In a sense I found the end uplifting, the homage to the Mills Brothers "Till Then", and how Mindy and crew joined together for a moment of sharing in Michigan, how they had their memories of a life well lived, which can never be taken away.  For me, I needed to hear that.
Although there are oceans we must cross
And mountains that we must climb
I know every gain must have a loss
So pray that our loss is nothing but time

Till then, let's dream of what there will be
Till then, we'll call on each memory
Till then, when I will hold you again
    Please wait till then

just finished it.....lots of inside jokes and easy satire targets, sometimes too easy.....clever and sharp.....ending did get seriously sad, despite the predominantly funny tone of the production.....refreshing to see Ariana Grande's self-deprecating humorous role.....

Leo Di Caprio and Timothy Chalamet are not just eye candy here. The movie is a hoot. I laughed out loud throughout.
    Highly recommended.

A high roller bringing two strangers from a hotel bar to their room sounds especially risky.
Many men have been victimized, especially by two women, under that scenario.
I see little connection with this and escorts, though, other than taking appropriate precaution anytime one might be vulnerable.
    Escorts face risks too, right?

To me, that is a big part of what made the movie, paying homage to Lucille Ball, and taking a peek inside television history.  Loved that.

What the movie got right is Lucille Ball was nothing like Lucy Riccardo.
Lucille could be abrupt, humorless and grumpy.
When Jack Benny was a guest on one of  her shows, even he said "relax you got the job."  And Mr Benny lived next to Lucille Ball.

Finished it.  Loved how it was shot.  Loved the casting.
I agree with the CNN review, the film was satisfying.  I'd watch it again
The critics that hated it all seemed to enjoy blasting Aaron Sorkin.
What seemed clunky to me was framing the story inside of a documentary style narration told years later by some of the I Love Lucy creators, such as the comedy writer played by Linda Lavin.  To me that is a lazy way to write a screenplay, unless you're doing a mockumentary like I, Tanya.

Anyway,  the bodybuilder is probably out of the will.   He may turn a few heads in the clink.

During high school I took a city bus to my afterschool job at the downtown public library.  Downtown streets at Christmas were adorned with all sorts of lights and decorations  So beautiful.  As a kid, I loved it.
The main library was quite a place, built in the early 1900s.  The building had a two story atrium that was decked out with wonderful decorations during the holidays.  The children's section had extra copies of holiday themed books for the kids.  They always loaned out fast.
Walking between the bus stop and the library was sometimes a bit scary.  I still remember how I would encounter a few odd men along the way, mostly around some old brick transient residences, places where men ended up when "down on their luck".   I was pretty nieve, but still had sense not to make eye contact, and to maintain a brisk pace onward to the library.  A few times I was beckoned to stop but never did.
    'Got a cigarette?'
    'Nope, late for work!'
Was so long ago.  I've been on the West Coast for 25 years now, and rarely visit the old stomping grounds.
It's nice to remember old times though, isn't it?

For many years in Portland, I ran a homeless provision program and for a few years brought pre-meds in to help with the work load during the holidays and tough seasons~ It’s was provision for clothing, food, some shelter, vaccinations, pet care, hygiene products, sheets and blankets, basic foot and nail care~ Also included needle exchange program to reduce hiv/Hep C/Syphilis infections~
Not a cash paid thing… but, a “give back into the community thing”.
I still do this on my own during the holidays but, since the homeless populations tend to already have provisions then, I provide pop top canned food for their pets~ It’s a good option because they can travel with it, store it without it getting rancid or moldy~
my role in the medical field has shifted and I don’t have the same connection with pre-meds any longer~

For “extra cash” I used to shovel/plow snow, paint, fix stuff, weed/water and landscrape~ (ages 9 to current)

during college, I was a busboy at a very nice, small, family-owned hotel near the school.....this was my first job away from home and almost all of us had to work the very busy Xmas Brunch on Xmas......for the first time ever, I was not at home for Xmas and I gotta say I got a little emotional about it!.....a minute or so of mild crying and then I was back at it!......ha!!.....the happy spirit of the day and nice people around helped out.....
as the years went by and family members died off, the entire holiday thing has become less and less important to me.....
