Ha! Not to brag (much) but my trusty Nokia 8210 from 2000 still works! It is tiny (convenient) and with great battery life...how quickly we have gotten used to charging our devices multiple times a day! I dont think talking about blood or bleeding is disgusting at all. We are all adults here (even though I still have some growing up to do!) I think of blood the same way I think about oil in my car. It serves a purpose. In my experience (not a provider mind you) bleeding is rare. In fact it has only happened once. I would pay attention to it, the same way I would to an oil leak in my car, as an analogy. In your case, it sounds like something that happens more frequently, so if I were in your shoes I would seek out a medical professional and discuss your body’s reaction. I used one of these many years ago. It even came with its own travel bag. Used it along with a collapsible coffee dripper for my morning fix when I was traveling on the cheap. They are definitely not something you want to use every day or be careless with - i remember coming close to burning myself at least twice. Always handle one as if it is searingly hot. (Kinda like me - always searingly hot, even with morning breath and bed hair) ??

So this just happened to me a few days ago. Provider is on a student visa that expires end of year. I declined the proposal. Was pretty awkward there for a few minutes, wont go into details, but we talked about it and the moment passed. I heard back from the provider this morning - no hard feelings, it is all good. He found somebody else willing to accommodate. And do I want to meet up this week? ?

You sound a little freaked out by this discussion. I hope that is not the case and that I am reading it wrong, not the intention to scare folks. That being said, it is good that you are paying attention and intend to get all 3 shots - in my book that is the right thing to do! ? If you want the full benefit of the vaccine, as discusses above, then yes, you should not have sex. You should also avoid kissing and skin contact as HPV spreads by skin-to-skin contact. This is why the vaccine is recommended for teenagers - to get their immune system up before they become sexually active. There are plenty of resources online or even better: consult a medical professional if that will help with your comfort level.

If it doesn’t generate a cash flow, it isn’t an investment in my book. I know, that is harsh and many here will disagree with me. I’m totally okay with that - the payback period is important to me. ??‍♂️

I read about a study in India some years ago that indicated that the immune response for those that receive two shots (teenagers) or three shots (adults) was superior to those that only received 1 shot. The study was done in India as the shots are expensive for those in developing countries and they wanted scientific evidence. Sticking to the schedule approved by the CDC was shown to result in greater protection over a longer period of time. Australia conducted a similar study and had similar results from what I recall: one shot provides protection/immune response but protection will not be as effective on all strains or last as long. “Lacks persistency” was the exact conclusion. To answer your question: no vaccine can protect you 100% even if you stick to the 3 shot schedule. But if you want maximum protection you should stick to the 3 shot schedule. Caveat: I am not a medical professional, just a geek that reads a lot. Do consult a medical professional on what is best for your health.
