I would sue George Clooney for emotional distress

I see it here in Canada all too often, I'm afraid. -
Thanks for posting this, @samhexum. It makes me regret not becoming a marine biologist, and particularly one that specializes in the deep sea. The notion of these submerged plateaus holding such interesting and unidentified sea life reminds me of the unique and often unexplored ecosystems found on the tops of tepui table-mountains in Venezuela and other parts of South America. Fascinating!

Mistakes happen. As long as it is corrected in an expedient manner I think she should be happy with her $34 voucher. Things like this should not turn into a windfall for the wronged party, particularly when no injury has occurred. The fact that our society expects more is an illustration of our entitlement, in my opinion. -
Keep that FILTH out of our public institutions!

This conversations seems to be all over the place, and as someone who has never been interested in drag/drag shows, I find it somewhat bizarre. I think it is important to separate the person from the behaviour. A man dressed as a woman does not have to 'perform' in a risque or overtly sexualized manner. I'm confused why the children are being read to by individuals who are all done up as (often) over-the-top sexualized personas. Even the chosen name has some sexualized connotation. When was the last time you met a drag queen named Susan or Jennifer? If the point is to be more inclusive and expose children to differentness, would it not be better if they were read to by transvestites and/or transsexuals? I think it is more likely that the average person encounters these demographics more often that drag queens, unless you happen to attend their shows. Many of which would probably not admit children. The comparison with Peter Pan and Disneyland is interesting. While costumed characters may be portrayed by men or women, and as an opposite gender to the character itself, it is probably clear to most children that these characters are not real. I never thought that the 6-foot tall Mickey Mouse at Disneyland was the same individual I saw on TV. The portrayer is dressed up as something that is fictional. This is not the same as drag queens, who are dressed as another gender, often in a very stereotypical sexualized manner - which may not be the most helpful behaviour for young children to be exposed to. There are reasons why children below a certain age are not permitted into certain movies and performances. As adults we may assume that because we can tell the difference between the person, the persona, and the behaviour, that children are able to as well. And I don't think that is a conclusion we can make. Many kids are terrified by clowns for this very reason - I was one of them. Because a clown still looks like a human dressed up as something above and beyond a 'normal' human - and that can be scary. I imagine the vast majority of kids being read to by drag queens will likely have no ill effects for the experience, but they may have important questions that flow from the experience. And this should be a concern because the average parent may not be able to explain things properly or sufficiently, and this runs the risk of increasing the prejudice rather than diminishing it. Many will disagree, but I believe that children are unable to discern nuances the way that adults today seem to think they can. In many ways, they cannot really think for themselves until their brains have developed enough in their teen years. I didn't mean to drone on like this, but hopefully what I have written makes some sense to some people, without it sounding like a crusade against drag queens - which it certainly is not meant to be. -

I just realized that if I go out and buy one, I can finally say that I've gotten some tongue.

One I recall hearing all too often was, "You're as useless as teats on a bull."

Also because it's too uncomfortable and potentially dangerous to have one, let alone two, birds in your bush.

If there is a genetic connection I suppose I should feel sorry for my grandmothers.

I imagine it is very different than here in North America. I don't think that Indonesia follows strict Sharia law, but I understand that certain provinces are heading towards that direction.

Or... 3. Husbands who want to strengthen their case for divorcing their wives, regardless of whether the wives have cheated.

That may need to be more of a group activity - lol

Sadly not an issue I have had to deal with. Perhaps they get coiled up like a garden hose, or tied in an artistic knot?

Right, that makes sense. Here in Canada many people pay a bit more to have at least $1M for auto, and quite a few people I know have $3M. When I lived in BC a couple of my friends had $5M, but I haven't seen that in Ontario. I'm not sure if BC residents are more litigious or not.

Hopefully her insurance will cover the costs to the homeowner and the damages for injury, since it was ruled an accident. That way her children hopefully not have to be burdened with the court proceedings and the loss of their own financial stability and inheritance. They have lost more than anyone already.

She definitely had certain views I could never support - socially, politically and even spiritually - but ultimately she was a flawed human being like the rest of us. So I'm trying my best to remember the laughter she brought on screen, and hoping she did not suffer greatly in her illness. 71 isn't that old anymore.

Have not met him, but the new profile name is https://rentmen.eu/APOLLO_BEAUTY/. If I recall, the donation for his time was 300 UK pounds before the pandemic, but I see that the donation amount is no longer listed. -
Cruise ships- massages and spa experiences
CuriousByNature replied to Alefer2009's topic in Spas & Masseurs
I have heard that cruise lines take a very harsh line with employees that cross boundaries with guests, so I would be very surprised if any masseur would be willing to risk that. Many of the workers spend months on board in order to earn money to send back home to their families, so there is a lot to risk if they choose to fraternize too intimately. -
Happy 190th birthday to George the Tortoise! Estimated to have been born in 1832 in the Seychelles, good old George who is blind despite cataract surgery, has lived on St. Helena since 1882. He was at least 50 years old at the time of his arrival. And yes, that is the same St. Helena that Napoleon was exiled to a couple of generations earlier. Georgie-boy still has quite an appetite for both food and sex. And he does not discriminate between mounting females or males, apparently. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2022/12/03/jonathan-tortoise-190th-birthday-oldest-land-animal/10826362002/

If I recall, I believe that Apollo used to have a different name. Something like Russian Power, or similar to that.

The actress perhaps best known as Rebecca in Cheers died from cancer today at the age of 71. RIP...

Yes, I think it was something like that, and then became Casanova with a 'C' perhaps.
