, stained walls and sheets. He was holding a cigarette in the hand and immediately closed the door. It smelled horrible in there. Within a minute I decided to leave that hole but he just locked and blocked the door and started being agitated. I tried to move him away from the door but he said “You don’t want to fight me”. My first thought was “I’m gonna fucking die in this hole”. I said I don’t feel save and want to leave right now. When he asked why, I just pointed him at all that mess and said I can’t be here anymore. He was looking high or on something and started saying that he spent time on “cleaning his place and waiting for me” so I suppose to pay him anyway. I said that I spent 2 minutes (would be seconds if I had access to the door) in his place and not gonna pay $300 for that. After some arguing and trying to calm him down I said I’ll pay him $50 for “his time”, sent him money and ran out of that apartment. Can’t find words to describe how awful I felt on so many levels! He was texting me afterwards that he has a big dick and asking why I left. My first impulse was to explain why and what, but I decided to just ignore all that. Didn’t see the reason to explain obvious things and waste anymore time on that person. Big dick doesn’t mean you can be a dick and people will suck it willingly in this shithole. Maybe some that are desperate will but I’m not amongst them!
 I’m sharing this a day later because I wanted to my emotions so set and relax. 
 
Now about why I entered apartment without looking at him carefully in the first place. He does look like on pictures. I didn’t notice that pics were outdated right away. He has a lot of good reviews on Rentmen with only couple of them negative quite some time ago. And he actually a member of this forum.

I’m not posting his name because I don’t know what to do with this situation. At least not decided should I leave a terrible review or just leave it all behind.

My standard rates are
300/1hr, 500/2hr, 700/3hr, 900/4hr, 1200/Overnight.
I always ask all clients what they want to do in a session before confirming an appointment. If the session is simple or less strenuous I will come down to 250 if I think it's fair. If a client wants to worship My feet or My body and massage Me for 1 hour while I lay on the couch, I come down no problem. 
 
If I am showing up in full gear & going to be doing bondage, S&M + a fast, hard, & long Topping--its 300 firm
If a client balks right before we are about to seal the deal because 300 is too high--or he says "I have 250 is that OK?" I will 8 times out of 10 come down VS not get the session. 
What's super interesting is that I used to charge $200/hour for sessions that were BDSM ONLY. I probably still would except I haven't gotten one of those in a while. Back when I first started, guys would ask for a session that was just heavy paddling, caning, flogging, spanking & just whipping his ass until he had marks on his back. Nothing sexual. I would do $200 for them as I felt it was fair if there was no sex; and probably just because I love BDSM so much 😜
If you are looking for a $200/hr provider; as someone said earlier on this thread---your best bet would be to book a session with a provider that is a multi-hr or long session in which the hourly rate averages out to $200. The more hours you book the better deal you get. Shit, My SleepOver overnights are 12 hours & they cost $1,200. That's $100/hr. I charge extra TBD for the all-night hardcore overnights where we don't sleep, but that's 12 straight hours of play--$1,500.
I don't know what to say if you're looking for a $200/hr escort in NYC & you want only 1 hour. Be careful--if the price is too good to be true-it probably is; & you get what you pay for. You might get a very new novice escort who is charging only 200 & that comes with all the headaches of an inexperienced guy. You also might get catfish, scammed or robbed as often those people will make fake ads with a low price to snake in as many as possible. Then a completely different guy shows up & starts video taping your face or threatens exposure, blackmail etc. I've had a few clients who had that happen to them in the past on RentMen, and often the price was unusually low. 
Maybe in a different part of the country you can find the low rate you want as a standard, but NYC is the complete opposite.
