I'm younger than many of the gentlemen here. In my early 50s. So not really at the stage where things started to slow down much. But wanted to add that my testosterone levels are checked every year in my annual physical and THAT continuously high level of testosterone makes a big difference in any man's sexual desire and performance. So in my opinion if you CAN artificially keep your levels up, I don't see why you wouldn't take advantage of the opportunity.
I suppose for some the reduced desire to be chasing after sex is a welcome part of maturing. But if you can afford to get what you want sexually, why not continue to enjoy until it's time to stick you in a box and say goodbye ?
I like the opportunity for company especially when I travel solo.

---   LARRY IS IN ROOM 232 AT THE HOSPITAL! =============================================== Okay, so you're asking, "Who in the hell is Larry?"   Larry gets home late one night and his wife, Linda, says, "Where in the hell have you been?"   Larry replies, "I was out getting a tattoo."   "A tattoo?!?" she screeched. "What KIND of tattoo?"   "I got a hundred dollar bill on my penis," he said proudly.   "What the hell were you thinking?!?" she said, shaking her head in total disgust. "Why in the world would an accountant get a hundred dollar bill tattooed on his dick?"   "Well, for one, I like to watch my money grow."   "Two, once in a while, I enjoy playing with my money."   "Three, I like how money feels in my hand."   "And, best of all, instead of you going shopping, you can stay right here at home and blow a hundred bucks anytime you want!"   As I said, Larry is in room 232 at the hospital.

About a decade ago I used to travel to Hong Kong a couple of times a year for work. I used https://www.utopia-asia.com/hkmasa.htm to research male spas there. As Marc said they are concentrated on HK Island as well as in Kowloon. In most cases, a great experience.

BTW, long time reader of the forum. Since retiring and the pandemic, my travel is limited so I no longer have recent masseur experiences to share here… but I enjoy reading what other members contribute.

    I agree.
I don't personally like to hire escorts, as I prefer to meet people in person before I know if I am interested in them, sexually.
Men who offer both sexual services and (reasonably good)massage services are my preference. Booking for a massage gives me a chance to meet them, at a reasonable rate. If I am interested in more, this encounter gives me a chance to discuss sex services IN PERSON after the massage is completed, the provider is paid, and he has had a chance to meet me and catch the vibe of my personality. This also drastically limits the always present risk of entrapment in a prostitution sting operation.

Something about the guy. I've never seen a single photo where he looks bad. Doesn't need a "good side" or special lighting. Every random paparazzi shot looks like a modeling gig. Beautiful man.

Your attempt to sympathise with pluralism in a conversation about "classic" beauty is interesting.
It touches on the very problem with the understanding of "classically handsome" in this conversation. The idea is NOT pluralistic and multi-cultural and it doesn't try to be. This is likely why you're not finding many examples of it in multicultural places like NYC. Physical beauty and sexual attractiveness in multi-ethnic communities don't rely on the familiarity of a refined version of a single race. But the idealism of "classically handsome" DOES. So the concept is always borne of focus and therfore has no room for multiculturalism.
All that said....I will use a single viewpoint from my own experiences of growing up in an all white, primarily Germanic community who's finer quality gentlemen were very much in the same category as the  Hollywood Hunks of the 1920s to 1970s. MY environment surrounded me with many fine examples of classically handsome men who I did find to be beautiful. But once I left this monolithic society and moved first to LA and then to New York, my experiences of beauty changed and I am now more inclined to be attracted to people who look very different from me and therefore different from the Hollywood ideal.
So this conversation keeps mixing up people's personal sexual triggers with the more narrow idea of "classically handsome" , which like the Greeks and Romans, is focused on one race and the refinement of one look.
Today I would sooner go for Regé-Jean Page than Chris Hemsworth but I am well aware that Regé is an example of the new idea of multicultural beauty, and not eligible.for the narrow idea of "classically handsome" as Hemsworth may be viewed.
The point is that what YOU PERSONALLY find to be most beautiful is not necessarily the same as someone who's interest is focused on "classical beauty".

Greg250 reacted to pubic_assistance in Is going to college still worth it?
Obviously, this question is broadly posed
For many, it's a complete waste of time. But there are many careers that require a solid college education.
I think the biggest waste of cash is students who attend high-cost, name-brand schools and then take bull*hit classes aiming for a moderate salary career.
Community colleges and/or State University education suffices in most "normal" jobs.
The other question is whether most students are ready for college at the end of High School. I did a gap year. Best decision I could have made.

Sometimes younger Americans forget how dangerous it often was in the past to be "out" in America, and how dangerous it still is in many parts of the world. Gay men anywhere have many reasons other than legal or physical danger to want to stay "in the closet." Being openly gay may affect their livelihood, their acceptance in a religion that is important to them, their personal relationships with family or other important persons in their lives. One's sexual orientation or sexual behavior is something that one can manage to hide more easily than one's race, physical disabilities, lack of education or financial means, and other issues that affect one's social interactions.
That being said, staying in the closet can have psychological repercussions, given how important one's sexuality is to a healthy, integrated personality. In my late teens, I had what was loosely called a "nervous breakdown," and my parents sent me to see a counseling psychologist. He gave me the best advice--and surprising advice in those days--which was to always tell the truth to myself about who I was, and to be honest with my loved ones, even if it was hard to do. In other situations, be as honest as you could be pragmatically (this was in the early 1960s, when being homosexually active  was illegal and could get one expelled from school, fired from a job, banned from the military, and even sent to prison). I went home from his office, and told my parents I was "homosexual" (they had no idea what "gay" meant), and to my relief they did not seem openly upset (my mother asked, "How do you know?" which caused me to start laughing and relax). I was already out to a couple of my closest friends, and from then on I was ready to admit my orientation to anyone else who asked. Within a couple more years I had met new friends who were very active in the burgeoning gay rights movement and had joined them in their activities; when a photo appeared in a major newspaper of me taking part in a protest, I gave up any pretense of not being gay.
I do not condemn anyone who stays in the closet for a good reason, though I still would encourage them to be as honest with themselves and as open with others as is possible for them. I agree that those who are stridently homophobic are usually fighting against fear of being perceived as gay by others.

My nephews say that all the time in front of me, and I am openly bisexual.
It's just something the kids say now. They don't mean it in the way it might sound.
Putting my two cents in...I am not "gay" in the traditional lifestyle sense...but I did identify as "gay" for a few years before my wife and I decided to marry. ( I know...complicated). But none-the-less I've been around the block enough to know what it's like to be in or out of a closet and I would say that @Charlie hit the nail on the head. You don't KNOW what someone's life is composed of enough to ever be critical of how "out" that person should be ( or could be).  I personally am quite critical of the gay-mafia types who insist that every dick-sucker expose himself to the public and announce his "pride". That just isn't realistic in every corner of the globe and in every family. People need to make their own decisions about what's right for THEM.  No one else should tell you how to live your life.
I think bi-sexuals are perceived a bit differently by the general public, than homosexuals, and the fact that I am married with kids often give me a "cover" if you will....but there are many layers of choices. My wife ( who is also bisexual) make on a daily basis as to how much someone needs to know about our sex life. The general consensus between us is that we don't HIDE in a closet, but it's really not any of most people's business. If someone really asks, we tell. Otherwise I prefer you know me by my sense of style, sense of humor or sense of pride about other lifestyle choices I've made. I don't choose to be judged by where I stick my dick.

Many pleasures in life come with risks. Sex is one of them.
STDs are not specific to gay people so NO you aren't being punished for being gay.
Your brain is going to question your choices for a while but your misfortune is not so common that you need to abstain forever. You will heal and so will your spirit.

I had a session with him when I lived and worked in CA for 5 years and would travel to SF monthly… probably around 2015. I recall he had a nice space, great ambiance (candles and subdued lighting) and gave a decent sensual massage. He was the strong silent type of provider. He is taller than me with a nice athletic body and looked very sexy in his tiny briefs when the massage began. I certainly would repeat if I had the chance.

Since I recently retired, I’ve found I needed a new schedule for my morning routine. I still get up at 5 am and with my first coffee(s) of the day, I read Company of Men, which takes about an hour to do. Then shower and get dressed and then head out to the gym for a couple of hours… then get on with the rest of my day (and life)! 😊

Late last year one of my regular clients was chatting with me about my clothes and started quizzing me about my daytime professional job and what clothes I wear.
I responded that I mostly wear athletic dress shirts and Ralph Lauren custom fit polo shirts and typically Ralph Lauren chinos and suits during the winter.
He tends to be very trendy and suggested an overhaul.     Told me to forgo the older Ralph Lauren chinos and consider something like slim fitting Banana Republic  Chinos or even American Eagle.     They are much trimmer and tend to show off my ass and body in a way the Ralph Lauren chinos did not.     This was a bit of an educaiton for me.    A couple of things he stressed:
    1.  Dress for success in a professional  setting means showing off your bod and showing what you have.     Marketing yourself all the time can be a good thing.
    2. Be willing to change things up and keep a new and fresh appearance,  whether it be for casual clothes or work.

I did make some major changes.    I do like the refresher.    Comments on this client's thoughts and his thoughts of "marketing yourself"    no matter what the venue?
