In English English do they say "money is" or "money are"......I assume "money are" even though money could be one coin or bill and Americans consider it a singular. It's so hard going from American English to English English with mass nouns with a collective sense using the verb of the plural...the team are...the university are...the city are, etc. So is it now "Money are the root of all evil? (My grammary keeps insisting I change it to is). Reading an English paper produces shock in Americans and it's hard for many of us not to sound like provincials when there. And my American Grammarly doesn't help.

There was a major Democratic Congressional candidate in California last primary who won a couple hundred million in the state lottery a few years ago and he and his wife had set up a foundation with over half to give away to charities, just like Bill Gates has challenged billionaires to give away half their money and some have. They can't find anything in Old Town or Vinohardy. There are two grocery stores there, one the Marks and Spencer grocery and cafe. The best hotel there by far is the Radisson Blu Alcorn. Super 5 Star hotel. Usually it's up around $300 but recently it's been showing up for $130. If you have Radisson status their suites are amazing. I also stayed at the Jalta. Listed as 5 star, it's really 4 star. But it's balcony rooms on the front are stunning. High ones see the Castle. And the ones on 7th floor have huge balconies. Mine in 701 had a 12x12 foot balcony. The sidewalk cafe on the 1st floor, Como, is terrific. I've seen it as l0w as $99 on Priceline and as high as $250. The Ambassador is a big old hotel that comes cheap a lot. It's certainly not really 5 star. The Occidental is nice. The Rokoko can be nice. It has a tiny entrance and hookers are sometimes around it (female). The Ramada is ok. HotelsTonight has the best deals often while Priceline gets the best on the Jalta and TripAdvisor on the Radisson. Staying on Wens. Sq. makes your trip a lot easier and you get more dates more easily.
