You're lucky. Mine always flips over to Rogers when I am in Niagara Falls. I have Verizon.

Weird since I also have Verizon. Last April, I was staying in a B&B across the street from the Niagara River and it still worked. It doesn't really matter since I have a plan that gives me free data and calls in Canada.

Once in Tijuana I went right up to the border fence and held my cellphone facing the US, thinking surely I would get a signal. I didn't. I was amazed they could control it down to the inch!

Maybe it doesn't work in Mexico, but it definitely does in Canada. Whenever I am on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, my cell phone isn't roaming.

My experiences with Turo precovid we’re always very happy ones: clean reliable cars and easy pick up/drop off~ Never used it in P Springs but, LA, Phoenix, TX and the midwest

I love Turo. Cars are typically cheaper than with traditional rental agencies especially for the more swanky cars. One time my family and I had to travel to San Diego. It was actually cheaper to fly to LA, rent a car on Turo and drive down even considering we rented a Tesla.

  4. I have info on Gabriel and the travel issue that I am willing to share via dm if anyone is interested. As I have posted elsewhere, he was the person I saw for my birthday in London back in the summer.

There was to be a 100 Year's Young - A Birthday Celebration on January 17 in theaters.  I suppose it will now be a Life Celebration instead.  She was one hell of a broad.  Sad for her passing but happy for her long well lived life.

I have tickets to this. Guess I will be crying and laughing now.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I have communicated with a prolific provider who stated nothing about not welcoming Asian clients in his ad. When I contacted him we conversed for a bit and he asked about what I looked like because he wanted to make sure he’d recognize the correct person who’d show up at his door. Once I described myself he simply said I’d have a better time with someone else. it wasn’t rude, but it did not make me feel good. I blamed myself for reaching out to him, for not knowing my place and asking for the impossible. This was before I started researching about providers and it turned out that his preference was quite well known.

This has happened to me more than a few times with different providers.

Some providers do so well that they don’t welcome all types of clients and although it does pose a question about professionalism as @Jamie21 eloquently said, I respect their discretion. I just hope that they are honest and straightforward about it upfront in their ad so nobody has to waste their time. I understand that having stuff like that on an ad is bad for business, but if they’re going to have a preference they need to accept the caveats.

Personally, if I were confident about my appearance and did not mind rejection after communicating with someone, I would have stayed on hookup apps and not considered hiring someone to make me feel special.

This is one of the reasons it's even hard for me to make a first contact with someone I have not hired. Fear is so debilitating.

The judgement has its own agenda… and again, says more about the person judging~
Stigma and stereotyping may intrinsically be accompanied by the judgement~

Stigma and stereotyping are both powerful tools but, also prone to gross inaccuracies~
Judgement can save you or be its own enemy~
Sometimes it helps protect you from a bad situation… Other times it is it’s own bad situation and create something bad. I think that it’s easy to generalize about things here but, what is really core and essential to the point are these two questions: What is the intention of asking~? What is the result of answering~?

This is very true. I was speaking to judgement only in the context of initial reactions to bits of personal information or appearance. My family owns a business and we try very hard not to judge anyone who walks through the door whether they be customers or potential employees, etc. It is very rare we make any conclusions regarding customers except for those who have visited enough that we feel we know them. For potential employees, we based our hiring decisions solely on the answers to our questions and the demeanor they show throughout the interview. We haven't been perfect, but we do try our best.

I say all of this knowing that most escorts probably don't know what things a client may be dealing with unless they are informed of them. I am happy to say that so far no hire has made me feel less than after I have informed them of certain aspects of who I am.

Yeah right.  Like you geniuses have been right....WRONG.    This is supposed to have been over by now.  It's getting worse with more new cases even with 70%-90% of populations vaxxed.

In no state are there 70-90% of people vaccinated. Best there is is low 70s and it has been clear for a long while that the Delta variant was going to make number of vaccinated people to be on the high side of that range to achieve the type of immunity to end the pandemic. Furthermore, no expert has ever said the pandemic is "over now" at any point since it began. The pandemic only ends when much of the world is seeing daily new cases near to a typical flu season. The prefix pan refers to the world in its entirety.

Yes.  I’ve done a few “vacations” with escorts over the years, and $2,500 for the week is the most I’ve spent.  If you ask around, you’ll find ones that will do that rate.

I'm sure you are right but I cannot imagine anyone charging $200-300 an hour asking for less than $1000 a day for a weeklong sojourn with a client. If you want to pm the names of the guys who gave you these deals, I'd be all ears.

I would add that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a prostitute. As long as it’s done without coercion, with compassion and lawfully then I don’t think the prejudice that is loaded with the word is fair on the job. I prefer to use the term sex worker which is broader and seems to have less ‘baggage’. I describe myself as sex worker. It really involves skills in working with people and understanding their sexual and intimacy needs. There’s nothing wrong with that. I’d say society would be a lot better if everyone had a better understanding of their needs and desires around sex.

One of the things I wish is more sex workers would understand is they are public facing service providers. It is as you say there are many people out there who are looking for help and guidance to deal with sex and intimacy issues and see sex workers as a way of navigating through those issues with a modicum of privacy and, hopefully, free from judgement. There are lots of people out there who, for whatever reason, have trouble finding intimacy for "free" and thus look to professionals hoping they won't be judged for whatever issues they may have. It's bad enough dealing with the emotional stress from people judging you in society; it is a whole nother level when money is involved and you get the same response.

My thought exactly!  I’ve found over my years of hiring that there is absolutely no correlation between price and encounter.

I recently went on a week-long trip out of the country with an escort that only charged me $2,500 for the week.  Can’t complain whatsoever.

$2,500 for the week? I wish the guy I spent a week with charged me that. The session was very well worth what I paid, but I could have done another one if he had charged me only $2,500

I like it when providers use hotels just outside of downtown that are a short walk from mass transit. Especially if the hotel offers ample free parking. In Boston this includes places like Newton and Somerville. I suppose it’s less practical in larger cities like NYC

Considering downtown in NY is specific area of the city, it is a bit different. Some people would consider anything in Manhattan south of Central Park to be the "downtown." There are some nice inexpensive hotels in Brooklyn that are within a 30 minute subway ride from Midtown.

  13. I have only used Uber. Mostly good rides. The one major problem I had was trying to get one in London from the airport to the flat where I was staying. The flight landed late and I was almost the last person out of the airport at around 9:30 at night. I tried 3 times to get an Uber to come to a nearly empty airport and no one picked up. Had to go to the next more expensive choice to get someone to pick me up. Wasn't thrilled about that. I will probably add Lyft to my phone incase it happens again.
