  1. If your looking to the NYTimes to escape a “liberal echo chamber”, I’d suggest you keep looking. In the last 5-10 years, I’d say it’s become exactly that. Any outside or opposing view points are aggressively suppressed and/or attacked. It’s a shame, it was once a great and balanced newspaper that I greatly respected.
  2. I am also sad to hear this. Although I never met him, my impression of him here was that he was one of the “good“ ones. RIP
  3. In the early UFC days I would watch with my boyfriend in bed. It used to freak him out that I would get hard watching the match. Guess there‘s a reason he’s my “ex-“ boyfriend....grin
  4. Truvada is cheaper, has almost a decade of use in PreP, has a statistical increase in bone loss in patients taking it. In one study all the fractures occurred in men without bone loss, so it doesn’t seem to be clinically relevant. Descovy is more expensive, very little long term research, causes more weight gain and increases cholesterol, both of which are generally considered bad for your heart. So hips, heart, wallet,.....pick your poison. I’d pick Truvada and avoid the shinny new apple.
  5. I agree. I‘m not really into straight guys but he was better than 90% of the gay men I’ve hired.
  6. It’s a fun toy, but 95% of the things it does you can do better with other, cheaper, standard cookware. When I see people using it to fry bacon, or boil an egg I just about die laughing at them.
  7. 5K? In Kansas? During a pandemic?
  8. Too many fish in the sea....just move on.
  9. Holy fuck....I’m in love!
  10. He was the ultimate James Bond, but to this child of the 80’s he will always be Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez. “From the dawn of time we came; moving silently down through the centuries, living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of the Gathering; when the few who remain will battle to the last. No one has ever known we were among you... until now.” Rest in peace
  11. They age.....poorly.
  12. I’d never be able to get past the Judy Garland poster.
  13. Never had anyone complain about a wad of Benjamins.
  14. Condoms never bothered me. I can barely tell the difference. My little head thinks he can tell. My big head knows he can’t.
  15. Jesus are we really that puritanical? Everyone masterbates and I’m pretty sure everyone on that Zoom call has seen a penis before. It was a dumb mistake. Cut the guy some slack.
  16. Morning wood? Daily. Wet dream? Only twice in my life. My first year in college when I had a roommate and didn’t beat off for 6 months. And again at 32 when I ended an serious relationship and didn’t get off for 6 months.
  17. Stop the Lipitor.
  18. Plan an extended visit first. Even before COVID, nothing in SF could compare to NYC. And I can’t imagine it’s gotten any better in the middle of a pandemic.
  19. I saw a friends gorgeous living room featured prominently in an escort’s ad. I was close to this friend and I tried in a very non-judgmental way to bring it up and suggested that he might want to ask the escort to remove the picture from his ad. Unfortunaly my friend got VERY defensive about it. It didn’t end pretty. I said something like “look dude I don’t give a fuck about the xxxx your living room, but I thought you might not like everyone in town knowing your business”. We are no longer close. Lesson learned. In the future, I will keep my mouth shut.
  20. I see the boooooooring.....but where are the “beautiful men”.
  21. Ahhhhh, 1983.....when NYC was fun and artists had real talent. Although 1986 is my preferred vintage of NYC, I’ll happily drink anything from the 80’s.
  22. It’s mildly interesting. Not great cinematography, but not bad. The story seemed a bit forced. Man finds octopus and plays with it for a year.
  23. $400 in NYC right now is ridiculous.
