I'm actually not that big a fan of their burgers. I mean they are ok-nothing particularly special. And they are very expensive.

While I couldn't swear (because it's not nice to swear), I sincerely doubt my Mom fried them twice. They were still delicious. I agree with McDonald's fries being not so good once they cool down.

Ok the story-I met Edgar (a nom de Message Center) in December 2019 off of Growlr. He was a tall athletic guy. He did competitive cycling. I think he made the 1st contact unless I 'woofed' him first. He was one of the relatively few that even though he was athletic, he was into chubby guys like me. Going thru this now I'm looking at old texts from Growlr and old texts on my phone. Edgar was some type of VP in his company. He would spend part of the year in Arizona and part of the year in New England. He had one of those big trailers like the rockstars travel in. When we 1st met it must have been a few months before Covid. But then once Covid hit we he still traveled to Texas several times. We mainly talked (texted) around the time of his visits. We probably met 4 or 5 times in 2019/2020, a few times in 2021c and a few times in 2022. Then I hadn't heard from him for several months in 2022c and I contacted him late June 2022. I find out he had had a spontaneous bowel perforation and had been hospitalized. Then I didn't hear from him for two months. And that August find out he had complications and was back in the hospital. We texted intermittently after that. Always pretty much instigated by me. Turns out he kept having complications. Our final text was October 2023. He said he had been in the hospital all together 5 months and had had 9 surgeries. I texted again in November of 2023. But I never heard back. In the meantime I've thought of him-obviously not all the time-but repeatedly. I looked several times on Growlr to see if I could find a new profile. I'm sure I also put his name in a search engine once or twice to see if it popped up that he was working for a new company (his company was being sold at one point, and he wasn't sure about his position being safe). I had thought there was a good chance that he had gotten a new position at a new company, wasn't traveling to Dallas anymore, and saw no real reason to contact me. I mean we texted a bit but mainly he contacted me when he was planning a visit. And once he got ill, there were times he didn't answer back. Well tonight I was looking at my saved 'friends' on Growlr. I seldom erase people even if I don't see them anymore. And I just decided to put his name in Google Search. It turns out Edgar died in December of 2023 about two months after we last texted. He was supposed to have more surgery either that November or December. I'm assuming either something happened before surgery or maybe complications from the surgery. I'm just very sad. We weren't friends friends. But oh I don't know. He was a nice guy. I only knew him peripherally on his visits here to Dallas. But we met multiple times from late 2019 to early 2022, and it's just a shock.

When I lived in Cincinnati 20 something years ago, I'd go to Steak and Shake. I didn't like it that much, but it was open 24 hours. And it wasn't too far from where I lived. I looked for it online fairly recently. And I think that location must have bit the dust along with the Applebees I used to go to and the Famous Dave's BBQ.

Au contraire, my good man!! My Mom used to make homemade French fries from time to time-often when she made meatloaf. And yes they were incredibly good. But that doesn't mean I turned my nose up at the fry offerings at Mickey D's. Obviously they weren't as good as my Mom's. But most food establishments didn't cook as good as my Mom. These days I'll still eat McDonald's fries. But I think that since they quit using tallow they aren't as good. Wendy's may be my favorite fast food fries now.

I saw Jamie twice when I lived in Corpus. He wasn't one my greatest hires. I think he promised a bit more than he delivered. But he was friendly enough, and I liked him. But on one visit to see Patrick just as I was arriving one of the engine lights came on. I was all hot and bothered when I finally made it inside his condo. His place was right around the corner from a Walgreens. After we finished, he walked to the Walgreens with me. I think I needed antifreeze. I found some at the Walgreens. And he helped me carry the antifreeze back to my car.

I'm not sure if I should make this thread as the escort is retired. But I wanted some opinions from people who are better at visual things than I am. I'm more of a word person. I'm the type that gets bored with too much scenery description in books because I don't picture it well. I realize everyone ages. But at least by pictures, I wouldn't be able to swear that this is the same person. What do y'all think?
