Yonge called Sneakers was generally regarded as a hustler bar. There were always a number of great looking guys willing to strike a deal to go home with you. But the bar no longer exists.
My suspicion is that Craigslist and Back Page ended the run. It was easier to answer an ad than take the chance of being spotted in a notorious joint especially if one was leading a double life.
Unfortunately CL and BP don' seem to recognize a border line and follow American law shutting down their personal ads.
Will this lead to the revival of hustler bars in Toronto. Let's hope so!

I'm so curious about this side of Toronto. The last post in this thread was almost 7 and a half years ago. Any updates ? Are the same spots as before semi-reliable to spot guys working ? (Breadalbane Street or the Yonge/Grosvenor/Surrey/Grenville loop) Any new spots ?

The reference to $500 rates confused me too. I expect it refers to female escort rates, and the template for the letter may have been written with that market in mind, just guessing.
 
I'd think the version of the letter focused on men should mention $300, or maybe $350 as having been the top end from a year or so ago. Before Rentmen removed rates from their app, I'd been tracking rates and had been noticing things dropping a bit over this past year so I think the overall point still applies, just the number is wrong in this case.

Streaming video....a good computer screen...and imagination..PLUS Pornhub etc....and maybe 15 minutes saves me $$$$

I don't think providers are interchangeable widgets, so I can see how this strategy will not be a good fit for every one.

You are certainly free to charge what you feel is equitable. Of course a 33% raise in rates would likely drive some to hire less often and lead others to not hire at all. Those who are considering trying to contact an escort for the first time may find the rates a bit too much for a experimental encounter. Tips, likely will decrease in frequency and amount.
 
As for me, a tightening of the financial situations has led me to downsize my encounter number, raising the rate will likely reduce that number further.
So good luck with your plans. I am sure there are many that will join you and quite a few that will not. We will call those escorts who do not, the busy ones.

Agree. Research and referrals important but never "fail-safe". No guarantees. It's when you find the best "fit" that you repeat again and again. Relationships and genuine loyalty (not only for the sake of loyalty) to those we enjoy spending time with can't be discounted.

It used to, but not any more. It used to give me unnaturally hard boners . I liked the rock-hard boners but not the reduced sensation. If he has a Rentmen profile, you can see when he opened the account. He also might figure flattery will get him more business with you, a proven entity. Regardless, you're wise to keep track of what both your budget and time will allow (as you mentioned in your original post). Write a nice review, if warranted, and then he'll expand his clientele.
