Agreed. If it’s a blase and unenthusiastic initial response,  it’s already off to a poor start with bad energy.  Find another masseur who appreciates his clients ! 

Agree vote here too. If a provider acts like he's doing you a favor, he needs some life lessons. I wouldn't be surprised if he uses the "but" line to justify a higher rate table.

I just messaged Marcus on RM yesterday, and sadly, he said he had no immediate plans to be in Palm Springs.  

I'll be there! Though due to a work commitment with my day job, I won't be arriving until Saturday evening after the dinner. But I'll be sticking around until Tuesday.

I’m attending all the main festivities this year, arriving Friday, staying in a poolside room at InnDulge.
Newell, of my collaborating masseurs/escorts is my guest. We are both available throughout the weekend individually and together, although I’m sure Newell will probably be busy with his regulars in PS. I have a few of my own in PS I imagine will want to book some of my time. My focus and priority, however, is getting to know you all. If you hire me in between the main events, great, but I mostly just hope to relax and have some fun with y’all.

I’m grateful that I’m  enjoying a fulfilling retirement. I remind myself every day how lucky I am to be  a 70 year old who lives a very nice, happy life. So many gay men of my generation died way too young; many before they were even 30 years old. I’m grateful I avoided an early death. I’m also thankful for my friend's whether we have been friends for sixty years or six months. Finally , I’m thankful for this website.

Azdr, we are very much like minds in our approaches to grammar and sentence construction.  I often wish I had made my living as a professional proofreader/editor.  I still might...never too late, right?  I agree with all three of your observations.  That use of "however" is clunky and interrupts the flow of the sentence.
