  1. I would ask to hop off the table and head to the restroom. In fact I've done that a couple times just to take a piss. I've never had a session interrupted by it. Who wants this invading your serenity.
  2. She was a gift.
  3. Each of us in my group climbed to the top of a telephone pole. Stood up on top of it. Then jumped off and caught a trapeze. Was a team building thing. There was a harness and net. We were told it was safe. Telephone poles are effing high up there, let me tell you!
  4. The company members were so nice, and very cute! I still have the program which explains the phrase Holding the Man in very poignant terms. Was certainly a sad play, but a good one. The program ad for AussieBum was nicely done. Perhaps I'll see what they currently offer online.
  5. I read a letter from Alexander Hamilton to John Laurens (covered within a YouTube video on another thread) where Hamilton jokes about his size. So one might consider (at least I did) that men's concern over their penis size goes all the way back to our founding fathers.
  6. I've bought clothes on line from THAT one. They supported the Australian company performing Holding the Man at a theater in LA so I decided to support them. Nice, comfortable T shirts and sweatpants, and good quality. I used to buy clothes at Bloomingdales. They had nice men's clothes. But the one near me closed. We have a Costco that offers a selection of men's clothes. Now and then I see something I like. Their jeans are OK. I have some J Peterman clothes, on line, mostly for fun, like the Irish pub shirt I had to have after reading James O'Neill's At Swim, Two Boys. Also one of their Gatsby shirts. The prices are pretty steep, so try for their sales. Lands End has really comfy men's underwear. I like their jeans. Most of my shirts for work are Lands End. I wait for sales with them.
  7. I just finished watching Fox and His Friends. One thing I noticed was how an important segment was quite similar to a scene in My Own Private Idaho, so much so that it seemed Gus Van Zant had paid homage to Fassbinder, or perhaps at least borrowed the idea of that fateful scene. I bought the Criterion Collection disc and will watch it again before deciding what I think of it. The extras are worthy.
  8. You're questioning GayStarNews? a piece written by their editor in chief? ^ He does look a little bit young to understand pop music history. At least the article didn't make us click 60 times like most of these horrid lists. Mercy!
  9. I love Gosford Park!
  10. I'm gathering so many great ideas from this thread. When in Palm Springs, the Chinese buffet (Emperor Buffet) out in Rancho Mirage is an awesome choice to avoid killing off your entertainment budget. Remember to leave a nice tip folks. The hoi polloi need to make a living too. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ohuJa0LUTaE/T4bLDj_K6WI/AAAAAAAAETg/W2xoomPUzHk/s1600/CheapBastard_BarrellGuy.jpg
  11. Theater tickets, dinner and parking in LA blow threw $300. One can find more economical choices of course such as art museums/galleries.
  12. At the Whale and Ale in San Pedro, I've had Shepherd's Pie, Cheese rarebit and sticky toffee pudding. Their menu evolves over time. Funky part of LA. Fun without being overrun by crowds.
  13. Vanguard was historically the place to go for low expense index funds. I'm thinking about moving all my qualified investments there when the day comes to retire. Perhaps Fidelity is trying to catch some of that portion of the market touting their low expense funds. For now, over half of my qualified $$ is administered by Fidelity, like many company plans are. Also, active trading of retirement funds was always discouraged in my world, that the people ending with the greater return over the years are the ones that let their money sit, not attempting to time the market, or move in and out of securities. So that is pretty much what I'm doing. For non-retirement $$, one never makes a profit unless you sell at some point, which I have done, dollar cost averaging out of the market in order to pay down the mortgage.
  14. Wasn't he the bastard son? Guess he couldn't catch a break.
  15. Call Me by Your Name is now on Starz.
  16. New boy in the neighborhood Lives downstairs and it's understood. He's there just to take good care of me, Like he's one of the family. Charles in Charge Of our days and our nights Charles in Charge Of our wrongs and our rights And I sing, I want, I want Charles in Charge of me.
  17. Kudos for all those things you are doing right for yourself each day.
  18. Then remembering will have to do.....
  19. When you are done perusing all of the posts on m4m-forum.org, where do you surf to, and specifically which gay sites? Today I discovered Hornet.com, which seems to be a gay men's social network and entertainment site. Made me wonder what other Websites are out there that I'm missing. I'm aware of a few on-line gay magazines, Towleroad.com, HuffPost queer voices, Queerty.com, AfterEllen, and Out Sports. What other gay Websites do you enjoy and recommend for news, entertainment, etc.?

  21. The cast looks awesome. I expect it will be great.
  22. The scary things I'd heard about meth over the years convinced me to avoid users. I recently saw a well known gay singer/song writer perform. During the middle of his show he recommended avoiding meth, based on his troubled, prolonged use. "It will kick your ass," he said.
  23. What if they moved the Rocky Mountains to Wisconsin!!??
  24. It wasn't until I moved to California that I realized how much I missed by not heading to Chicago for entertainment when it was relatively close. Theater & Chicago Symphony Orchestra, for example.
