It's unfortunate when someone uses outdated photos. Not because early photos are necessarily more 'attractive' and this might result in 'disappointment', but rather, it starts the whole relationship off on a false pretense.

Wow... he does not look 47 at all from the photos I can see. Someone may have found the fountain of youth.

Absolutely. 16-year Lagavulin is hard to beat from my perspective. But Laphroig can be pretty good and is at a lower price-point. Both are nice and smokey-peaty, and that isn't to everyone's taste. @keefer, why not do a Scotch tour along the Whiskey Trail, since you're in the UK? You can do a tour of Speyside distilleries and compare those to the Highland malts, and the peaty malts of Islay.

Yup... one site said $303 and another $306. Both were in Canadian dollars though. In any case, a six-fold increase over 50 years doesn't seem unreasonable. Certainly more reasonable than a $100K Toronto house in 1973 costing $2 million today.

I've never operated a business, so my advice may be misplaced. But I don't think it ever hurts to reevaluate your business model and determine where improvements might be made. I think many of the most successful business owners in any sector have reached their levels of success by recognizing their own particular gifts and developing a niche where they can confidently exceed clients' expectations in relation to all other potential competition. That said, even though things are reopening, it remains a strange time for many people in this pandemic climate - even compared to last summer when things were looking quite good in many places before the third wave hit. So it might be wise to see how things naturally change with the increasing rates of vaccinations before making any significant adjustments to your business model. I know it is easy for me to say, but try not to be too discouraged. And if you find it helpful to do some other part-time work to augment your business earnings, there is absolutely no shame in that. You'll get through this - just remain open to possibilities and opportunities as they come.

I know it might seem excessive, but I've spent that for dinner without a lobster in sight. At a buffet like that I would skip the salads and desserts, and concentrate on the lobster, king crab and stuffed shrimp. I was born with a special gift of being able to completely ignore low-value food in a buffet setting... lol.

I have found that there are quite a few very attractive South Asians - both male and female. In particular, the Punjabi guys at university used to have girls trailing after them.

Very true, particularly for Type 1 diabetes. However, I believe there is a link between obesity and Type 2 diabetes, though there are many obese people who do not develop the disease. In any case, I hope nobody demonizes anyone from Appalachia or trailer parks. It really wouldn't be fair, since everyone in Appalachia is related to one another, and those in trailer parks have enough to worry about dodging tornados.

Bi-curious here. Any and all buffets are fair game for me - LOL But wine in a box? Not likely.

I expect my most surprising destination will be anywhere I am finally able to get to once travel restrictions are lifted.

Hey all... wondering if anyone might have a favourite seafood buffet to recommend, anywhere in the USA/Europe/Australia? Something with lobster and/or King Crab would be preferable As I start thinking about places to visit after travel restrictions ease, I am realizing my stomach would like to have a say in potential destinations.

There was an American, Hope Cooke, who married the Crown Prince of Sikkim in the 1960s and then later became Queen Consort. I think they eventually divorced.
