Spain has pretty easy programs for many Latin American countries with historic ties to Spain to gain legal residency as well as eventual citizenship. I personally know of 3 different guys who were just granted Spanish citizenship from different countries (Brazil, Colombia and Argentina). The common language makes them a lot more comfortable building a life there vs in non-Spanish speaking countries. Once they get a residency card, they can travel almost to any EU country. UK is an issue for some now that it is not in the EU any longer.

Remove the awkward minutes and it means more playtime! 😁

It's not really. Not sure people consider the how the first meet can be awkward for both parties as you're getting comfortable first with the person and figuring out what works or doesn't work with the other person.
