  1. The biggest negative may be the fact that you don't have real control over what is ultimately produced and shown (the RuPaul thing is an example), yet you will be held responsible for it by the viewers. It's the same advice that is given on this site: listen to your gut, and if it makes you uncomfortable, walk away.
  2. Those are old photos of a popular porn actor whose name I can't remember (Jack something?)
  3. I hired my first escort more than forty years ago, i.e., before the AIDS epidemic, so of course I have outlived some of them.
  4. And Kennedy continued a policy he inherited from Eisenhower. And Nixon lied about how he intended to handle the situation he inherited from Johnson. And Ford was left holding the bag.
  5. I never felt unsafe on the NYC, Phila. or London transit systems, which I used regularly for many years. It has been 16 years since I lived somewhere with such a system, and I would love to have access to one again.
  6. The ad copy, despite its fractured English, seems to admit the photos are not of him.
  7. I have visited both as well, but the LBJ library in Austin is also worth a visit.
  8. The New York Historical Society is a treasure trove of information. I used to do a lot of research there.
  9. Trying to reschedule a two week major tournament would be a nightmare for almost everyone concerned, given the rigidity of the entire world tennis schedule for the year. Unless a national emergency is declared by the government, it is unlikely to happen. Probably the only way to reschedule would be to move it to the end of the year, when it used to be played, but that would mean playing the 2020 and 2021 tournaments only about one month apart. More likely is that it would be like the 2016 Rio Olympics, where many individuals chose to pull out because of worry about the conditions in Rio, but the event went on as scheduled without them.
  10. "It is better to give than to receive."
  11. black, claw, walk, balk, bawl, ball, cowl, clack, back, lack, lock, clock, blow, blowback, blackball, callow, bowl, cock--sorry, I got distracted at this point, and forgot I needed an 'l' in there...umm, what are we doing here?
  12. I saw it many years ago at the NYCO and loved it.
  13. Eric Ryan, a genuine pornstar who didn't escort very much.
  14. I happen to own both a Kia and a Mercedes. The Mercedes is a more outstanding vehicle, but I get plenty of satisfaction out of both.
  15. I think you misread my post, or were not actually responding to it but to something else that clicked in your head when you saw the word "adult." I did not volunteer in an "adult book store" (they don't need volunteers!). I volunteered at a program for adults who didn't graduate from high school and were trying to prepare to take the test for their GED. It was a satisfying activity, but I stopped when they moved the program to another school in an inconvenient location for me.
  16. One of my former primary care physicians, who was also a personal friend, had almost exactly the same experiences that you had. He is still working, at 75, in a public health clinic, and is the happiest he has ever been.
  17. I have no memory of having started this thread almost 13 years ago. Even more depressing, I don't remember the movie at all. What strikes me most, however, is that the majority of those posters who responded have not been seen here for years.
  18. First, during the last couple of years before I retired, I looked for a part-time job that I could continue to do after I retired, and since I intended to relocate after retirement, I focused on something I could do online from wherever I moved. (It is always psychologically good to keep making some money, even if it is only enough to treat yourself to a few good restaurant meals each month.) Immediately after I retired, I indulged myself with a one month vacation in Australia. Then I spent the next year traveling around the country checking out possible places to relocate, choosing one, and making the actual move. As soon as I was settled into my new home, I looked for a volunteer position as well as a new hobby. The volunteer work, which was at a local adult school, lasted only a couple of years, but the unexpected hobby was learning to play tennis, which turned into "the sport that lasts a lifetime." I have been retired for 17 years now, but I am still too restless to just lay about the house.
  19. Oh, no! I forgot to bring bottled water!
  20. How does he pronounce his name? I hope it isn't "Psycho."
  21. Ah! The fearsome foursome of Lopez, Carreno Busta, Bautista Agut and Nadal (I can't see who the modest little guy is in the middle).
  22. fluent, fuel, full, effluent, tuffet, fell, left, flue, tuft, flute, fluff, even, event, fleet, felt This is all I got before looking at your list. Whoops! There is no 'f' in two of mine.
  23. You missed Lard. This is fun!
  24. I can only come up with 2 six-letter words: bridal and lizard, unless I use the z twice and make blizzard.
  25. His current rent.men ad lists him as 47, which I consider prime.
