Saw it today. Strong strong strong indictment of racism. Top contender for the academy award for the pic and especially Spike Lee. I gave it a 10 on IMDB. The sad thing is that it won't be seen by the people that need to see it the most: the bigots and Trumpeteers.

I got a call this morning from Heather Ian‘s mother
Ian is the dwarf child you guys supported during my fundraising campaign to help Ian get accessible equipment to go outside.
I’m a part of a program called Angels in America it was Ian’s lifeline when he needed supplies friendship visits etc.
Many of you helped raise a lot of money to help him get accessible needs met .
Ian & his family were great friends and I consider them apart of my family.
He was my angel he was my hero.
Ian died this morning in his sleep. I’m crushed and heartbroken & very sad...and yet today I choose the miracle
Ian was 12 years old. He died peacefully after a wonderful day out doing what he does play like there is no tomorrow.
To say that I am crushed is beyond interpretation I am mortally wounded it’s a dark day. I am in flight to be with his family now. I just wanted to say thank you for all the support you gave this kid. You made his life better you saved him from a lonely isolated life. Be proud today be grateful be kind.

An overdue update. As of last week, all three are at home, We picked up Navy twin when he returned from sailing up the East Coast last week. He had an awesome time, and his favorite part was helming the sailboat in the middle of the night during a raging storm. Just what dad likes to hear.
 
Older bother has a part time job and DePaul twin a full time one, so Navy twin is home alone a bit-- he says he doesn't mind but is happiest when we're all there. Me too. Of course, his gf is back in DC too so he's out a lot in the evening. Having taken a break, DePaul twin and his gf are back together for the summer, and older brother is pining away for his gf in Boston, and talks to her every day.
 
Both twins have grown, so all three are the same height now. Older brother has grown more mature in demeanor, perhaps because life after college is approaching. The twins, once away from Annapolis, quickly resumed being goofballs. We have Navy twin for only a few more weeks, but for now the house feels like the old days.

One must be careful when stating that there are two side to every story. That statement is frequently used to excuse the bad behavior an individual or a country. There are some who attempt to rationalize the Japanese Attach on Pearl Harbor by stating that the U.S. and its allies forced Japan into into invading South East Asia and bombing Pearl Harbor in order to obtain certain raw materials (oil and rubber for example) that the United States, Britain, and the Netherlands had refused to sell to Japan. That is indeed a fact, as far as it goes, but what the apologists fail to mention is that the ban on the sale of those items came only after the Japanese invasion and "rape" of China. In order to get a "complete" picture of many historical events one need to read several (many) sources and then come to ones own conclusion.

History is often written by the winners. I take it all with a grain of salt.
