He canceled on me, saying he had family in town and got the dates mixed up

I would never have left my home if he did not respond. We as gay men get caught up in this hope that these unresponsive guys are worth us getting into a car, taxi, bus....and showing up somewhere and no response. Don’t bother with unresponsive masseurs. Move on. Weed these guys out of business. Yes...they look great in their pictures but be realistic if they don’t respond. This Forum is the best ever on getting rid of unprofessional masseurs.

Since I'm off work this week, I reached out to him yesterday to set up a session either yesterday or today if he had any availability, and expressed a preference for after 10 am, so I could avoid the additional commute time due to rush hour traffic. He offered 9 am today and since he is leaving town tomorrow, I took a deep breath and accepted.
 
This morning I texted him I was getting ready, then another text that I was on my way and pointing out I only had his general location from MF, so I would need more at some point, then a text when I arrived in the area at 8:45 am. No response. At 9 am, I texted I was leaving.

If you've read my posts, you know I'm in the 1 strike club, so I didn't respond. He offered about 3 different explanations why this happened. Since we know he has skills, perhaps in time he will come to understand that organization and communication are part of running your own business too.
 
I remember recently there was a thread about 'double confirmation" and there were a lot of people speaking out against it. I have to point out that if I had required that from him, perhaps I wouldn't have had to get up early on my vacation and spend over 2 hours in stop and go traffic for nothing.

Booked a massage with him last month in advance a week before his visit. and he gave me the address to where he would be staying. The day before our appt I texted him to confirm. He didn’t reply until the next day and said he had an emergency and had already left my city and returned home. 
It sounded bogus to me so I messaged him anonymously about booking him same day. He replied he was full for the day and was returning home the next day.   
So obviously he forgot about my appt and made an excuse he had left the city.  Never again.

I have no clue what the new domain will be.  It might end up as a .COM/.ORG, it might be .MEN, or any other valid top level domain.  This URL will NOT go away anytime soon.  It would become a redirect to the new URL.  It will continue to work for as long as we want it to exist.  (It costs us about $15 a year to maintain it, so it's not overly expensive.)  Once the new site is ready, users can use either address to get here.  The browser bar however will show the new domain name.  
Yes, this new address would be a "one stop shop" for everything.  We do not need to separate the forums from the review site.  It was done when there was a large amount of uncertainty around SOSTA/FESTA.  It's been more than a decade since then and the legal implications are much better understood.  I've had a lawyer review this and it was determined to not be a problem.  What's funny is that even if it was a problem...  if the government came after one site, they would have gotten both because both sites ran on the SAME server.  If they seized one, it would have taken both with it.  So in reality it was more about making the APPEARANCE of separation than what might happen if something was actually done about the review site.  
Our challenge with the daddysreviews.com domain itself is that when Daddy died, we were never able to gain control of the domain name.  It was associated with an email account no one knew the password to get into.  As a result, we cannot make any changes to that domain.  We cannot point it to our site's servers, etc.  It's basically just sitting there pointing to something that does not exist anymore (meaning Daddy's old server that went offline last summer).  
That domain name is set to expire in March of this year.  Specifically:
Registrar Registration Expiration Date: 2022-03-19T21:48:45Z
Once it expires, the domain enters a "redemption period" where the owner can reclaim it.  After it's expired 30-90 days, it will eventually be released and anyone can buy it first come, first serve.  I'm going to try to grab it for historical sake and point it back similar to how I would point this URL to the new one.  But I don't know for sure if I'll be able to get it before someone else can.  Think of shopping on Black Friday with limited quantities of items...  its a gamble if you will be able to get the item you want.  
So regardless...  it makes sense to continue with our new branding efforts with a new permanent domain.  All of our old domains will automatically push people into the new location and work transparently.  (Because there will be a domain change, you WILL need to save your password in your browser and login again for the first time once the new domain is live...  just like we did when I pointed everyone here following Daddy's death and the loss of his server.)

I know I'm late to this conversation, but I just had a bad experience with a masseur I found on RentMasseur, but when I tried to post my 2-star review, they rejected it (claiming I never saw him).
 
Even after I showed them pics of their own site showing me initiating phone (SMS) contact, twice, and even sending them pics of the conversation, they won't accept my review. 
So, I wonder if there would be some way to review or alert about whole sites? Because right now, RentMasseur has lost all credibility in my eyes, that their reviews are meaningless.

Just want to raise the possibility that the other person was sitting in the dark in an attempt to make it less obvious that someone else was there, not because he and the provider had some plot to do something bad to client.  That being said, it's clearly not the best way to handle it given the emotions it has elicited in this thread.  I've shown up for appointments where there were other people present in the apartment and it's always made me feel awkward, particularly when there's no way to avoid seeing/being seen by that person.  The best resolution is to simply have that person make themselves absent during appointments, either by actually leaving the residence or by going into another room and closing the door so it isn't apparent that anyone else is there.

I saw him and it was a really good experience. He was responsive and professional and came to my hotel with his table. His skills were very good and hit all the right spots.  Very sexy, laid back and a man of few words once you’re in his table.  Id recommend and I’m definitely planning on seeing him again when I’m the Seattle area again.

He’s on rentmasseur under the same name, and I contacted him from there about a massage. He said $170 for an erotic massage mutual touch and HE, which these days is a bargain.
His body is truly amazing, looks like the pics, rock hard muscles and smooth skin (he said he’s a personal trainer, and it shows; though he probably uses older photos, as his face gives away an age more mid-30s than 29, as his profile says—not a deal breaker, but just a slight difference). Really nice guy too, chill and friendly.
Only problem is while he “aims to please” (as he said in person) it means he’s indecisive about his offerings. Massage started off nice, good deep pressure and focusing on problem areas. But after about 15 minutes he seemed to want to move on to the extras quickly and finished me off at the 30-min mark and didn’t suggest anything to fill the rest of the time. Would probably save your money, unless you tell him exactly what you want in the moment. 

I've hired him. He's definitely not a talker if you're into that, but if that doesn't bother you I highly recommend him. Looks just like his pictures and is very good at what he does.

Even if he was vaccinated I refuse to support anyone that uses the term "medical apartheid."
