I haven't heard of this agency before. I tried scanning their escort listings and their site is a hot mess. It has an option to list guys by state, but it's looks like you get the same guys no matter which state you pick (i.e. picking Michigan gives me guys in Nevada, Florida, etc). There also seems to be a severe lack of quality control in the profiles, they seem tov write the copy, but are posting whatever photos the guys provide. The profiles are all very vanilla, I'm sure to avoid scrutiny from the authorities. Some photos seem professional, but a number are sketchy if not really creepy. I'm not sure what value the "agency" is providing as far as vetting the escorts. With RM and Hunqz, it's pretty well understood that they are an advertising portal for escorts and not acting as their agents. It looks like this site is blurring that line, but not providing any actual benefit that an escort agency would have traditionally done. You still deal with the escort directly and don't book through the agency. They may be different in the UK, but the US side seems half assed.

If the escort explicitly says he is only interested in female clients, then I don't see it being worthwhile trying to convince him "bend the rules". Best case, if you do convince him by promising to pay a big enough fee, would be you end up paying a premium for a lackluster experience. There are plenty of guys advertising as bi or gay who will deliver a superior performance without paying extra.

Reading review comments on Rentmen
+ DynamicUno replied to MichaelN's topic in Questions About Hiring
I've been using NordVPN which lets me select a non-US server for all of my traffic (not just browser). One thing with RM is you need to log out and log back in so that your session cookie gets reset, and it will let you see the comments. -
Many years ago I remember hearing the infamous Gold Club in Atlanta (straight strip club) had it's biggest single night when the Southern Baptist Convention was held in Atlanta. It would have been interesting to find out if the working guys in Atlanta at the time also had a lot of extra business.

No, they are not notified if you add or remove them on your buddy list. They will be able to see that you viewed their profile, unless you've set the "Do Not Track Me" option in your account privacy settings.

When an account is closed in good standing, it stays on the credit report. The account age and credit limit are no longer factored into your score however. If you haven't been using your next oldest card in a long time, now is a good time to charge something to have some recent activity on it and reduce the chance it'll be closed. Either way the difference between a 780 and a 800 is pretty minimal when it comes to opening new credit in most cases. The score will trend back to where you were before over time. If you're not planning to buy a house or a car any time soon, there's no reason (other than ego) to care what your score is doing from day to day.

The valley hopefully has a plan to avoid overusing the aquifer. In other places like Arizona that have not regulated their usage very well, rich agricultural operations have sunk their straws the deepest, causing smaller users wells to run dry. In the most extreme cases it's causing severe ground subsidence and salt water intrusion into the aquifers. Once an aquifer starts subsiding, it can't store as much water it originally could, so you can't pump it back up.

According to the website, these things retail for $6/ea. That's pretty pricy for a one time wank, especially when a couple cents worth of lotion or spit will do the job.

They work pretty simply: You put your penis in You take your penis out You put your penis in And you shake it all about...

One consideration if you like to travel a lot is that flying out of and back to Palm Springs is less convenient and more expensive compared to Las Vegas for most routes. Ontario is an option (about an hour drive from PSP) but still tends be higher than similar routes to LAX.

German nudists fear for future of lifestyle amid falling interest
+ DynamicUno replied to 56harrisond's topic in The Lounge
This is something a lot of social organizations have to contend with, especially when they are no longer seen as cultural outliers. I kind of doubt there's a large reduction of people in Germany who enjoy naturism, rather they have more outlets to do it without the need for a specific social organization to support it. The article also mentions that the organization has fairly rigid rules that have been off-putting to younger people participating. I've seen a similar dynamic in other organizations where an "old guard" becomes entrenched and resistant to changing things to keep the participation of newer members. If there are other less formal ways to meet the same social need, they'll gravitate towards that and the old group dies off (sometimes rather literally). -
One thing I've learned is that buying property in Palm Springs is more complicated, since a lot is on reservation land held by the Agua Caliente Band. Thsi means you don't get the land itself, just the house and a lease to the land. This has implications for what you're allowed to do with the property. The reservation is not one contiguous area, it's spread out in a checkerboard-like arrangement across the area.

Seems like a self-inflicted problem, if it really happened at all.

After seeing certain threads get locked and sometimes removed due to interpersonal sniping between forum members, I'm wondering if this forum software can support posting permissions on the thread level. Instead of locking a thread for everyone that had otherwise interesting conversation, individual posters who were who are derailing the conversation could be blocked from making further posts on the thread. It should probably be a moderation action to set the block.

A quick scan of the Milwaukee RM and RMass listings doesn't show travelling profiles for the RNC period. It's possible some guys will go but aren't announcing it in their travel plans, but I don't think it's drawing a lot of attention in advance.

Mandatory Gratutity - Am I being unreasonable?
+ DynamicUno replied to + DynamicUno's topic in The Lounge
I could see a mandatory gratuity in places like Las Vegas that see a lot of international visitors that might come from countries where tipping is not common, as long as the menu and check clearly state that gratuity is added. I can't see that justification for a suburban midwest restaurant that sees mostly local business. I have also seen pre-calculated tip suggestions more frequently, which normally doesn't bother me. Done right, it's a minor time-saver. A recent place I went to in the Cleveland subburbs had theirs set up starting at 20%, however which was mildly annoying. At least there was a line where you could calculate your own tip if you wanted. I have a work trip to Vegas next month, I'll have to see what kind of shenanigans I see on the restaurant tabs there. -
I went to a brunch place near my house this weekend that I hadn't been to in a while. It's a local chain, a normal table-service type place with a brunch type menu priced a bit upmarket for my area. I was dining solo, just coffee and an entree. The service was excellent, food was served lightning fast, the portions are generous (if a bit mediocre tasting), and the server was attentive. The place was lively, but not packed. When the check arrived, I thought the total was a bit high, then I noticed the tip line said "Additional gratuity". Then I noticed that 18% gratuity has already been calculated in. Seeing that, I added a small amount to approximate my normal 20% tip and left. This "little thing" has me never wanting to go back again. I'm accustomed to (and expect) gratiutiy being added for large parties or certain special events, but don't think it should be done for normal size parties and especially not solo diners. Also, there's was no signage (that I saw) or note on the menu about the gratuity policy. It feels dishonest, almost like they're expecting that many of their customers won't notice and calculate their tip as they normally would. It also feels like it puts me in a weird spot where the pre-calculated gratity is a little lower than I would normally add, but adding a small makeup amount feels just as bad as leaving nothing. I won't be back because of this tip policy. Am I being unreasonable, and this is just the way things are going with our tipping culture?

Red Lobster endless shrimp $20! Yay or nay?
+ DynamicUno replied to marylander1940's topic in The Lounge
Reports are that Red Lobster plans to enter into an stalking horse arrangement as part of the bankruptcy that would sell the business into a new entity that will be controlled by the creditors. If another buyer does not come forward, I think it's probable the remaining business will be wound down in liquidation. Personally, I will be sad to see yet another brand from childhood disappear, but I have to admit I've only eaten at one a handful of times in the past 10 years. Nostalgia alone is probably not enough to save the brand, it's in a moribund segment that is getting squeezed from above and below. It's never going to be a growth company again. The new owners are probably going to be tempted to get the value they can extract quickly by parting out the company, even if they could emerge from bankruptcy in a viable position. -
Be alert around Pride or other LGBTQIA+ gatherings this year

Thanks for posting this. Hoping that everyone's Pride celebrations are safe and enjoyable, but it's important to be alert to what's going on around you when in large gatherings. -
Red Lobster endless shrimp $20! Yay or nay?
+ DynamicUno replied to marylander1940's topic in The Lounge
I think Red Lobster's troubles have more to do with the changes in ownership in the past couple decades than one badly executed promotion. It's a eye catching headline, sure, but if the business was fundamentally healthy it would be no more than a blip. To be clear, Red Lobster was a mature brand with a lot of older locations, and a fairly downmarket reputation. It was no longer a growth business, it was the seafood place you went with your boomer (grand)parents after church. There was a lot more competition from other newer chains, but still, it had a decent level of goodwill. If it was structurally sound, I think it would be struggling to stay relevant but not going bankrupt. Red Lobster was owned by Golden Gate Capital for several years last decade. It's typical for PE firms to saddle their targets with a lot of debt as part of the acquisition. It's also common for them to sell off the assets like real estate. They'll take a location where the chain owned the property and sell the lot to a real estate investment firm and execute a long term lease. They restaurant is still on the hook for any maintenance and upkeep on the property, so the new landlords provide very little service for the rent payments. So the PE firm gets their aquisition paid off and they leave the business with high debts and more operating expenses than they had before the takeover. If GCC left Red Lobster with drained assets and high debts, and you add the challenging post-pandemic restaurant environment on top of that, it's little wonder they're struggling to keep up. It would certainly explain the turnover in their c-suite ever since Thai Union bought them, I can see these executives coming in, getting a real look at the balance sheets and noping out as soon as they could. That would also explain the sudden move to close a large number of locations. They can stem the bleeding from underperforming locations, and hopefully recover enough value from the assets that get auctioned off to pay down the debts and get to a more stable financial position. Unfortunately, a bankruptcy will probably still be necessary to force a restructuring of the remaining debt (and hopefully not a liquidation). Sadly, the chain retaurant industry has been a big target for these firms, and it leaves empty buildings and lost jobs in the wake. Name any chain that's died or struggled to survive in the past many years and it's a reasonable bet that there's been an leveraged aquisition in the process. Consumers pay higher prices, employees lose jobs and or better wages, and cities are left with empty storefronts that become a hole in their tax base. But somehow the blame gets shifted to the middle class because a soccer mom stopped for a latte. -
I've never used MisterB&B myself. I've figured it was roughly the same as AirB&B except you had that you had gay or very gay friendly hosts and some extra search options, but it's very limited unless you're looking in particular cities. I would be worried about properties being double or triple listed (with AirB&B and VRBO, since the host has to block out the dates on the other sites if they get a booking. MrB&B would have to handle the fallout if you ended up with a double booked property. They're smaller so maybe more responsive than the others, but also less resources to handle a situation if things aren't going well.

Yes, it's always helpful if a poster is more specific about what kind of guy and scene they are looking for. Do they want twinks in Toledo, or muscle studs in Memphis? Perhaps they're in the mood for bondage in Boston or watersports in Walla Walla. Is romance in Reno on the menu, or is it fisting in Fresno? We can always provide better options with just a little more information.
