In California we are upset with Gavin for this bullshit. You don't relax when a curve flattens - you maintain in order to point that sucker down. We are going to just keep riding this goddamn wave if we don't stick with orders for longer. I spend time in LA, and it's sad to see so many million entitled people get frustrated by something that they claim they can't see - they can't see it because they don't live in black and brown neighborhoods, most their friends are under 40, and they don't hang out at hospitals.

I don't want to speak for others, but for me, my patrons typically are 20+ years older than me. I've only had a few patrons in the last 5 years that were younger than me. Moreover, as a provider, I've always felt there wasn't a place for ageism, and I suspect many other escorts are of a similar mindset (IMO).

FWIW, I know my patron base is typically 25 years older than me, so if it's safe to go and you'd like to spend the weekend in PS with like minded individuals, you should go.

So, I'm not sure what that marketplace's response will be when it's safer to see patrons again. Hopefully there will be some pent-up demand (? if you will), but it's possible the marketplace may have shifted.

As a client, I have stayed in a couple of B&B’s which were gay owned and here I was able to bring escorts in to see me. Usually I stay in large hotels where I can do the same with privacy assured. As a guest in a gay/gay escort owned lodging, I wouldn’t mind sharing common spaces with either other escorts or clients as I am pretty relaxed in the scene. The only reason for wanting privacy in hotels is to avoid embarrassment to others and the awkwardness it could engender.

I cannot host in NYC, and frequently I meet potential sex partners that cannot host either, so having access to a clean and safe airbnb would be great since regular hotels can be a pain for day encounters.

I am a masseur, and I would defiately love the idea of being able to rent a place at a reasonable nightly rate that could have a separate bedroom where I could sleep and a room with a massage table and linens avalable to use. This would be so great to have arrangements like this in a number of cities if there are any other guys who have massage tables and space to host traveling masseurs and mopen to me having clients there.

By the day, just like an airbnb, and possibly using the airbnb platform to handle the reservations. I would not want local guys to use it.

Maybe it's the intentional message you want it to be. The way to find out is to ask him.

In my trips to these forum gatherings (and the other travels I've had in conjunction with them) the men I've met have been 20 or more years younger than me, and none of them has shown the slightest hesitation in meeting me. Others I've simply chatted with at the gatherings have engaged with me on twitter. That said, I never assume anyone is open to a meeting, and ask. For most, ageism doesn't come into it.

I’ve been dilly-dallying about this event. If it’s “safer” by then, I’ll come, but I’ll probably have to stay in Rancho Mirage or something since PS may be sold out, unless Coachella is cancelled, which I think may be likely.

I never felt a question of age regarding the event. Basically it was organized for Forum members to meet each other after having known each other through their writings and picture postings during the year. I have never felt I was going to pick up other Forum members. Except after having met other members occasionally you lay the framework of meeting each other elsewhere to keep the Weekend relationship going. Of course, as mentioned elsewhere, there are escorts who attend but if you have a connection and come to an agreement to get together age generally has no bearing on whether you can get together. If age is a factor in those circumstances there would not be an agreement to begin with. I have found that the workers who come do not have much of a problem with age and actually are drawn toward more mature gentlemen (for whatever reason). I have also found the organizers of the event wisely try to mix all the groups up so that everyone gets to talk to each other and then decide for themselves who they want to hang around.

Participation in this hobby is what ties attendees at this event together more than any other factor. I've enjoyed talking to gentlemen nearly 25 years my senior as well as 25 years younger at the pool party.
