  1. A traveling provider might discourage cash payments when they can't easily get to a bank branch to deposit the money and they don't want to carry cash though airport security. There have been instances of federal agents stopping passengers on the jetway and seizing cash under civil forfeiture, likely having been tipped off by TSA security screeners telling them who to search.
  2. I'll take "Things that never really happened to the OP" for $500, Alex.
  3. Welcome, may you find the most wonderful aubergine for your garden.
  4. Cool. Happy for him, really. He should be his authentic self. The best statement in the whole interview is that people "just don't care", it's something that should be as noteworthy as his eye color or whether he prefers pancakes or waffles.
  5. I didn't know you were into gruff sex...
  6. Now if he could also open my third eye and seventh chakra, we'd really have something!
  7. That's even assuming the profile actually belonged to the porn star in question. It's common for people to set up fake grindr profiles using the photos of porn stars or escorts they pulled from their other sources. They don't usually have any intent of meeting IRL, but the scammer gets a lot of guys sexting and sending their own pics. If all your friend has is the online interaction it's difficult to prove that he was actually interacting with the actor.
  8. According to the report, the test kit detects GHB and ketamine, which are commonly used in assaults. I remember the campaigns about GHB awareness when I first came out and went out to the bars more. The normal advice was to never take a drink from someone you didn't know and never leave your own drink unattended. A rapid test kit would have been a nice addition to campaign. A friend of mine told me he was likely drugged at Burkharts several years ago, and the bartender stopped him from leaving with someone. He had apparently went from being normal and alert to suddenly appearing very intoxicated, and the guy was trying to get him out to his car. The bartender intervened and said they'd help him get home, and the guy disappeared. My friend told me he had almost no memories of that night, including how he got home (but he did wake up in his own bed).
  9. Perceived scarcity generates demand. For someone who has little else to distinguish him in a crowded market, saying you better get it now or never can be just the edge they need.
  10. This news item has been a bit under the radar, but the Red Roof corporation settled a suit brought by several sex trafficking victims. There are several more suits in the process. The allegations were that budget motel chain knew that trafficking was rampant at many of it's locations, and that they did nothing to prevent it. Some of the victims testified they were held at certain locations for long periods of time and the staff at the hotel knew about the activities. I am obviously in favor of the hospitality industry preventing trafficking at their properties, but I am wondering if this will affect independent escorts and other sex workers not involved in trafficking. The mainstream, non-budget, chains (Hilton, Mariott, etc), are likely to see the liability from these cases and push their franchisees to be more vigilant about signs of sex work and to take action to prevent it regardless if they appear to be trafficked or not. We've often noted that hotel staff are often well aware of clients seeing escorts at their properties, but were unlikely to do anything as long as things were discreet. This may change, especially at properties that are popular with escorts due to proximity to the airport or trendy neighborhoods. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/hotel-trafficking-red-roof-inn-b2573280.html
  11. I usually have to log out and back in to reset the session cookie.
  12. No problems here using Nord to servers in Germany.
  13. If you haven't had any previous sessions with the masseur, it would be best to wait until he posts something indicating he is actively soliciting clients. If you've met him a few times and have had some sort of rapport, it might be nice to reach out and offer your condolences, and indicate you hope to see him again when he's ready.
  14. And? You do not want to be on his radar. If he's a lawyer and you're a paralegal, the minute you become a potential threat to him professionally they will find a way to show you the door. Exposing him, or threatening to do so, is not likely to work in your favor. Or you can fuck around and find out. Enjoy!
  15. Do not contact him or engage him in any way. Block him if you must. As far as you are concerned, he does not exist.
  16. Assuming you're talking meeting a sex worker as a client, your legal risks are dependent on where you are. In the UK, for example, escorting is legal and you would not have risks from that on it's own unless there were some trafficking element or other criminal activity involved. Some other countries, two men having sex is illegal all on it's own. In the US, escorting is illegal in almost all jurisdictions and it varies greatly from state to state (and county to county) how that's enforced. Fortunately, most US law enforcement activities around male sex work do not target clients hiring from sites like RentMen. There is always some inherent risk of law enforcement attention on RentMen, but it is more likely on RM for law enforcement to target escorts rather than clients. You occasionally hear of certain county sheriffs or police agencies setting up sting operations, but I haven't heard of any cases where they used RM to lure in clients. They mostly use sites that have lower barriers to setting up ads and often focus on the straight trade because trafficking is more often involving that. A general rule of thumb for US clients is to stick with escorts who have been around for some time on RM, and who have a number of positive reviews.
  17. I have never had a problem meeting a provider from RM or RMass. That is partially luck, since I have not used a burner phone number when contacting guys, but I tend to go for guys who've been listed for some time and have reviews. This seems to avoid the worst risks, but there is no zero-risk way of setting up an encounter. If you are concerned about a provider exposing you, you can mitigate the risk by not using your personal phone and email to arrange meetings. There is no 100% foolproof way to avoid someone finding your identity, so you have to determine if the personal risk is acceptable. I did have an incident a couple of years ago where someone I had been chatting with on A4A attempted a sextortion scam against me. It was either the person directly, or once they had determined they found enough information about me through a public record search, likely identifying me from a face picture on A4A. They passed the info to another operator who sprung the trap. The scammer tried a shock and awe approach of text messages and calls threating me with a serious accusation, and also named my father and brother (which made it clear they used public records due the names they used). They did actually escalate to calling my family with the accusations. Fortunately I wasn't so easily panicked and it was clear I was recording their calls so they backed off and disappeared very quickly. I did file a police report, mostly just in case they did try to escalate out of spite. Sextortion scams like that are unfortunately very common, targeting people of all ages and backgrounds.
  18. It's called skipthegames, but feels like the escorting version of a crap shoot....
  19. Well, it looks like someone has certainly just showed his ass...
  20. The only thing new about this is the crypto angle, and the eye catching term for it. "Pig butchering" has become the term of art about the scams, and pretty graphically describes how the victim's financial life is systematically stripped from them. Romance/relationship scams have been around for decades, it's just become easier for them to target people with social media and dating apps. The usual angle was to pull the mark along thinking they had someone wanting to meet them for a serious relationship and then switch to claiming there was some urgent need for money. They've progressed from demanding wire transfers, and then gift cards, to setting up fake crypto investment accounts. These criminals are not lone operators, they are organized criminal enterprises often with complex corporate-style teams that hand off the victims to specialists at each phase of the scam. They'll even retarget victims who were previously tapped out with a "recovery scam", requesting even more money with the promise of getting back the stolen funds. The usual angle I've seen going back to Manhunt and still very common on A4A, is the "army guy" who is just looking for someone to fall in love with and settle down as soon as they get back to the states. They would follow a very rigid script, "For how long have you been on this site?" "I'm currently deployed in <#Insert "name of country in active conflict">, but I am going back home soon". They would often try to get you to move to another communication method quickly where I the scam would progress to the next stage. A new angle has been the blind text messages where they pose as a "wrong number', "Hi Lisa, are we getting together Friday?" "Lisa, this is Ana, don't tell me you forgot my number" "I'm sorry, my assistant must have put the wrong number in my contacts" "Thank you for being so understanding about this mix up, I hope we can be friends {#include "generic_asian_woman.gif"}". "What do you do? I make sooo much money investing in crypto...." The cruel fact is these criminals understand that we have a lot of people, often older, who are more isolated than ever and will easily fall for someone who flatters them and pays them attention. Once they've claimed a victim they are ruthless in destroying their financial lives, and often their families and friends are unaware until the damage has been done. The more people recognize the signs and understand how extensive these organizations are that perpetrate them the better. https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/scams-and-safety/common-scams-and-crimes/romance-scams
  21. Blessed be the power bottoms for they shall receive the glorious girth.
  22. He did an interview on YouTube where they showed a photo before the surgeries, he was a cute young man at the time. I think he would have remained very handsome as he matured.
