  1. I cancelled a trip to Vegas this week. Nothing about travel seems fun these days. The COVID measures being deployed around table games are dreadful; I have no interest in any of that joylessness. I probably won't visit Vegas again for a long time.

No shows, no buffets, some places charging an extra fee for this mess I'm right there with you. Total joy kill. I'll save my money and go elsewhere. We arent big gamblers and go mostly to see a show or two. At this point no point in going.

    Greg

  2. My birthday is hidden on FB. But even if it wasn't I wouldn't mind public wishes. I'm rarely on FB any more. It no longer serves a positive function. The only reason why I havent totally cut the cord is because a few games I play are unfortunately connected to the site.

    Greg

  3. Yes, not owing any money at all can have an adverse effect on your FICO score. But with a near perfect score, why are you worried? Someone with a score of 800+ need not worry anout borrowing all the money he should ever need. Maybe you just wanted brag about your high score.

I never figured the op to be a bragger. I think his concern is valid.

  4. Retirement is great, but.......Mortgage rates are so low that I'm considering re-financing my current 30 year mortgage , which has 14 years remaining. Turbotax just told me my credit score is 791. Several mortgage brokers are trying to get me to re-finance. Will my current retirement status (with a decent IRA, social security, and a few investments) be a problem??

We closed on our condo in Nov and we just refi the other day. We went from 3.50ish% down to just over 2%.

  5. I've always been told that although paying off your credit cards is the responsibil thing to do it does hurt ones score a little bit. I've been rebuilding mine the last few years and trying to make sense of the scores is maddening. Im at a point I'm going to pay off my cards and pay mortgage monthly and not worry about the numbers. Besides the occasional piece of equipment for my business I dont have plans to make a big purchase for a while.

  7. My point is you insulted @GregM too. Once the post is quoted deleting your post is meaningless. Until next time.

People can say whatever they want about me. Cause unless they know me in real life their opinion doesn't matter to me. If anything I probably would had gotten a good laugh. Cause if you can't laugh at yourself you can't really laugh at others. Also I wont apologize for not toeing the liberal line ?‍♂️ I'm finding liberals more bullies than anyone else lately. Carry on.

  8. ALL the listed guys on this thread are HOT.

But I MUST comment, especially in these difficult times where we report that we want racial strife and discrimination to end, especially against the Black community: how telling is it about our community here that after 16 men were listed as hot, not ONE of them was a Black man?

Yes, I know, you may attack me for such a statement. But after you do, ask yourself: is there any valid truth to the point I make? If so, how do you reconcile your belief that "Black Lives Matter" when we make a total race invisible? We cant change others, but we can change ourselves. But we must first take courage & admit to our weaknesses, however painful the exercise is.

    I love you all.

Be safe in this horrid epidemic.

    And yes, Black Lives Matter

Why are you making this about race? ? Oh All Lives Matter.

  9. @jawjateck What browser are you using? I've cancelled multiple Delta flights via website over the past few months with no issue. But I could NOT rebook with the resulting credits - the website put me in an endless loop. I was using Edge and my iPhone when this was happening. I eventually tried the same thing using Explorer and - voila! - problem solved. This may not be your issue, but maybe worth a try.

Thats odd. What would make the site wonky like that?

  10. I respectfully ask you to stop throwing shade on the guys being listed on this thread. There’s already a lot of negativity out there, please don’t bring it here.

You have two choices. You can alert the mods or put me on ignore. Either way no skin off my nose. Bless your little heart. Hope your day is going well.

  11. You don’t have to shoot down other people’s preferences just to express yours, you know.

I started this thread in the spirit of fun, please don’t get it locked by derogatory remarks.

Maybe try being less sensitive? Unless you're one of the reporters.

  12. I came across MyFico from a YouTube video this afternoon. It seems kind of complicated from what I saw from the video. Can any bankers or financial people vouche for it's usefulness? Is it better than Credit Karma or Experian? MyFico charges almost $30 a month for monitoring.

    Hugs,

    Greg
