Just yesterday i saw rates in the body of two profiles on RM. Both had been recently visited by the escort either in December or January. Maybe just being missed by Administrators i suppose.

It's obviously not right for everyone, but I actually have two regular buddies (both Straight) who proactively want to hang out at my place whether we are on a time clock or not. And in one case i have to insist on paying for dinner and drinks and stop him from bringing food and drink over and he generally refuses any financial compensation (despite my attempts to help out) because he enjoys hanging out so much and sees it as a break from his typical work.

I could be totally wrong but i thought ( when they made changes due to new legislation) that the rate for time could be mentioned in the body of the text of the individual profiles but not how it used to be whereby the site prominently listed everyone's. Isn't that what are "score's" on FriendBoy? Haha

Yeah it's too bad the situation is as it is for a first time meeting with all the unknown factors on both sides. Totally understanable. I've only been hiring for about two years and although i've never been asked to give a deposit i wouldn't for many of the reasons you've mentioned. I think I've been lucky as every 1st time meeting I've ever had was scheduled somewhere between 2 weeks to 2 months in advance and I've only had one cancellation the day of ( even after a few confirmations just hours before). Obviuosly frustrating because i know that i would never cancel or flake but the first time escort can't soley rely on some new potential client telling him that. But i also always host wherever i already am, so avoid putting myself in a situation to also lose out monetarily.

Depending on a few more details to have a fuller understanding of what was discussed between the escort and the "new client" and the escort and the "regular", i actually tend to agree with you that from the escort's perspective there are very good odds he did do the "smart" thing or at least what i would've reasonably expected to happen. And yeah i also agree with ya, that he should also have tried to "make good" somehow with the new client.

I got the impression from comments above that when asked he wouldn't provide "verifying" pic's of himself and the suggestion was "he/someone" was potentially using "fake" Pic's, not that he wouldn't meet a potential client.

It's too bad that the escorts on here responding find that "phone callers" are in their experience the biggest wastes of their time. But i see why. Personally I would never call without given an explicit ok first from the escort. This client prefers calls in advance to make sure (as best as possible) that there are not any expectations gaps, or misunderstandings or misrepresentations. At least for me, the purpose of the call is to make sure the escort is "real", we're mutually in sync, and 100% is trying to not waste either of our times if we did meet up and then discovered we weren't a good fit. The phone conversation is also very much intended ultimately to help them not waste more time later. But i completely understand that real escorts who are on this forum and are true professionals would have this perspective because they know they are trustworthy, reliable and real but from the client's point of view we also have to find the chaff from the wheat of "time wasters" and i often feel that a professional won't mind a call (after establishing a few things over email or text) and the fakers or others who have people representing them are reluctant to speak.

Congrats. That was brave and commendable of you to take a strong stance out of principle but then to also be able to at least listen to what you thought was a sincere attempt to make some sort of amends and then also to be able to relay with maturity the complexity of your entire experience with him.

Apologies as i wasn't at all clear in my comment. I was actually not thinking so much that he wasn't "real" as someone else was using his Pic's, i actually was thinking that he wasn't taking escorting too seriously. For example if he's doing "shoots" and traveling he might then take a quick appointment or two opportunistically but he's not looking as a "real' focus to establish long term clients if that makes sense. It wasn't meant as a dig at all to him or that approach. I actually shouldn't have posted it as it really was more of me thinking out loud.

I've known him off an on for a couple years. He started at "21" and he's always increased it annually over the past two years. In pictures and in person he can "appear older" than that but when has shorter hair and is freshly clean shaven (and talks about his recent High School friends) and experiences he does "appear to be " in his early 20's and be exactly like he says. Tough one for sure. I think it really really depends on your situation and have to honestly assess your specific relationship. I'm prolly way in the minority as over the past few years, i've "lent/advanced/given" cash to three gentlemen on more than a handful of occassions. Two of the three always kept up their promise and later either paid back the cash in full and/or treated it as prepaid services no problems. The other sometimes did but on balance did not. I wish i had avoided and was smarter and tougher. But I'm confident he didn't intentionally not fulfill his promises, not so much because he wanted to scam and hustle, but really because of other life choices he made and would get himself in dicey situations and really felt he couldn't afford to pay me back.
