1. I am all for sharing. That's pretty common for us working stiffs, our willingness to help out. I give generous tips at restaurants and always comment to my friends how these people need the money, in an encouraging way. That said , I rarely give to panhandlers. I never give when pumping gas. I won't do it. I don't give at the off ramp. In general I don't like to get my wallet out around a stranger. I don't like the nonprofits that hang outside the grocery store, e.g. DARE, and so on. I agree with the earlier comment. I give $$ to buskers.
2. He is also well equipped to play the part and always ready. Leads me to wonder how a director makes sure he had all the right stuff to …………. perform?
3. I liked everything except being shorted on time. Not that he's the only one that does that. However, I like a massage that goes the full time.
4. He did a Q&A at Outfest when Tab Hunter Confidential screened. Handsome man.
5. Would be fun to play this movie with a group. Novello and his Hollywood friend are both gay and Ryan Phillipe plays the friend's paid companion. I became interested in Novello because of this movie and learned that he was gay. When he passed, his partner had to remain in the background during the formalities. Can you imagine that? His Land of Might-Have-Been sadly became even more apropos. I understand that Ivor Novello is quite a big deal in the UK to this day. He wrote so many famous songs. Altman gained a lot of cred with me for his comments about Novello being gay and how that circumstance of life is reflected in the closing reprise of his song.
6. Legit. Therapeutic. He's a go to guy for my therapeutic needs. Good skills. Nice set up. I like him.
7. Hope you got that sorted. England meets Croatia in the semi. Who would have guessed? Will it be France/England in the final. I'd love it. The Russian that tied it today with a header had a heartbreaking miss in the shootout. Croatia goes on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9Ua4f3xd_g Telemundo says it best of course.
8. I did this. My doggie and I retreated to the tub to cool off with a soak. We do not have AC and normally don't need it.
9. I agree. One can reign in their comments and still get their point across. There have been hateful comments about masseurs, and usually the poster is called out on that.
10. The feeling when hearing the friend you fancy is getting married.
11. I've watched many times as well, including with commentary by Altman.
12. Has there ever been a cast like the cast in Gosford Park? Yet it was Maggie Smith that was there to punctuate the beginning and end of the film. Altman knew what he was doing.
13. I had a masseur kiss me once. One of those things where he was feeling it (I wasn't). Happened so fast I almost missed it. Not as intrusive as the tongue invasion explained above. I didn't feel violated at all.
14. Reminds me of a realtor I worked with when I bought my house that came up with a brilliant idea how I would buy a 2nd home, a vacation home in Florida where he and I could run it as an Airbnb. He could live there and manage things locally. He had already moved down there, so it would be perfect! He would not give up, repeatedly asking me to send a check, make an offer. 'Let's just see what happens.' It just got to be nuts, how he couldn't accept my lack of interest. He was not hearing any of my reasonable explanations why he needed to drop the idea, continually trying to convince me to make an offer, over and over. He seemed irrational, but I get it. That's how some people are. I still felt weird about him though and eventually put him on ignore.
15. Transitional spaces? I could learn to enjoy living there.
16. If they can make me purr like a tomcat, I'm in.
17. Only gay men and Mike Pence have such tidy hair.
18. Yes, I do! I used to travel a lot and didn't think too much about it. Now I hate it and do as little as possible.
19. I'm wondering when a post becomes a review. I'm thinking to myself, "Does it have to do with length? Too much detail? An obvious agenda?" Then I wondered if the rule applies just to a massage therapist post, or does the rule apply to movies, TV, etc. I'll search the threads. Maybe it's discussed there.

IMO, framing your opinion with important details including when the massage occurred helps keep things balanced.
21. I took Shakespeare in high school. I went to an inner city public school and was fortunate to have a teacher that offered advanced English Lit. Studied Hamlet Macbeth Merchant of Venice Romeo and Juliet I'm still glad I did. I love Shakespeare to this day.
22. I created a training module for my Org that included a slide on Descartes and his contribution to western philosophy and mathematics, including algebra. I took algebra, trig, calc, differential equations and so on to become an engineer. I can understand why many don't see a need for that education track. For many folks, an education doesn't seem to help at all, yet society encourages to at least give it a try.
