I can understand how you feel. I usually start off by talking a bit, getting them a drink, normal getting to know someone a little, etc.. However, I consider us to be "on the clock" once I let him in. Also, after a few minutes, I usually say something like "shall we go get more comfortable?". I don't live in the city center and I couldn't imagine having them drive this way and then not counting the whole time they are with me.

Years ago I was on a jury. A 21 year old guy was hiring women and when finished, he would beat them pretty badly. Because several came forward, they were able to find and apprehend him. We sentenced him to 60 years. I'm convinced we put away a serial killer away before he killed anyone.

Wow, you need to take a deep breath next time and make a move to get things going. Lean over and give him a big hug and a kiss, and start exploring. He should have done better, but you let him sit there and talk. Unfortunate.

The problem is -and obviously it's not just with gay men-but he's too handsome. There are many gay men who would do anything to be with this guy. I'm sure all the adulation porn stars get has a tendency to go to their heads.

Years ago I hired one of the handsomest guys to ever advertise. He's now retired. He was an incredibly nice guy. But you knew from the way he looked that he could have just about any guy he wanted. And it probably didn't hurt that he was well-hung and endurant to the point that he probably had trouble cumming when jerking off. (In case anyone is getting ideas about why I hired him, he was also versatile). And as nice as the guy was, there was an attitude. It probably wasn't as bad that being described about Riley. But it was still there.

Human nature doesn't take well to being adulated.

It surprises me how some of these guys lack decent customer service skills. Especially in such a service oriented profession.

As others have said, communication is key.

Be clean all over, brush your teeth, use mouthwash, and be presentable. I can't make myself 20 years younger but I can make sure what I give you to work with is fresh and clean.

My suggestion is to do a search for discussion which detail the various aspects, from resorts, to restaurants, to participant, to escorts and beyond. They cover a lot of territory. Then if you have specific questions members are more than happy to answer them. For example, https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/2020-palm-springs-weekend-17.148023/, or https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/attention-15th-annual-palm-springs-weekend-2019.146311/ and https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/2019-palm-springs-weekend.136028/. A lot to read but you may have other inquiries.

    Great recommendation from TBT:

But to keep things simple - there are two organized events and all you need to do is answer one question about each to know whether you would like to attend.

    (1) Saturday dinner - - would you enjoy cocktails and dinner with a group of about 40-50 men with casual conversations about this hobby and current events?

    (2) Sunday pool party - - would enjoy attending a private party at our host's rented home with a group of escorts and clients where some folks are comfortable being poolside with skimpy swimwear and less?

I first attended three years ago and it has become a "spring break" of sorts for me.

The rest of the time spent is whatever one wants to make of it, from taking advantage of the many good restaurants, attending some of the gay bars, catching up on reading poolside or talking with other guests (that may or may not be attending this event) at whichever hotel/resort you've selected, going to the gym, shopping, time at the casino, or getting a massage. Sometimes things are done alone, but other times someone lets folks know that he is planning to go to bar x after dinner Saturday and 10 or so wind up going there.

I don't take anything said during a session too seriously. It's fun, it's playing, it's talking and saying all kinds of things. I've been told it before and have returned it. No big deal, just have fun. Say whatever the hell you want to say! ?

I have had similar responses. I am polite yet to the point without being too explicit. As soon as I get a rude tone, I cut it off. It puzzles me because who would expect me to be a client to someone who was just rude to me. As mentioned above, I think it's better you found out sooner than later. But I feel for you if you're in a limited market.
