  1. Novak has been understandably frustrated and disappointed by his losses, but he has not behaved very well at the Olympics when he was losing.
  2. Steffi Graf will remain the only player ever to win a "Golden Slam," at least until 2024. But Novak still has a chance to win the calendar year Grand Slam, which no man but Rod Laver has won in the Open Era.
  3. I remember hiring a guy back in the early 1990s, when one still found escorts on print media; he advertised as 30, with one hot black and white body photo. When we met, he admitted that he was 35, but judging from his face I suspected he was still fudging. Time passed, the Internet came along and advertising moved online. One day around 2010, I clicked on a Rentboy ad, and in it there was the same body photo. The ad said he was 40. You do the math.

I recognize him, but I don't remember what name he used. Definitely a "midcentury modern" chair. I recognize him, but I don't remember what name he used. Definitely a "midcentury modern" chair.
  5. I am not watching tennis at the Olympics (normally I will watch any tennis anywhere) because I don't have the "Olympic Channel," whatever that is, because that is what is broadcasting the tennis matches. And since most of the top women have already been knocked out early, I doubt that many WTA fans are watching either. If Djokovic gets to the final, I hope NBC will at least broadcast that live. I read yesterday that the Japanese officials made the pitch that weather in Tokyo is mild and pleasant in July (a lie, and they knew it), and the IOC believed them (or pretended to) when they awarded the games. I think the 2020/2021 Summer Games are turning into such a disaster that the IOC is going to have trouble getting commitments for future games that haven't already been scheduled, unless the 2024 games turn out to be a major success.
  6. Only the face, I'm sure.
  7. That is one tall glass of water--er, champagne.
  8. Instead of a scholarship, could you endow a housing program for gay students with that situation?

    Checking for crab lice?
  10. I have sort of aged out of the "gay community," but I am maintaining my membership card, because I worked hard to earn it, and I still drop into the social center at times. It's sort of like my membership in my college alumni association: I make regular donations and read the publications, but I rarely attend events anymore.
  11. I have to mute the Joe Namath/Jimmy Walker ads for enhanced Medicare in which you get "all the benefits you are entitled to!" They always end with "Call now! It's FREEE!!" What they mean is that the call is free, not the insurance which they will try to sell you.

  14. I remember when a stone marten fur coat cost less than $400.
  15. If I were still active, he would definitely be on my list.😁

Beautiful '48 Studebaker (my spouse learned to drive n one of those).
  18. I haven't cruised in London for years, but even when I lived there in the '70s, I don't remember much of a street scene, except outside the pubs at closing time (11pm); many a night I picked up someone on the street outside the Coleherne.
  19. Firefox on a Windows desktop.
  20. I blush to admit it, but I don't even know what my browser cache is or how to clear it.
  21. I was too shy. My partner on the back was bolder.
  22. We were in our doctor's office yesterday, and while we were alone in the consulting room, I snuck a look at my spouse's page, which was up on the doctor's computer. I saw that in the identifying info at the beginning, there was a note: "pronoun: he, him, himself." Of course, we do live in Palm Springs, and the doctor is gay.
  23. What if no future students suffer as a result of discrimination due to orientation or sexual identity🥰🤭? What if no one who fits that description applies for the scholarship one year, or for several years? The pool of applicants might be pretty limited, and the school would be sitting on scholarships money it could not give out. As long as they don't give it to an avowed homophobe instead, it would make sense for them to award it to a needy student who might be an appropriate alternative, such as someone wanting to study sexual identity or discrimination without qualifying on the basis of being gay himself/herself/themself.
  24. A thumbs up to everything!
  25. Casey didn't like to share the spotlight.
