I texted to inquire about rates & more info. Took him a few days to reply, but he seemed polite and thorough. Trying to coordinate our schedules...I’ll update if/when I see him.

The risk is too great right now to go for any type of session. Not for myself but more so for my elderly parents and my baby niece. They're in my so called bubble so I'm more concerned for them than myself.

I received my first dose of the vaccine and the only side effect I felt was the soreness around the injection site. That went away after 24 hours. I am to get the second shot a week from tomorrow, and I intend to. This is the first vaccine of its kind so there is no telling what the long-term effects I might suffer from or there may not be one at all. It doesn't guarantee, however, that I won't be carrying the virus and pass it on to someone else. That risk exist with or without the vaccine.

I don't understand why there are some who decide to not take the vaccine. Some I worked with and are in the health profession but that is their decision to make. They are willing to take the risk of the virus even after being in the front lines and witnessing its effects. I have a few coworkers who denied it at first but have since changed their minds. Guess what? There's none available. Any additional dose we get will be for those getting their second shot. Any extra dose, if any, will then be appropriated to those next on the priority list. That's what's going to happen. Those who had the chance will regret not getting it when they finally have to compete with the general population.

I miss the massage, the touch. I did go for one when Chicago opened up briefly over the past summer. It felt nice. But I do realize that people getting on and off that table is not within my bubble so I'm just putting those within at risk. So I stopped. I miss it terribly.

Cute face, normal guy build, bit of a stomach. Not as ripped as some of the Lucky Horseshoe gang...but the rub made up for it

Hot & friendly guy, erotic massage is a little extra and done in the nude, with touching allowed, and is very sensual. It did seem like he is pretty competent, so I'd try again especially if it turns out that he has a table in his place, I forgot to ask. Chicago so needs good masseurs after several of my favorites left. You may want to try this one and give us a second opinion. Or a third, fourth, etc.

Sorry, bud- but that attitude is part of the problem. While YOUR outcome may be OK, what about the various sundry people you spread it to? What about the mom with kids you infect at the grocery store? What about your own parents or grandparents? What about your best friend? Sure- you may only get sick, others will die and that will be directly caused by your behavior and laissez-faire attitude.

All of these are good responses and I agree with being uncomfortable with details for all the reasons mentioned. I have always gotten very good recommendations from guys on this message board and more than a few times steered away from a bad experience and a waste of money. So honest feedback is very important and I always welcome that and try to provide it when asked. But... honest feedback is often very different than over-sharing on other things that may happens during a massage. That should be between provider and client.

Outing? I wouldn't. That's an emotional reaction, and no one really knows the therapist's every motivation.

Maybe its a genuine belief that clients need their sessions. Maybe he's scared about income. Keeping things going.

Maybe he's just mistaken in beliefs. Or just plain wrong, making a bad decision under pressure.

What's it help to out the person? To add stress? Potentially wreck their career, or initiate online torture?

We're too quick to blame and cause others unanticipated harm in the digital age.

    Just cancel and stay safe.

Countries, states, metro areas that don't take this seriously, even for a couple weeks (e.g., Italy, Iran) experience mortality of over 5%. Those that take aggressive containment measures right away (e.g., quarantine & lockdowns, Singapore, Russia) limit it to less than 1%. This shit is dangerous, I am not hiring any traveling masseurs any time soon, sorry. I might hire a local here in Chicago if our rate starts to go down, and note that it's already low compared to the big coastal cities. Time to behave responsibly, not just for ourselves but for the wider community. And that means limiting our close interaction with unknown others, many people who carry the virus don't even know it.

If you like him and think he’s receptive to constructive feedback then maybe you can do him and yourself a favor. Perhaps some written feedback that wouldn’t offend and if it’s taken well offer to have a second session.

You do not need to go to Asia to find scaring homophobia. It often shows in the USA and even these forums.
I am not afraid of ISIS, I am afraid of Evangelical Christians working to set a theocratic government in America. But let's leave politics out of this thread.

I’ve always been interested in language and word choice. Very nerdy, I know.

I’m not young or good looking. I’ve never read a post with YMMV to mean the poster was bragging in some way. To me it’s always been more of a heads-up: no guarantee that my experience will match yours.

These are human interactions we’re having and writing about here. Every masseur has good days and lesser days. I have good days and not so good days. Throw those infinite variabilities in the pot along with how the masseur and me are impacted by many other things leading up to the moments of massage and there you go. YMMV.

I’m introducing a new term: MOMMV, which stands for My Own Mileage May Vary, which applies to how I have seen the same masseur on different occasions and felt one appointment was so much better than another.

Since no one else seems to have any input, I took the plunge myself...and was pleasantly surprised! He was easy to communicate with via text during setup. Professional setup in a separate room with heated table - and one of the best technical massages I’ve ever had. And no, he’s not just therapeutic.

I saw him while he was traveling...similar experience. Not a super clean Airbnb. Nice guy, great eye candy, but mediocre massage at best. He was on his phone for half the time & only using one hand to “massage” my back. I wouldn’t repeat either.

I’m with @Capitano and @Radames on this one. I’ve seen Johnny twice (before he became Taylor). The first time was great. The second time, it turned sensual pretty quick... Not sure I like the 50-50 chance of what would happen if I see him a third time.
