I'm in your age category so can relate. Once he squirted the oil all over the family jewels, I would have expected some caressing and massage on those parts. When he didn't go there, I would have said something for sure. It did seem as if he wanted you to take the lead by either letting him know to proceed or put his hand there. I had a similar experience with a private masseur one time. I had been to him a couple of times previously so knew what to expect. After turning over, he briefly massaged the front and then said "we're done"! So I got up, proceeded to get dressed and when I was paying him, I expressed my disappointment without the happy ending. His response was "you weren't hard this time so thought you were not interested". Couldn't he have asked me? Needless to say, that did it for me and I've never returned.

Why should this present a problem? If I have enough stamps on my card for a free massage, i don't have to pay the spa for the massage allowing more $$$ towards my tip. The spa should still give the masseur his 1/3 of the spa price since it is the spa's promotion. I'd give the masseur a bigger tip if he takes care of me either way.

Pressure was on the lighter side but he had a pleasant personality and seemed fairly focused on the massage and engaged throughout. Probably wouldn’t repeat as the pressure was too light for me but I can see it working for other people.
