  1. One of the survivors only died about 20 years ago, I think. She was well over 100 years old - maybe 110 or so.
  2. Thanks for clarifying - I hope that proves to be case going forward as well.
  3. When you say, "...the virulence (danger) of all of the current strains out there is LESS THAN THAT OF THE COMMON COLD to the vaccinated..." are you meaning those who are healthy and vaccinated, or do you also include the immunocompromised in that statement? I ask because my understanding is that those with compromised immune systems are still at risk of serious effects, even if they are boosted. I would love it if they were just as protected, but from what I have read, it doesn't seem like it. For that reason I still wear a mask much of the time - just in case I somehow have contracted COVID and could potentially pass it on to someone unable to fight it as well as I am able to.

  13. Oh no. That's too bad. I was there pre-Covid and went a few times during that trip because it was so good. Perhaps it has slipped since I was there? Sorry to hear it wasn't good for you....
  14. For buffets, I enjoyed the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. I thought it was better than the Bellagio and less pricey too.
  15. A bit too fussy, and too many small patterns for my taste. But I wouldn't say 'no' if someone bought it for me... LOL
  16. Ewww... would you really want to have something inside you that has been inside so many other people? Oh, wait. Forget I asked... 🤪🤣
  17. 80 years - they celebrated their oak anniversary according to the lists that designate names to auspicious anniversary years...
  18. In families with short generations I guess is would be possible to even have a great-great grandparent alive when someone is 20 years old... parent 40, grandparent 60, great grandparent 80 and great-great grandparent 100. That's awesome you got to know your great-grandparents. Did they live long enough to see a 5th generation?
  19. I imagine that happens only when there is a mutual attraction, so I guess it is important to emphasize YMMV.
  20. Not quite the same thing, but I often had an urge to jump around a gazebo when I was sixteen going on seventeen.
  21. I would say it absolutely counts, and also how great it was that you had her in your life for such a long time. That's beautiful.

  24. I'm assuming this is Omicron that is spreading so quickly - is there any indication that a new variant might have emerged as well, from what you have read?
