You're going to get a slew of answers and opinions here.

Point blank: Ask the escort before you see him. Don't put him on the spot about it.

In a ideal situation where everything is legal I think we'd all want to know. The issue is that it's not how much everyone would prefer to know versus the fact that not everyone wants the legal liability of answering "Does $ cover X?" Thankfully there's ways to say it without equating sex for money as mentioned above.

This is the same reason why it becomes a problem (or even insulting) when a client tries to haggle your rate down based on what they want to do. Like “hi my hourly rate is $250” “oh but I just want to perform oral on you and you don’t have to do anything to me, can’t we make that $100?”...No, because my rate is for my time. And for legal reasons that does need to be made clear.

    My version would be:

“Hey! I saw your profile on Rentmen. I may be interested in hiring you as a companion.

Here is what I like doing: kissing with tongue, being on top...

Can you host? And how much for X hours of your time?
Based on the above, do you think we are compatible?
If yes, I am available this afternoon or tomorrow evening after 8pm.

    Thanks!"

Basically you can say you want to hire them as a companion and for a price. And you can state what you like. And you can ask if he feels you two are compatible.

You shouldn’t say things like “how much more for you to bottom?”

I'm not an escort, but I watch a fair amount of camming. It takes time to build a following of people who tune in when you cam. Some of the most successful ones I've seen chat with their viewers, telling them about their lives, what they are thinking. These men seem to have the most stable income as far as I can tell. PM me and I'll give you some links to some successful models, I would suggest watching them to see how they do and emulate what works for you.

I know this may not be your thing. I have seen some that just get on and jerk it, but but generally there are a lot of hot guys who talk, and that brings in the cash. It's (in my mind) a lot like escorting. You are there to show the client a good time, to seem to (or actually) make a connection. The viewers want that too. It's much more exciting for me when a guy talks to me or response in the chat, or even better gives me a PM.

In the past, I've never really liked them on me, so never advertised myself wearing one (but was attracted to them on other guys).
Recently, I won one here at an event in Palm Springs & tried it on...NOW, I can't stop wearing it!
    Go figure.

I think I have one pic in my rentmen ad in which I’m wearing a cockring and it’s because I’m in leather and you can barely see the cockring. With rare exceptions (cause we are all human) I don’t have issues with erections, but a cockring does give the hard as a rock, vein popping hard-on that doesn’t happen naturally.

    A very good subject.

Apart from the obvious [never flake (or if you have to, compensate), never “forget” to pay in full, shower just before (hopefully together), brush your teeth ], I can only think of a few things I try to remember doing each time:

    - Remind him he is allowed to say no or to say stop at any time (like in any relationship).
    - Tell him what you like doing, rather than give orders.
    - Bring condom, lube, poppers, viagra, just in case he has forgotten.
    - Show some interest in him: a simple “so, are you busy with other activities, these days?” can open a long conversation, but doesn’t demand one.

    Interested in what others do.

There's also something to be said for HOW you approach someone. My circumstance was done in a very loud, mishandled way.

When I first moved into my apt the blinds had not yet been installed. I had a guy over and mentioned the no blinds and that I hoped that wouldn’t be an issue. “I believe in giving back to the community” was his reply.

Unless that's what your going for, it should not be painful. That means you're using a size that's a bit too big or an object that has some abrasive parts to it. Good quality sounds in the right size are the way to go for this-- it should feel pleasurable (or if you don't like it, weird) but not painful unless you're stretching your urethra out a bit (or accidentally tearing tissue). Also, keeping stuff clean and as sterile as possible is good practice if you don't like UTIs. Generally sticking random objects in there isn't a great idea because they can have rough edges, be dirty, get caught, or migrate and possibly require help to remove.

I haven't posted an ad in a bit but I tend to list myself vers/top when I do when the option exists... though reading these responses I'm kind of rethinking that for next time.

I use it because I am versatile (the sort that will top, bottom, or happily switch it up mid session) but if I put "versatile" guys tend to assume that I'm really a bottom despite the fact I really enjoy topping. I'm sure some of it is because I'm IS/trans so it's a bit to counter the passive rather submissive bottom assumption that a lot of clients seem to have of trans guys, and less so of intersex guys for those with that level of awareness that we even exist. However, those stereotypes-- while I certainly know folks who fit them-- are not me and if that's what guys expect because so-and-so was like that or so-and-so said trans guys were like that because he dated one once, they're going to be disappointed. I probably would never ever top without explicitly mentioning that I top and since I'm actually versatile always bottoming all the time is not my thing-- much like never bottoming isn't, either.

However, the idea that it comes across as equivocal to some guys gives me some pause about listing myself as a versatile top.

I advertise as Vers Top cause I find if I put Vers then Bottom clients will assume I'm lying and really just a bttm. Which is false. Most clients that hire are bottoms. So it would be bad for business for me to let them assume that. In general there are just more gay bottoms and that translates into client world. So for me it means I'm a really good Top...so hire me bottoms...but if you are a Top...and want me to bttm...then yes...YES I do go that way as well!!! That being said markets are different. Like I've noticed Vegas has more Top Clients than Los Angeles or Orange County does. So when I go to Vegas I switch it to Vers...and leave a happy happy Guy! lol So yes I get your reaction but understand for us if we put Vers...then bottoms will never hire us and bottoms are most of our client base...well at least for me... So I'd be broke if I put that.

A client deserves to have the great experience he or she desires. IF the client feels something might prevent realization of that great experience, he/she should not hesitate to make mention of it, no matter what it is (race, weight, height, pimples on butt, missing a limb, etc...), If the scort's reply is not satisfactory, then keep looking.
