  1. Obviously the N95's are "safer" and why extreme conditions require them by law and many surgeons actually use them, not "surgical" masks. My dentists use them also. They are expensive and a PITA to put on with the two loops over the back of your head, not ears, and hard to breathe in. I think most international airlines accept KN-95 masks which are the Chinese "equivalent" but have ear loops and are cone-shaped instead of round (and fold flat). I can't seem to breathe in the N-95's much but the KN-95's are fine. The only problem is a lot of KN-95's have slots of holes which make them compromised. I put tape over the holes inside. They're comfortable (and easier on the wallet too). With Delta 100x more contagious and the new variant 1000x more contagious, I'm not sure how protective cheap masks are anymore for catching or spreading. Fauci's advice 2 years ago that masks do nothing to protect may finally be coming true.
  2. Neighborhood got too expensive.
  3. And now it's settled in a democratic way and has virtually unanimous support for a democratic decision. I think about the same margin would back similar covid laws in most countries. Unfortunately in countries like ours, 38% is too high a % to offend and most of them feel they are in the majority unless clearly shown otherwise. So we still let unvaccinated people fly and don't require vaccine cards for most things.
  4. While Austria is mandating vaccines for all, next-door Switzerland is voting tomorrow (Sunday) in a nation-wide referendum on whether to do away with vaccine and lockdown requirements. It should be a fair view of how the people feel. If a new variant is resistant to the present covid vaccines and also doesn't help prevent serious cases, then vaccines are still going to be required as virtue signaling (ie: to show you're not a Republican), as flimsy masks are now. 10% of the 600 passengers from two planes in Amsterdam tested positive last night even though I assume most were vaccinated. Hopefully the vaccines are still effective at preventing serious cases, like they are with Delta.
  5. Unfortunately obesity is the #1 mortality factor for covid. Should people who don't lose weight to prevent covid death be excluded from hospitals too?
  6. Not sure if I've mentioned but Delta now has US to Barcelona for 32K miles roundtrip from now until late March. Also London but there's a $220 fee and tests there. Main Coach, not Basic Economy, with checked bag, seat, and changes, etc. For the next several months Avianca and most airlines also have $200 roundtrips to Bogota from most of the US. That covers about half the world's "masseur" saunas (Brazil has the other half). Delta also has most of the US, including HI to most of Europe the next few months for 90K RT in their snazzy Premium Select cabin.
  7. Bingo. But since hybrids like mine have been around for many years (also like mine) with no big added expense for the drive battery, I doubt the battery tech is the stall or expense. Once a factory is up and running the 1-millionth or 2 millionth just marginally cost the raw materials, electricity used and labor (and labor's mostly robots now anyway).
  8. Internal combustion engines and drivetrains are much more complex than electrics and so the cost of electrics should start down. Also, the simplicity will bring more competitors. I think Telsa assumes they will stay more expensive and I can't imagine that for long. The Chinese are already making $5000 electrics and all the European companies are going all-electric. The new Infrastructure bill has huge subsidies for Big 3- US unionized companies' electrics (ie: not Tesla). Personally I don't care if a car runs on cow piss, I'm more interested in Auto-Pilot asap.
  9. We overconcentrate on a few OF guys who do extremely well. That also leads everyone and their brother to try and get rich on OF and RM escorts try to supplement with OF. Very few make much on OF. Even obsessive subscribers drop off quick. And now that the deal is to charge $20 to watch amateurish and repetitive short videos they're running into the same internet free re-posting that took the porn industry down. I would imagine there are many more escorts/masseurs than OF guys with a reasonable following. But even if there are more OF biggies, when you count all the strippers, unadvertised escorts, etc I'm pretty sure the OF guys who make a living off it are a small % of guys in the trade. Also, there are some OK looking guys with sexiness on OF who are not sexy in person and vice-versa. And the fact there are so few OF guys in hot escort markets like LA, NY and DC and so very many in poor markets like Columbia makes the marginal profit point pretty clear. 99% of guys who can do 1 or 2 easy in-calls a day at say $300, make more than 99% of OF guys.
  10. Not really. I have some apts. I rent and depend on them for $1 liquid plumber, windex, disinfectant sprays, cleaning supplies, paint brushes, drop cloths, gallons of bleach, etc etc but usually pick up some neat things too. The general feel in the store is everything is so cheap it seems free. DollarTree is WalMart's big competitor in household goods and WalMart, before pandemic, marketed identical items for 88 cents (now $1.28). DollarTree often locates next to WalMarts. The big beneficiary of this price hike will be WalMart. Janet Yellen needs to figure this DollarTree emergency out. Hitting low-income voters up with a 25% price hike in their daily lives is bad politics.
  11. Nope, that's Dollar General, everything at DollarTree is $1 and has been for 30 years. This is huge.
  12. Liddle Petie Buttwhatever stepped up yesterday and said the US will not have vaccine requirements for airplane travel (or buses or trains). "We're doing fine".
  13. The sex previews are on twitter, not OnlyFans. Odd but true.
  14. probably with a lot of clients' deposits
  15. we need to be demanding SD cars ASAP...millions of lives saved, pollution and gas usage greatly diminished, and a new lease on life for elderly people.
  16. WalMart will give a full refund on those that catch fire (or absolutely free replacement).
  17. Is Canada allowing Chinese eCars in? They have some as cheap as $5000 and some that charge in 15 minutes or on a home extension cord.
  18. It's 2021. A guy may be "straight" because his husband had a sex change or just identifies as female. If we can identify our own gender we can certainly identify our orientation.
  19. Pavel's very real...he's Steve Skarsgard on Bel Ami and Romeo/Hunqz. Several of us here, like @liubit , are good friends of his. Super nice 23 yr old, lives in Prague and travels northwest Europe.
  20. Indeed, it's was a long stretch without human touch and, in my opinion, too much substitution of just porn and OnlyFans. Socialization is important. Certainly when the lockdown eased and clients had saved-up cash there was a "hiring surge" but what I'm hearing from friends is it's now substantially below normal, even where covid is low. I have a number of Euro friends who ask about coming over because the market is down in Europe but I don't know what to tell them. I do know it's unusually slow in DC right now and in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Atlanta. I've always advised NY/DC/LA but now not so sure even of that. I'd hate for Pavel to come over and no one want to see him.
  21. I meant when the hard lockdown came off after the decline and guys started hiring like crazy and rates soared. I think most people with vaccines are still willing to hire but from what I hear clients are getting scarce. The market has swung like......
  22. The Electrical Life of Lewis Wane, free on Prime, is a terrific good-feel holiday movie. It's also a nice Cumberbatch balance to the Oscar-nominated sadistic gay cowboy he plays starting Dec 1 on Netflix.
  23. We were surprised when the lockdown came off and there was a sudden huge spike in rates in the spring but all my escort/masseur friends are telling me the demand is very slow now, In the US and Europe. Did we already spend all that money we saved up during the worst of the pandemic? Will good-looking guys start showing up working at McDonalds?
  24. #3 certainly looks like a photo in jail.
  25. I've found a 5 "positive" review with warning in the actual wording is more likely to stay on RM.
