  1. Due to kidney and osteoporosis Issues I'm not able to take PreP. Plus I'm still traumatized by the epidemic in the 80's. I use condoms faithfully.

This bring up another possible motivation, if PrEP became widespread enough, I think people who can't use it might benefit indirectly, what's called herd immunity.

For other STIs, I wonder if there is a lack of research into new treatments due to judgmental attitudes, but I suppose we can't get into that to far without the thread getting moved to the politics subforum.

  2. Mine does, I was concerned there may have been some hoops to jump through but it went right through, my copay was $30 for 30 pills, a dollar a day and it may be possible to reduce that even further with the co-pay support program:

Pricing is a serious issue for widespread usage particularly with the non-insured or insurance that refuses to cover it, if that's possible. I thought the pharmacy clerk said it would have been $117 if it hadn't been covered, which is a lot to pay monthly for a lot of people. It's less than what I spend on hiring so I just consider it the cost of doing bizness.

Off topic, @latbear4blk where is your avatar from?

  3. Funny timing, after talking it over with my doc, I started PreP yesterday. In a refreshing turn from many experiences I've read on the web, when I described my situation, she offered it, I'm hoping the tide the turning from the old stories of primary care docs refusing to prescribe it, insisting on referring to infectious disease specialists.

Having said that, I don't see this as a binary choice, condoms have a role and PreP has a roll and while they overlap for HIV, there are other STIs for which condoms remain a major preventative tool.

Edited to say I concur with @pitman , talk to your doc.

  4. Inconceivable! ;)

Were you logged in when you tried? It shows up for me, both logged in and not, but I have "Profile Visibility" disabled, so people don't see when I look at their profile.

  5. I do not fully agree here. In my opinion, what distinguishes Sean from anyone else and moves him to the top, is his intelligence and intellectual sophistication. On looks, kindness, and talent there are some that may match him.

I recommend these two with no hesitation. Great kissers, passionate and engaged.

PerfectPackage is coming to town soon. I think KevinRyder has an acoount here, @London

  6. While dog sitting for some friend who have Amazon Prime video, I ran across a video about this. I'd say the wikipedia page is pretty good:

Much like the shock of recognition the first time I read a description of precordial catch, I've always experienced ASMR when I get my hair cut by a professional (I've clipped my own hair most of my life). There seems to be some skepticism that ASMR exists, but I can say it does, although I went through a lot of videos that say thy are intended to trigger this, none of them triggered for me.

I should make clear that for me, this is a non-sexual experience, the person cutting my hair can be male or female, the response is usually the same. Most of the videos found online were young women, so I can imagine they get a lot of views from young guys, even if they aren't triggered.

I did find some guy videos, just to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't. I guess for me, it has to be the real thing, digital simulations don't cut it.

So, anyone else heard of this, or also experience it? I do understand there will likely be some skeptical feedback, I can't fault that, but I know I had experience that match the description perfectly, so I'm a believer.

  7. I had a sightly atypical history, in that I had been fooling around since at least as early as 7, but it was just fooling around. My mom went to nursing school, and I had read her textbooks, so I knew if was common for kids to go through a phase of same sex experimentation that didn't reflect on their adult sexuality, so I was extremely nonchalant about fooling about. Then when I was a freshmen in high school, so I guess 14, there was a guy in one of my classes who was very popular in the 'non-jock, non-military' group, and I thought he was super cute (like just about everyone else thought about him) and knew I wanted to fool around with him, but as the year went on, I realized I had a strong emotional attachment to him, that I had a crush on him specifically as a guy, and I remember thinking "oh, that means I'm like the guys downtown" because I lived on the more suburban end of town, where the high school was, and the gay guys were mostly out and about downtown. And that how I realized I was gay.

  8. There a bunch of working guys on my wish list who are just not local, so that may or may not happen, it would be more likely if I travelled, which I don't really want to, so I don't think they fall into the impossible category, it's just logistics.

Probably my #1 impossible connection would be Eddie Diaz, his on screen persona is very sexy to me. Marc Williams is another. I like Tiger Tyson a lot, but I don't have much to do with an exclusive top.

  9. My feeling is companionship is a valuable service and in no way should making agreed upon payments be an opportunity for a client to make an escort feel belittled, I hope no one is intentionally doing that. Of course people may feel awkward at first, just be honest with each other and I want to believe the feeling will pass. There are enough people in the general public to want to dump on providers and clients, it seems like we don't need over critical of each other on top of that.

  10. I'm not verbal during sex (I can't speak during, I have to completely stop so my thinking can organize enough to articulate) so anything with lyrics in a language I can understand is not optimal.

My personal favorite is Peter Gabriel's Passion

It's such a standard for me, one bf would put it on as a signal he was ready to get some.

That said, I can have strong opinions, I was recently entertained with some music that couldn't seem to decide if it was new age or jazz, like Kenny G type jazz, and for some insight to my thoughts on that, I'll just leave this here:
