I agree.  I think it's disrespectful not to reply, particularly after you spent time telling him about yourself and your interests.  A few guys have replied to me with "Sorry but I can't help you" or "Not my scene".  At least I feel they have listened to me as opposed to those who just don't reply.

I would be happy if he replied to inquiry texts with a simple “Thanks but not interested,” I’d be ok with that rather than his not replying at all!

I hate being interviewed by a provider. Keep the chit chat light and simple and then let’s get it on. 

Lately, I have had many providers (both escorts and masseurs) with very bad breath. When questioning them in a friendly manner (not bringing up the subject of their breath) I find out they have been eating at local Asian restaurants (Thai, Korean, Vietnamese) and the odors stay on their breath and on their bodies. (One guy stunk of garlic and lemongrass). They are not scents which I find sexy nor appealing in any way. Please brush your teeth and use mouthwash ! 

the basics are pretty obvious.....be very clean, sharp, "all there", sober, friendly, relaxed, calm and collected......
I also don't like cologne, antiperspirant, floral scents, etc.....please just be soaped up and rinsed off.....
if walking thru a hotel, public space, lobby, be discreet and low-key....no crazy clothes.....don't draw attention to yourself.....
talk slowly and just hang out like a good buddy.....

Though the question is directed at clients, I'll echo the request from clients to not wear antiperspirant. This is probably the most common request I get from clients, so nowadays before an appointment I'll shower so I'm clean, but don't apply antiperspirant or cologne. Some clients request smelling stinky, but most just want clean but not scented.

The op has this strange view that this isn't real life for many of us who have made it a very real, very successful choice of living.

I think we live in two different universes. There are Americans who can't read the comments made by reviewers on RM ( unless they have the knowledge of using VPN) and all other citizens in the world who can see these comments. 
I use the comments extensively in my research of possible providers on RM, along with the wording and pics and videos in their ads. If I have a question, I sometimes ask a previous reviewer about his experience. Sometime this has been helpful. Othertimes not. 
Generally I have had good results. And I hire a lot, probably more than 90 percent on this forum.

I agree thevnegative reviews should aleays be left posted unless they are clearly fraudulent. RM does allow a small number of negative reviews to remain. 
I usually won't post a negative review but those times were mostly when I was less experienced and did meet with a few clunkers.
Tjese days I frequently see the same providers multiple times and I have given all of them at least one positive review. I stopped doing multiple ones some years ago with perhaps one or two exceptions.

Another point I would make is that while there are no stats to support it, I think the fee paying clients of Rentmen probably hire more providers on RM than non premium members. As such they are in a better position to make comparisons and offer better assessments in their reviews.
One thing I discount is reviews by clients who are inexperienced at hiring.

I favor the new rule that only premium clients, such as I am, can contribute reviews to enhance the hiring experience. By paying a fee we are showing our commitment to maintaining the standards of the organization.
While some non premium clients may be of the same best intentions, others may be trying to undermine the system. After all they have no skin in the game. I would rather not hear their voices frankly.

I am glad for the new rule as it makes it harder for providers to create accounts for bogus reviews.
as much as I pay providers, the cost of RM is very reasonable.

I just had an overnight with a provider I first contacted a year ago. Nothing came of our brief conversation at that time but when he appeared in my area on his RM ad I contacted him. We had a great exchange of info about ourselves and I felt confident in going ahead with inviting him to my home.
I had read all his reviews which were very positive and other info including a blog site he has. Well the short of it is that he more than lived up to my expectations and we had a great time. He even helped me make a delicious breakfast!

PRESENTATION:
In addition to analyzing reviews, I always analyze a provider's ad in its entirety.
I begin by zooming in to their photos and analyzing the details. If they have an interview, I read it. If they have social media, I analyze that too. The entire time I'm doing this, I'm judging them. Are they here because they want to be here? How intelligent are they? Do they have health and hygiene standards? Do they have boundaries? How much effort have they put into all of this? Do they appear to have at least basic morals/values?

COMMUNICATION:
Now that you've completed your research, it's time to initiate contact. First, let's put ourselves in their shoes.
Many providers, myself included, receive hundreds of spam messages per day. Bots, trolls, flakes, harassers, stalkers, con artists, LEOs attempting to entrap them, other providers “booking them up” so they won’t have any availability… They have to deal with just as much, if not considerably more, nonsense as you do.
If you want a non-desperate provider to respect you, then you have to respect them too. If you treat them like merchandise, they're going to treat you like an ATM.

There'll always be risk in this industry—for both of us. Clients will lose money and providers will lose time. Some will lose both. All we can do is figure out where our limits are, do our research and treat people how we want to be treated.
If the majority behaves professionally and respectfully, regardless of how others behave, it'll become the new standard.
