Booze and drugs helps to lubricate and ease many things into happening. The behavioral barriers blur. People don't get hung up on what is expected of them later in life and partake in the fun.

As I said, I personally always try to have a quick video call to verify what they look like and shape they are in. I take a buyer beware approach to it. I would never pay someone if the person that shows up isn't who I saw in the video call.

I agree people should not use not other people's without their consent. With social media these days, it's all out there in the public domain to keep their privacy. If they are doing it for privacy, I can respect that. If it is outright bait and switch, that I can't agree with. As the AI tools get easier, I would prefer people use their own phots and alter their appearance so they keep their identify safe but close enough so it's not a shock when you see them in person. I'm actually surprised the guys haven't started just using the AI profiles all over IG already. Some are clearly marked. There are some which are trying to lure people into fake OF subs. I suspect this will increase as it become harder to tell the difference between real and fake OF accounts. OF doesn't care since they get a slice regardless.

With the increased use of governments (especially ours) of scrapping social media sites and building a vast database for facial recognition, I think more guys that travel to many different countries will see the benefit of not using their own photos, blurring their faces or cropping their heads off. I don't immediately reject someone who doesn't use their own photos as long as they look similar or better than who I thought I was expecting to me. Having a quick video call usually can remove this issue. I pass on anyone that doesn't want to do this. The use of outdated photos is more nuanced. I always ask how recent the photos are and loop in the video call or ask for a custom photo with a number of fingers held up. If it's obvious they look really differently now, I will pass. Not worth my time (and they definitely aren't going to get any of my money). As customers, I sometimes think we lose sight of this. That WE are the customers. Don't pay for what you didn't get.
