There are more than enough posts and threads about New Paradise being therapeutic only and that the management is very adverse to anything else. Aren't the real clowns the one who go in expecting more and then blaming anyone but themselves when it doesn't happen.
There's a robust search function on this forum for a reason!

Ownership would fire anyone they found out was giving extras. They aren't like the other spas nor are they positioning themselves in that marketspace.  If you are looking for the experience at Shangrila etc this really isn't the place to go.

It should also be noted New Paradise is NOT a place where the HE is generally an expectation, unlike most of the places discussed in this forum. While I've heard of things happening occasionally,  it's often the case that that guy doesn't last at the establishment afterwards.

Mustang reacted to + 7829V in Hired a masseur last week, and today I woke up with this rash 😯 Monkeypox?
I went to Kaiser, and they took some swabs from the affected area. It was a little painful but not that much. They'll send the samples to the lab to test for Monkey Pox and Herpes. The MD and the Nurse took all the precautions... wearing hazmat-like suits and they brought an air filter to the room, etc. It was too much I think. They even gave me an out of work order for 2 weeks 😳 but once they get the test results back, they can change it. It'll take 2-3 days for the results to be ready they said. I did ask for vaccines and they said they don't have them. They are very difficult to come by.
The more I read about Monkey pox, the more I think I don't have it. I don't have fever, I have a lot of energy, the rash is very localized, it is not painful or itchy... etc. But I think the MD was just taking abundant precautions. They took pictures and showed them to the Infectious Disease Expert and he said that it didn't look like Mpox, becuause they are usually bigger, but he wanted to still send the samples to the lab.
They did ask about my sex life/practices.
I was worried that I was going to get the rash all over my body... face, arms, genitals, etc. But thankfully that's not the case. Only on my quads.
Now only wait for a couple of days for the results. 🤷‍♀️
... but this incident will make me stop getting massages and hooking up for a while, until I get my vaccines... and in the process I'll save some $ 😁
Also, in the future I’ll ask masseurs to wash their hands and arms thoroughly before working on my body, and if possible use my own sheets for the massage table... and another sheet to drape, if they drape.... And also I’ll take a shower after the massage....

In my experience people with an attitude such as expressed by this person typically don’t listen to reasonable advice. I’d just like a link to his ad if he has one.

I understand that you feel that way. I grew into manhood during a time when HIV/AIDS was a death sentence. But monkeypox is not the same thing. Not even close. Try to take a deep breath and don't let your emotions overrule your logic.

I agree that having both people vax'ed would be ideal. However this whole forum is testament that practitioners are not always honest. I'm [partially] vax'ed and I trust that. I trust some guy going under a false name, who only accepts cash, and I probably never see again much much less.
Second your solution turns every 24 year old masseurs into a virologist/dermatologist. This week alone I had a large mosquito bite, an ingrown hair, and a small circular scrape. You really want a masseur to evaluate what's what in a dimly lit room? Initial lesions are few and flat and can be in the mouth or anus where the masseur can't see. Putting the onus on the masseur to determine what's acne or other benign skin conditions vs MPX seems irresponsible and provides a false sense of security. Not to mention they are no where near qualified to do so.

I saw him in June.  Agree 100%.  Beautiful physique, smooth and muscular.  Photos are accurate. Super nice guy, very sexy, very relaxing massage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Will see him again after I get my monkeypox vax.

I went recently and I can recommend. It's nice, clean, and new. One Ave from the subway stop. Called to schedule about an hour in advance and had no issues. Rooms were a nice size and there is a shower (I didn't use it). Prices are accurate as posted.
If you've been to Times Square [Mens] Spa then you'll be very familiar.  It's TSMS 2.0

In NYC we can't get 2nd doses. They won't even hint when we can.
My question is how long to wait before getting another massage?  At 4 weeks after first dose I should be about 85% protected. If there was some clue when 2nd doses would be available I'd be happy to wait, but at this point there's no finish line in sight.
Fortunately between behavior modification and vaccines cases are dropping in NYC.

The CDC said the smallpox vaccine from 50 years ago may provide "some protection" but I doubt they really know.
The NY Health Dept response has been a comedy of errors.
To get back to the original topic I'm pausing massages til I get vaccinated as a precaution.

Chelsea Spa is managed by Jimmy.  He is formerly the manager of TSMS and Hero.  He had text me about his opening and I decided to give them a try.  I was assigned Andy, yes another Andy, who is Asian.  Andy was skilled and pleasant.  The place is recently renovated and has a shower, though I didn't use it.  Pricing on the website is accurate.

As some of us know Jimmy, you know it will be run well and I wish him the best in this crazy competitive business.

I know that question has been asked a lot. I'm sure they will look into it, but just looking at NYC data we can see people 50+ are getting it.

I would also note that the smallpox vaccine given in the 60s/70s included a booster recommendation after 3 years if still in a high smallpox risk area.
