It's a series but the best acting I've seen was in about half the episodes of Succession. Of course Jeremy Strong is amazing psychologically as a mental odyssey but the characters who play Shiv and Roman also are amazing along with a dozen others. But the peaks make other episodes seem blah. I sure hope Kendall gets out of the pool tomorrow !!! America's on pins and needles over this. 😨 In actual movies, the acting by the main characters in Power of the Dog is amazing, more so for the wife, the son and the brother I think, but Phil (Cumberbatch) is definitely complex. Personally I think Nicholas Cage in Pig is under-rated as is Jake Gyllenhaal in The Guilty. I actually liked Jake a little better than the also-great Danish original and I think the racial troubles last year caused The Guilty to be ignored. Cumberbatch is outstanding in The Courier OTOH I'm not sure how Will Smith's "acting" or the story in King Richard is remotely competitive. I'll see how the new Macbeth is reviewed before i venture into it but I'm skeptical. I plan to enjoy Belfast when it's not $20 but don't expect to be awed. For a happy holiday-ish movie this year I really like The Electrical Life of Louis Wain. Great warm true story. Cumberbatch has 4 hits this year. After Nine Perfect Stangers I've got Nicole Kidman overload though and may just skip The Ricardos thing until I can forget the 9 Strangers "acting".

more bad news on the rapid tests today. I will say DC has free test kits at every public library somehow that have to be returned to a box at the library for testing. WaPo: Rapid coronavirus tests are still hard to find in many places, despite Biden’s pledges President Biden announced last week that rapid coronavirus tests were a pillar of his plan to fight the new and potentially more transmissible omicron variant, now confirmed in at least 21 states. But nearly a year into his administration, the availability of low-cost coronavirus tests that return results in as little as 15 minutes remains an oft-promised but still unrealized capability in large swaths of the country — a far cry from the situation in countries such as Britain and Singapore, where the government purchased the kits in the spring and distributed millions of them free or at low cost. Many people in the United States cannot find the tests online or at retail stores because the kits are often out of stock — and when they do see them, consumers may be unable to buy them in quantity because of the cost, typically about $25 for a packet of two. That makes it impractical to urge all Americans to incorporate the tests into their daily routines — especially before going to work, traveling or gathering indoors with family members and friends — to avoid spreading the virus unintentionally, as many health experts now advise. Be careful about the days/hours of your test site also. I had found one at Heathrow going in but then found they were closed on Sunday, my intended arrival day, and sites in the city were hard to find. It's really a clusterfuck (as we Americans say).
-
ha! coming from Australia you'd have a pretty narrow boarding window for a 24-hour test.
-
Good luck with timely in-person tests. They're harder to find than they should be and expensive.

Some of the Twitter previews are pretty long and XXX sex. The "free" OF's are pretty easy for the guys to run in addition to their paid ones since it's just a couple pics and almost daily offers of a sex vid for $20+. It's really gotten to where the paid OF's are also daily offers of $20 vids with fewer and fewer free sex vids.

I thought it would be helpful to get as many recommendations as possible for the test to come back into the US. This is the first article I've seen. (Note the Binax test mentioned is not the one sold in drugstores which does not qualify).

It opens December 17.

An enjoyable watch on a cold night. Just opened in theaters friday to high reviews but no one mentions it's free on Hulu. top 97%/84% reviews on RT https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/pig_2021

For years there was a gay strip club on the side street behind Larry Flynts Hustler.

I thought it was a little long with some gratuitous (not sex) scenes. But it's strictly a psychological movie, not a story, and I guess that requires some less-than-action-filled scenes. I found it amazing in that most people probably don't realize until after it's over that the assumptions in the movie were reversed. And what I'm seeing most of in comments online is "Did Peter kill his real father?".

Medellin trip: entry and reentry requirements
+ tassojunior replied to Doe Be Doe's topic in The Travel Desk
Antigen and anti-body tests are also different and one is accepted one isn't. PCR's are always accepted but take a long time. Here's a good summary/help list. Finding those tests overseas to take before your flight home is a PITA. You would think they'd be everywhere and hotels, airlines, airports, the gov't etc would help.....Nope. To fly from Toronto to Buffalo 1 hour you must be vaccinated, take a test a day before, wear N-95 masks, and not take them off at all. To fly from the most-infected place on the east coast of the US to the least infected place on the west coast for 5 hours packed like sardines, you do not need to be vaccinated, you do not need to take a test, you only need a flimsy mask which you don't need to wear while eating or drinking, and there's not even contact tracing. 'Queer Films Could Sweep Awards as ‘The Power of the Dog’ and ‘Flee’ Gain Momentum As with Dune, I think it's good to bone up just a little before watching (like the meaning of the title and on anthrax) and be on alert for very subtle plot changers. (You'll still miss 1 or 2 main points). All the characters are 100% perfectly done. Amazing movie and everyone is taking their own evaluation in the press. All excellent. After Brokeback Mountain was snubbed many years ago for that awful "Crash", gay plots and subplots are doing well now.

Most overrated/underrated tourist attraction
+ tassojunior replied to BSR's topic in The Travel Desk
Most underrated: The Gold Museum , Bogota. Hundreds of Pre-Columbian pieces of jewelry and artifacts, most in solid gold and displayed perfectly. -
I assume this is the back entrance bar at the Gold Club? Off and on it's been male strippers for many years and some incredibly hot ones. RIP Atlantis. Sad day when it turned straight. I remember one dancer would park his camper outside for privates lol.

Medicare question, supplemental vs. advantage?
+ tassojunior replied to MikeBiDude's topic in Men's Health
While working I was in the GWU HMO and upon retirement and Medicare went into the Kaiser Advantage HMO. So I've been in "managed care" all my adult life. Because of the worker shortage Kaiser is on hard times staff-wise right now but I'm not sure that doesn't also affect "private" MD's, maybe more. There are changes to prescription etc benefits in the proposed BBB bill that may make a difference between plans but they're not set to start for a few years, if passed. The upside to Advantage is the freebies like most drugs, gym memberships, hearing aids, glasses, and some dental. Also worldwide coverage so no need to buy travel insurance. The downside is extreme exposure to clerical/nurse understaffing; ie 1 of 2 prep nurses leave and an 8-doctor team is crippled. Also since specialists are very shared, any shortage ripples down into long waits for appointments. But I think private MD's have the same problems now. -
from what I hear from several 1st-rate escort friends, business is so slow they very much appreciate a new client.

Funny as Americans have gotten bigger (waist-wise) how economy seats have gotten smaller. (or not funny if you're the fat guy trying to squeeze in.)
-
amazingly to many of our physically bright guys, the natural instinct when covid cuts your clients in half is to charge 2x as much to the remaining clients to make up the difference, pushing demand to zero. the shortage is mostly clients, not providers.

I think it's always best to book awards since they are almost never in basic and easily refundable. Otherwise if you pay $ and have a checked bag the game is to get your attention but have you upgrade to Main. I booked a Delta promo 32K WAS to BCN for 32K RT. Delta advertises that route for $600 but that is for Basic. Main is more like $750. Delta also has Premium Select 90K RT many US cities to many European cities. Tempting. Their PS is A+. Also, TAP is really making a move on US markets to Europe with new cheap nonstops from many cities.

that kitten is so fucked for life now
-
Check out all the new fares from TAP to Europe with free stopovers in Lisbon. Mostly $349 RT steerage and very cheap but very nice Biz.

amateurs who try for outlandish rates get much less (or zero) pros know to find a motel room with a revolving door or at least an entrance and an exit at whatever the highest bid is for next one up.

Actually wasn't any judgement but an IRS audit that showed the club didn't pay over any withheld taxes or pay any employment taxes for years and did not pay any salary under state law. I was surprised they didn't seize the club and property. But it's been several years and Uncle Sam doesn't wait forever. I hope Matt's covered for that issue in FTL as employment taxes are tough and strippers can be complainers. https://images.law.com/contrib/content/uploads/documents/404/13912/Casey-v.-Swinging-Richards-complaint-NDGa.pdf
