There is also a scam going around on insta/gridr/scruff about massage- shows a very handsome guy, reasonable rates, very chatty- but then asks for a PayPal deposit to reserve a time.  It felt wrong so I never did the deposit, but when one guy was 2 blocks away I said I would walk over now with cash and he said no.  within a week ad was gone and popped up again with a new guy.

Why should this present a problem?  If I have enough stamps on my card for a free massage, i don't have to pay the spa for the massage allowing more $$$ towards my tip.  The spa should still give the masseur his 1/3 of the spa price since it is the spa's promotion.  I'd give the masseur a bigger tip if he takes care of me either way.

Long story short, he gave a decent massage. It started off therapeutic but it was mainly and very sensual/erotic.

I would say he's hung. Let's just say, if he stepped into a bathhouse sauna and dropped his towel, most of the guys seated would instantly fall to their knees.

The discount is only for the business. The masseur gets the same amount. I know this to be a fact. 

Stamp cards offer an avenue to encourage loyalty and repeat business. Most that I have encountered at spas offer a free 30 min massage, which I'm assuming is usually used by most people during a 60 or 90 min massage. The spa is still getting some money from the massage and the customer feels like they are getting something as a thanks for their continued business. I use mine to get a 90 min massage (i.e. pay for 60 min) and I tip based on the 90 min rate. Maybe I'm naive but I assume that the masseur is being paid the same from the spa for the massage and it's the spa that's taking the hit on the discount. 🤷‍♂️
And frankly, if you don't want to use it because you perceive that your masseur is being cheated out of their pay, then don't use the card! It's pretty simple.
