Not a Latin expert by any means, but I think what they were shouting was 'Vivat Regina Camilla', which I think means 'Long Live Queen Camilla'. Or perhaps, 'Long Live Camilla's Vagina'

History of the Longest Commercial Flights....
CuriousByNature replied to + azdr0710's topic in The Travel Desk
19 hours crunched in Economy... I wonder how many passengers will drop dead from a DVT... -
Now THAT'S a headline you don't see everyday!

Likely one-legged thieves. Who then went for breakfast at IHOP. -

A chunk of the uterus, anyway. Maybe an incomplete and botched hysterectomy...

Anyone else think the iceberg beside it looks like a fallopian tube with a bulging ovary at the end? Conception Bay, you know.

I've flown WestJet many times. Never had a problem but also nothing to celebrate either. I've never found any of the airlines in Canada to be that special, but I heard than one carrier called Wardair, which existed several decades ago, was pretty nice. Sorry, that last bit of info won't be helpful for your current inquiry... lol.

Well, the Minutemen were pretty small. Some might even say minute.

My limited understanding is that a Queen's husband (at least in the UK) is never crowned or referred to as King Consort because he would technically outrank the Queen. Husbands are known at most as Prince Consort and they are not crowned, but rather, need to pay homage to their wife as part of the coronation ceremony. What I find interesting is that the title 'Queen' apparently comes from the Old English word 'cwen' which translates to 'wife'. In reality 'Queen' refers to the wife of a King, though it has evolved over the centuries to mean a woman reigning in her own right. And I don't believe a Queen is able to transfer her titles to her husband, unlike what a King is able to do by having his wife crowned Queen Consort. I'm not sure who has the final say, but I think the public may not have been happy to see Camilla crowned as Queen Consort had the late Queen not expressed her desire to see that happen. In the case of Phillip, I believe that Parliament stepped in and required that he renounce his Danish-Greek royal titles before he married Elizabeth. It was only later that she made him a Prince of the UK through letters patent.

I think a deranged pregnant woman is on the loose
CuriousByNature replied to samhexum's topic in The Lounge
I don't trust the reporter on this one about the shark being a hammerhead. If she was indeed pregnant with pups, then clearly she was a dogfish. -
He wants to take it off but it never seems to be the right time. So if you are a client that values discretion, you might want to meet with someone else. Time will tell.

I can's speak to the 'sexcation' aspect of it, but Amsterdam is a great place to visit if you have a few days. Lots of museums, 17th century architecture, good restaurants and I found the people friendly and helpful. There is a red-light district but I must be clueless because I had walked halfway through it before I realized where I was.

One of the great drives in Canada is the Icefield Parkway through the Rocky Mountains. You can start in Banff, Alberta, which is a picturesque but touristy town, and drive north to Jasper, Alberta. The scenery along the way is incredible, with additional places to stop like Lake Louise. Probably easiest to fly into Calgary and either spend a couple of days there or drive to either Canmore or Banff and stay overnight. Then the next morning start driving up the Icefield Parkway - it can be done in a few hours but you may wish to make many stops along the way for photos, hikes, etc. Then spend the evening in Jasper, and either explore the town the next day or drive back down to Banff the way you came. If you do go through Calgary, and if there is time, you can drive a couple of hours east to Drumheller, Alberta. There is an excellent museum showcasing dinosaur fossils, as this is the heart of the Alberta 'badlands' where many fossils have been unearthed over the decades. I think it is called the Royal Tyrell Museum.

I think some of us were just concerned that you are doing alright . It's nice to see you join the discussion as yourself - some people have joined pretending to be someone else. It's great to see someone be straightforward and upfront.

The iconic singer, actor and activist who broke through racial barriers has died at the age of 96. He died today of congestive heart failure at his New York apartment. RIP...

I have done two Alaska cruises - one was on Holland America and was round-trip, and the other was Princess with the flight home from Anchorage. I think the average age on Princess was 50s and 60s, so considerably older than me at the time. The Holland America cruise attracted an even older crowd - possibly because they did not have to fly (I found that on round-trip Hawaii cruises too). It was nice to basically have the run of the ship after about 9pm or so. But some of those seniors were definitely night owls and I'm sure I was in bed before a few of them each night.
