  1. I've posted this before: Buy a sling. Not every client has to use it, but some will love it, and book you because of it. Rubber sheets are a provider's friend. Install a shower douche. Again, some clients will book you simply because you provide that. Learn at least a few basic massage techniques. You can save a ton of money by buying the gallon jug o' lube and decanting into smaller bottles. Offer them a damn shower afterwards. Duh. Don't bother with blocked phone calls. Seriously. He's a time waster. Same for texts that come through from an email address. Hear a voice on the phone before heading over or giving your address. Subsequent booking can be made via text. It's not a bad idea to call the hotel and get patched through to the room before heading over, especially if something strikes you as 'off'. The likelihood of a future booking actually happening is inversely proportional to the number of texts, calls and emails beforehand. Keep note of the numbers that flake on you, for they'll do it again in six months. And that same guy has done it to me, and every other escort. Be leery of drunk. They often pass out before you get there, or after. He may be having a great time and want to extend the session. Mazel tov. But he may be thinking with his little head and not have the funds. Settle up occasionally. Every client starts as a first timer. But first timers also often lose their nerve, and you lose your time and effort. Don't front the money for a first time session (hotel, travel, etc.) and rarely for repeat sessions. Don't drive two hours without a deposit (e.g. Venmo or Amazon e-gift card). Key words that indicate this is going nowhere: Engineer, Nigeria, "your city". Don't discount your first session because he's going to see you weekly. Future sessions may be negotiable, initial bookings are always full fare. Make some friends in the biz. They've seen it all before and can offer guidance. Trust your gut. A few bucks isn't worth your health, safety, or freedom. Most guys you'll meet will be wonderful and pleasant. Some will be odd ducks, and even that can be fun or at least entertaining. A few are bad eggs, but those guys are extremely prolific in wasting your time. Kevin Slater
  2. And they don't tend to put dicks inside asses, which is the common means of transmissions of most of these maladies. Kevin Slater
  3. I own some directly and of course anyone who holds an S&P fund or similar owns some indirectly. A stock split is in itself meaningless (same size pizza, just divided into more slices) but often a sign of management's confidence in the underlying business. Any bump that gives the stock has likely already been priced in when the split was announced. The actual split may drum up some further interest in the stock, but it would just be one factor among many influencing its movement: perceived impact of the Inflation Reduction Act, movement in the price of oil, what happens that day vis-à-vis Musk v. Twitter, movement of other meme stocks... TSLA is probably a fine investment, but as it already has a huge market cap. I wouldn't expect to see the impressive returns of the past. If you're new to investing in stocks, I'd recommend broad-based low fee ETFs, such as IVV (mimics the S&P), which will give you a bite of Tesla and 499 other stocks. Kevin Slater
  4. Even if you otherwise have no interest in the show, watch the first 13 minutes of episode 1, season 2. You don't need to know anything about the show. Some of the best 13 minutes ever on tv. Kevin Slater
  5. Just snapped this pic. Best caption? Kevin Slater
  6. Just to be clear, that steep drop at the end (indicated by the gray shade underneath) is likely due more to cases not being tallied yet than a true, drastic reduction. Kevin Slater
  7. We've said all that needs to be said here, and the sniping continues.
  8. We've flagged that account as a spammer. They were posting in a lot of forums as well.
  9. Moderator's note: Gents, cut the sniping.
  10. They’re releasing another batch tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 am, though there are slots bookable (for a jab tomorrow) right now as well. https://vax4nyc.nyc.gov/patient/s/monkeypox
  11. Moderator's note: Gents, let's leave the snarkiness out of this otherwise useful thread.

  13. I'm not holding my breath. I think they want to get as many folk their first shots first. Kevin Slater
  14. My vote would be for strikethru over, say, right alignment, fwiw. We sued to be able to code it in (I think [s] and [/s]). Is that long gone?
  15. Does this explain strikethru as well, or is that something else?
  16. Well, it was clearly the famous case of the... missing link. Kevin Slater
  17. Whatever you do on your browser to make the text bigger or smaller. On Firefox on my Mac it's command + or -.
  18. [strike]test[/strike] <strike>test</strike> <b>bold?</b> <b>test</b> nope. these used to work.
  19. Rob addressed this in some other post. I can't remember the upshot, but I bet if you make your screen wider, or try on a different browser or device, you may see it.
  20. Please do not. Identifying a provider's day job would likely violate the no personal info rule. Kevin Slater (qua moderator)
  21. I see it in Firefox on my MacBook (Pro). It's the thing that looks like a chain.
  22. Moderator's warning: Gents, what part of stick to the topic (seeking arrangements, not the cost of living in NYC) didn't you understand? Multiple replies have been hidden.
  23. Just to beat a dead horse, there are slots open for tomorrow, Sunday.
  24. During the trading day I'm somewhat glued to Yahoo Finance. I don't really care about the price streaming (I use Fidelity's Active Trader Pro for that (not that I'm an active trader)), but whatever business news about whatever stocks I follow is helpful. I like that it let's me follow an unlimited amount of stocks and that it's free, but it's pretty buggy. I've tried CNBC but it either didn't let me follow that many stocks or didn't have a good news feed (I forget which). Curious if anyone on here has a better alternative to suggest? Kevin Slater
