Good response from @Jamie21. I feel it’s OK to ask, but @samsmithson1972 how can you rely on the answers?

You have to protect your own health. If you’re planning to hire at this time, it may be better to simply ask what precautions the guy is taking to protect his health and yours.

Definitely ok to ask. Important that you do ask especially about HIV and STD’s. No one should be working if they’re not regularly tested. I’m totally fine if clients ask me about my status. If a provider takes offence at such a request then you’ve got your answer about whether or not they’re any good haven’t you?

Cash will always be king in this business.

There are a lot of clients with a lot to lose... And a digital paper trail of indiscretion is not a wise move.

On the flip, there are a lot of escorts who under-report or don't report any of their income to the IRS. Accepting a lot of electronic money is a first-class way to give the government an easy case against you.

As a client, I don't like negotiating. When I see a provider asking an exorbitant price, I just move on.

I like it better when a provider competes on looks and service, not price.

I have always told my clients that if a rate will impede their ability to enjoy the time spent, then it's too high and they should find another escort who's more price appropriate.

There's nothing worse- for either party- than feeling that the money is forefront throughout the entire experience. It ruins everything.

is also about hiring someone for sex, and we all think twice before spending our hard earned money. That's why @JoeMendoza became doubtful about meeting the provider again even if he had a previous encounter with him.

To you, perhaps, and presumably to quite a few other folks. I definitely get what you’re saying. Not everyone comes to this for the same reasons or expectations. In general, yes, it’s about sex for most (but even that’s not absolute). I don’t get the sense that’s all it was about for the OP, and that’s ok if it isn’t. Maybe he wanted a “date.” Maybe he just wanted to feel respected? How dramatic. ? Just like there are providers and clients who are focused only on the gratification of the moment and that’s all, there are others who enjoy connecting in ways that transcend the physical and play a part in their enjoyment. It’s easy and perhaps justifiable to dismiss it or simplify as unnecessary drama if it really is “just sex,” but human interaction is rarely so simple.

A regular client can cancel on me without consequence if they have something come up and are willing to reschedule - you offering a little compensation for cancelling, regardless of your reasoning, would mean a lot to me. You did what you could and he's the one that ruined the moment...
Do you really think he was asleep sending that long text with no mistakes? At best, he thought he was replying to someone else - that would have been a reasonable excuse. His text was awful and uncalled for and simply not nice. His apology helped until "It was truthful, but it doesn't even apply to you at all."
If he really feels the way his text made it sound, he sounds like an asshole with psychological issues I don't want to waste money on.

I would not have met him either. I think you handled it well. The few times I've decided to meet someone after the mood was shot (for whatever reason) it has never ended well. I don't buy his, "I was on the plane and tired" excuse. I feel like it showed an angry side of him that is honestly a little worrisome. I also don't think he deserved the pay after that statement... unless he was traveling a long-distance just for you?

The provider willingly participated in the sexy banter as well, so I don't see where you crossed the line. If he thought you were overdoing it, he could've communicated as such.

If you were going to change anything, I'd say you should give yourself permission to avoid what you don't like. If a booking were made and you said something to spook the provider, he would cancel too. You should not feel bad about that at all.

Bringing up D.O. or contacting D.O.? If you speak with D.O. regularly anyway, why not contact him to ask if he knows whether Paddy is escorting in your area right now?

I think you need to be logged in to, paid or not, to see size, circumcision status, position, and safety information. Having been paid in the past, paying gets you the ability to see semiprivate pics (and I think private as well) without asking the escort’s permission, and whatever videos they’ve posted.

Same on the Ryan Jordan/Christian Wilde love. Neither one is generally my type, but there’s something about them that i love. Christian was the first person I thought seriously about hiring. Didn’t go through with it though.

Hlparx got a reaction from marylander1940 in Disclosing STD Test Results
I’m reviving this thread after eight years to ask a question about disclosure when one person learns that he may have had an STI during an encounter.

I have a regular provider, but after having not seen him since early August, arranged to meet someone new on Halloween. I’d recently been tested, including throat swabs, in late September and had no issues. I also saw no one between the test and Halloween. I thought the new provider was odd, but overall we had a pleasant encounter, and we parted on seemingly good terms.

About a week after Halloween, I noticed some throat discomfort and congestion after some COVID panic, decided it was likely a cold or a reaction to the shift in weather and treated it as such, primarily with Vicks and lozenges. Nevertheless, the sore throat was persistent for another week and I have a low-grade headache and am perpetually cold. I happen to get on Rentmen and notice that there’s a new review for the provider I saw on Halloween and that it’s a negative one. Curious, I convince the Rentmen servers that I live in Canada, and see that there’s a narrative. The reviewer alleges that the provider passed gonorrhea to him while the client had been fellating him. I reach out to the client and ask for more information, including when he met with the provider. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to give dates beyond saying it was “recently” and that he’d just finished his own two-week sabbatical.

According to the client, during an attempt to schedule a second encounter, the provider told him that had pain in one testicle and had urinated blood, and the client suggested that the provider see a doctor. Shortly afterwards, the client said he had similar symptoms. When the client follows up to try to book again, the provider discloses that the doctor thought it was gonorrhea.

With these details, some things during my meeting with the provider became clearer. For example, he’d excused himself to use the restroom twice in two hours for the better part of ten minutes, but mentioned that he’d been unable to urinate.

The morning, I’m off to urgent care where I’m prescribed antibiotics and within a day of taking them, my sore throat is gone.

On the whole, if everything the client told me is true, I suspect that the provider met with me shortly after beginning treatment or shortly before he learned that he may have contracted gonorrhea. He hasn’t contacted me to mention that there may have been a problem and I’m wondering if it’s unreasonable for me to expect him to.
