As much as I watch the show, I never realized Diane Neal and Annie Parisse played other characters before their A.D.A. roles.  I just did an IMDB lookup.  Their other character names were Amelia Chase and Jasmine Blake.  Dick Wolf has a stable of performers he taps for all of his shows.  The most obvious one whose two characters were/are more regular than just a single episode is S. Epatha Merkerson who played Lt. Van Buren in almost 400 episodes of L&O and is now Sharon Goodwin on Chicago Med (124 episodes). I also realized that Jack McCoy had some of the hottest female A.D.A's working with him.  Not one of them was Kathy Bates in Misery.
I watched it.  He still looks really good and his (in)famous Nick Amaro temper made a visit, too.  Dann Florek (Cragen) looked ill.  Hope he's ok.  I always liked his character.

The difference between your examples and a provider is that when I pay for my flight, hotel, concert tickets, or any of the other services you listed, I get a confirmation number, reservation number, or invoice evidencing my payment.  The airline, hotel, or concert venue are not going to disappear.  I have proof that I paid for a service or product, and I have recourse.
You're expecting someone to fork over cash to an unknown entity whose only means of contact is an internet classified ad and a burner cell number and hope for the best.  And then you wonder why clients balk at the idea and find this difficult.

No one is suggesting not paying for travel expenses when the provider is traveling from out of town.  I hired someone last year who I flew across the country for a long weekend.  I purchased his airline ticket, which he readily accepted as evidence of my commitment to the appointment.  I have a regular provider who takes the bus from New York for weekends with me.  I similarly pay for his transportation.
What I'm not going to do is electronically send cash to an unknown provider and hope he shows up.  You're right, providers are free to do what makes sense for them.  If requiring a deposit works for them, more power to them.  I'm also free to decline their terms and not be thought of as a flake or time waster.  I also have the right to do what works for me.

You are, of course, free to run your business any way you want. No doubt. I am equally free not to participate.
My reason is simple... In my experience, companions that ask for a deposit are either trying to scam me or so focused on the money that they end up providing sub par companionship.  That is my experience so that is what I go by.

Your post does not make for a good advertisement for the services of a provider.
Rather, I suspect that many clients are turned off by the attitude expressed in the posts.

Current prices in Philly suburbs…my vehicle requires premium grade.  I filled the tank on Saturday for $62. Eight months ago the same amount of gas was $38.  That’s a 62% price increase.

    Doubtful.
It's a combination of him frequently going up and down in weight for films, and perhaps some Botox.
While Botox can smooth out a wrinkle, it can also change the shape of a face and create muscle tension in secondary muscles that aren't used to being overused.  Even the best skin doctors face these issues with clients.  It's really an individual thing and you won't really know until it's kicked in.  Then you're stuck (for 5-7 months).
He also may be treating parts of his face with filler that are being worn down by keeping such a constant low body fat percentage. Fat pads in your face are the key to looking young.  Tear-trough, jawline and temple filling can make a huge difference in a face that's looking aged.
Frankly, I like what he's grow into.  He's no longer pretty, but handsome.  He's got some character, some rust.

He was apparently here in Philly for the night.  I never viewed his profile nor contacted him, but I did get these unsolicited messages on RM chat last night.

I don’t mind a provider sending an unsolicited message to offer his services, but the third message is a turn off.  Don’t expect a reply when I never contacted you.
