I have a love hate relationship with St. Petersburg. I love the architecture of the various palaces and churches. I love the beautiful floors, ceilings and the interior décor of the various palaces and churches. I love many of the wonderful gardens and fountains. I love several of the museums. There are several palaces, churches, and museums that I did not have time to visit and would thus like to go back for a few additional days. I hate the city as a city. I am a city guy and love wondering around and getting lost in a new city. I love dropping into a coffee bar for a cup of coffee or having lunch in out of the way restaurant. I love window shopping in the afternoon and dropping into interesting shops. Unfortunately, NONE of these city activities are readily available in St. Petersburg or any other Russian city for that matter. I found myself getting claustrophobic in St. Petersburg. I do not speak Russian and very few of the St. Petersburg residents speak English which created a serious barrier.

My memories of Yosemite go back to the summer of 1950. That summer my family spend a week camping at Camp Curry. We certainly could not afford the Ahwahnee Hotel. We continued the practice for the next nine years. We carried our own four-person tent, Coleman Stove, Coleman Lanterns and two or three ice chests. That first year we met several other families camping near our camp site. My parents were quite social, particularly my mother, so by the end of our vacation she had become well acquainted with several of our neighboring camper families. For the next several years three or four families planned their vacations for the same time. During the day we kids played at the camp site, went on nature walks with rangers or went swimming in a pool at the camp. The men frequently went fishing in the Kern River or sat around the camp site shooting the shit and drinking beer, the women usually sat around as well and gabbed and prepared group meals. My most vivid memory of those visits was the 9 pm Fire Falls. Burning embers were spilled off Glacier Point to the valley floor 3000 feet below. It created an incredible site – a ribbon of fire. It was accompanied by a loudspeaker recording of the Indian Love Call sung my Nelson Eddy and Janette McDonald. The Park Service ended the Fire Falls around 1968 claiming that it was an unnatural occurrence in a natural site and was thus inappropriate.

The way to beat the crowds in places like Yosemite and Yellowstone is to stay in a hotel or lodge in the center of the park. Doing that one can get up early and get out before the crowds hit the road. If one is up and out right after sunrise they will have the place to themselves until around 10 a.m. One can then return to the hotel/lodge and have a leisurely breakfast while the crowds inundate the place. The same is true of the late afternoon. The day crowds usually depart around three or four and the parks become peaceful and wonderful again.

Unfortunately his rentmen ad doesn't list anything he is into. Without that information I'm not interested. I know, I might ask him BUT why should I have to?
-
At first glance BOTH ring all the right bells for me. HOWEVER: Prescott doesn't list kissing and oral as things he is into and Afleck lists himself as straight. Those little details eliminate them both from any further consideration by me -- TOO BAD!!!!!

He's has 47 photographs posted on rent.men and nary a one cock shot -- interesting.

The moving of the All-Star Game out of Atlanta is having some interesting repercussions in Georgia. Staci Abrams, both Democratic U.S. Senators and the mayor of Atlanta are up in arms over the moving of the game. They all complain bitterly how the move will severely and dramatically hurt the incomes of large numbers of low-income African Americans in the city.

Looking forward to seeing all of you gents a week from today. Travel safe and be prepared for a great weekend.

Damn the popcorn sounds great. My problem is that I want it drenched in butter and that ends that for me.
-
High acid fruits and unfortunately a second glass of wine. The acid causes my mouth to break out but fortunately sucking on ice helps the problem.

Well, keroscendfire if you are a fan of teriyaki chicken you should love one of the items I'm serving at the Sunday Pool Event - Curry Chicken Skewers with Lime. Here is the list of what’s on my menu besides the Chicken Skewers and the Deviled Eggs: 1.) Dates Stuffed with Pistachios and Dried Apricots, Wrapped with Bacon and Marinated in a special Teriyaki sauce, 2.) Buffalo Wings with Bleu Cheese Dressing, 3.) Marinated Chinese Style Spareribs, 4.) Grilled Steak Kebabs, 5.) Deep Fried Won Tons with Sweet and Sour Sauce, 6.) Sausage and Spinach-Stuffed Mushrooms, 7.) Shrimp Ceviche and 8.) Slider Sloppy Joes. Oliver will likely be providing several additional items. Please, PLEASE arrive hungry.

Mike, I'm damn near sure it would be impossible to find "good" Sichuan or Hunan cuisine in Palm Springs. I put the emphasis here on the word "good". Those types of cuisine are far too spicy (hot) for the older local Palm Springs transplants. They tend to stick to Sweet & Sour Pork.

Restaurants in Palm Springs are NOT typical of restaurants in Southern California in general. Ethnic food in California has traditionally been dominated by Asian and Mexican cuisine. Thus, with that in mind one will usually find excellent Asian and Mexican restaurants in most California cities and towns – NOT, however, in Palm Springs. The Palm Springs population is dominated by transplanted residents from the Midwest and East especially this time of year. Mexican food in California has its origins in Northern Mexico especially Sonora. It is very spicy (hot) and tortillas are made of corn NOT flour. Most native Californians find the Mexican food in Palm Springs bland and tasteless. When I was a kid in Los Angeles Chinese food meant Cantonese style. But that rapidly expanded to include a plethora of different styles from all over China. Chinese food in Palm Springs is still Cantonese dominated. That’s just fine if all you are looking for is Sweet & Sour Pork. Now for some recommendations: Breakfast: 1.) Rick’s Restaurant and Bakery, 1973 North Palm Canyon Drive, 760-416-0090. This place is a Palm Springs breakfast institution and has a very loyal gay clientele, 2.) Elmer’s Restaurant, 1030 East Palm Canyon Drive, 760-327-8419. This is an Oregon chain which I actually prefer to Rick’s but I’m out there by myself on this one. Lunch: Sherman’s Deli & Bakery, 401 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, 760-325-1199. This is another Palm Springs institution. I love their chopped liver on rye. They also serve breakfast and dinner. Tyler’s Burgers, 149 South Indian Canyon Drive, 760-325-2990, another Palm Springs institution. It’s good but I actually prefer In-N-Out. Dinner: Copleys on Palm Canyon, 621 North Palm Canyon Drive, 760-327-9555. Upscale restaurant serving continental food – expensive. Johannes, 196 South Indian Canyon Road, 760-778-0017. Upscale restaurant serving continental and Austrian food – expensive, Spencer’s Restaurant, 701 West Baristo Drive, 760-327-3446. Pretty location. Serves continental food – expensive, Tropicale, 330 East Amado Road, 760-866-1952. Nice atmosphere with good food at moderate prices. These are just a few places I personally know. Please keep in mind that with limited indoor dinning currently in effect in California EARLY reservations are a MUST at all of the nicer restaurants in town. It is NOT to early to make reservations NOW in fact it might even be too late

The gay/straight hiring thing has been discussed a multitude of times here over the years. It all comes down to whatever floats your boat. I, for example, NEVER approach a straight guy -- I insist on keep my money in the gay family.
-
Both have nice bodies but as they don't list kissing and/or oral as things they are into I have zero interest.

I love cruising but have a rather unusual attitude toward doing so. I NEVER take a cruise that includes ports I want to see in depth: ie. arriving in the port of Rome, getting on a but at 8 a.m. and being driven to Rome, then make "photo stops" around the city and returning to the ship around 4 or 5 pm is a TOTAL waste of my time. For me cruising vacations are "crash vacations". They are great when visiting the islands of the Caribbean or the South Pacific. These ports are worth a day but not much more. On these cruises I relax and enjoy shipboard life. The one exception to the above was when I took a Baltic Cruise with a friend. We were in St. Petersburg for two full days. I arranged to hire a local private guide and driver just for the two of us. I made out our itinerary prior to our arrival and the guide arranged everything. They were two long, frantic days but damn we saw and did a lot.

Some (many) legitimate escorts post photographs of themselves taken by professional photographers. I see nothing wrong with that. In fact, I like the idea that the guy is making the effort to present himself in as positive a manner as possible. I also appreciate well done non-professional photographs. The two types of photographs work well together. What I don’t appreciate are awful selfies. Now by that I mean photographs that show the escort’s hand holding his cellphone, photographs where the light is so bad you can barely make out the subject, photographs that have disgusting backgrounds, and photographs that are barely in focus. To me these types of photographs indicate a poor marketing attitude and a lazy attitude. P.S. You might if you wish complain that my opinion is largely based on the fact that I taught photography for many years.

Marylander1940 your post regarding how underrated Galician seafood is really struck home for me. I had some of the best seafood I've ever eaten, in my life, in Santiago de Compostela at "A Taberna do Bispo". The waiter was absolutely over the top with wonderful suggestions and just plain fun. We had such a great meal and such great fun that we went back again the next night. When the waiter saw us enter he rushed up to the hostess and insisted that she seat us in his section. That night he came up with a completely different assortment of wonderful dishes. As I remember it we tipped him an obscene amount. Ah such memories!!!!!

WilliamM the first time I was in Spain Francisco Franco was still alive. I was there in 1970 and he died in 1975. Madrid wasn't all that gloomy but I wasn't there in the winter. As I remember it it was hotter than hell at the time which isn't all that unusual for Madrid in the summer.

The secret to visiting places like Venice, Florence, and Sienna is to get a hotel and stay a few days. Tourist day buses start rolling in around 9:30 or 10:00 and start departing around 2:30 or 3:00. Thus, in the relatively early morning and in the late afternoon and evening one has these cities to oneself and they are magic. I spent three weeks in both Venice and Florence and ten days in Sienna -- pure magic. When I was in Florence, I visited the Uffizi so many times that I got to know several of the room guards. They were so pleased that I returned for several visits that they went out of their way to show me numerous special and hidden treasures. Damn those were great days. I really cannot put into words how much I hate and resent this fucking pandemic. Even at 80 I have a multitude of places and sites I need to visit. If I were 35 or 40, I could easily out wait the fucking thing but at 80 that is not necessarily the case.

I find it hard to believe that I'm not the only gay may in the world who prefers Madrid to Barcelona. The panhandling by African refugees is horrific in Baracelona and don't get in their way when they scatter upon seeing the local police. If you do you are likely to land on the sidewalk flat on you back. I'm also not a great fan of the Catalans. They are arrogant, self centered and seem to believe that they are many times better than the rest of the Spaniards. Now for something that will send some of you wild. I intensely dislike Antolnio Gaudi's architecture. Every time I look at Sagrada Familia or Casa Mila I get seasick. There is indeed a lot to dislike about Paris (the crowds, the dirty streets, the long lines, etc.) BUT there is also a lot to like. Some of the out of the way museums and churches are wonderful. And no matter how crowded the city is it does have a very unique ambience. Dinning on one of the boats on the Seine with many bridges, churches and civic buildings outlined in lights has to be one of the most romantic excursions in the world. Now I've been several time and do not need to go back again but am so glad I did go -- it was wonderful. I love London. It is a great walking city. Also I have found that as I have aged it's nice to speak the language. I have a long list of pubs that I visit on each visit. The theater in London during the winter is absolutely marvelous. Many of the great English language actors appear on stage during that time. Many would find Venice overrated - I don't. The art available all over the city is amazing especially if one is a fan of the Northern Italian Rennaissance. I doubt there is a more beautiful view than standing on the Rialto Bridge gazing up the Grand Canal at dusk. The lite shimmer, sparkles and dances off the water.

Unfortunately Sarasota is on the opposite of the country from Southern California. However, if they were in my area they would definitely be in my bed.

From personal experience I can and certainly do recommend AsianMuscleBottom. If he appeals to you physically you won't go wrong getting together with him. Cometdancer doesn't live in Palm Springs but lives near enough to come over if you set up a get together. Again from personal experience I recommend him without reservations. If he appeals to you he would be a great hire. Dane Scott lives in Palm Springs and is another outstanding choice. There are going to be a number of great escorts visiting Palm Springs during the 18th Annual Weekend gathering (the weekend of April 10 and 11). If you attend you will meet a number a available guy. I you plan to attend keep your eyes peeled to the Escort Travel Forum and see who will be there. =

I've seen this ad before. The first guy photographed seem to be suffering from a slight case of gynecomastia.
