I look at the Lounge, Deli, and “Ask” - subforums. I think I’ve (in your mind) “trolled” you on two threads. Both of your opinions there were, in my opinion, a bit outlandish.
 
I think people are allowed to question others here, otherwise we wouldn’t have a reply function /ability to quote. I don’t think I’ve been unnecessarily catty or anything on the regular, sometimes I’m sarcastic / pedantic, but so are a lot of the regular posters here
 
I’ve never heard about the government inserting drugs into the gay community to kill it. Maybe you’ve read an article or watched a documentary, and if so, I’d love to know.

I think that I answered very reasonably, I think if you have something interesting to add about government and chemical warfare on the gay community, that this community of many gay men would be interested to hear about it. Taking it to PM is not really the way to go on a matter like this, where knowledge could benefit the community at large.

I’m always open to these types of discussions, the worst case scenario is a bitchy response, but they may also be thankful and want to find a way to show it.
 
When I was new, I charged a lot more and had no trouble finding it in certain cities, but ultimately I adapted to more middle of the pack rates. They, too, will likely adjust if they are finding little business.

Don’t act so sensitive, get better ideas - if you wanna discuss something scientific, come with something scientific

I don’t ask for pics, but can’t blame anyone who does, if they think that level of screening is important to ensuring a worthwhile experience with the client. Better to know up front if they think there will be chemistry than have you come and be disappointed because they can’t get it up.

Sexual chemistry is crucial to me. Few things worse than being with a guy who isn't into it. I would rather know that in advance and not have to deal with the disappointing appointment. If he gets my pic and declines, I just think "how awful would it have been to be lying next to him watching him try to get hard....?"

@hypothetically I simply wanted to avoid having a bad date or disappointing session. If a provider was unsure about whether to meet me, an older man, I was happy to provide a photo.
 
I appreciate that other clients might not do so - that’s up to them, and how they make arrangements. For me, sending a pic was no big deal.

Meet in lobby, acknowledge each other with a nod, head into the elevator together, make sure the coast is clear as he follows you to the room, go in together - if you run into co-workers / friends - it happens - have the pro make a loop / grab ice / go to vending machine and come back to your room when clear - you can crack door of / be waiting close behind door to make his entrance quick and sneaky

Well, I'm not 100% sure if it was a "date" or "two buddies hanging out," but it was a good time. A good dinner together at Spices, a pan-Asian restaurant in DC's Cleveland Park, followed by Black Panther. The talk over dinner was wide-ranging and honest. He had a long-term relationship with a Naval officer that ended amicably when the guy got stationed on the West Coast, and he hasn't been serious with anyone since. I gave him more detail about my life than I'd previously shared with the basketball gang, and he asked a lot of questions. In both case the fact of no relationship came up-- sort of date-y, I'd say.
 
He asked about the boys and I'm embarrassed to say I showed him pictures-- not very date-y? But he seemed interested and asked more about them. As the meal went on it maybe got a little flirtatious, and I think my earlier speculation about eye contact was right, and came into play. I don't think straight men hold eye contact with other men much, and there was a moment when we were just looking at each other, and then both of us laughed. Very date-y.
 
He's a little shorter than me, maybe 5'11. Dark brown hair and eyes. Deep voice, like I said. Nice arms and shoulders, which I know from playing ball with him (basketball), and a really cheerful demeanor.
 
Off to Black Panther, we both loved it, but no hanky-panky. Then to an Irish bar across the street for a drink, too loud to talk much, but a nice vibe. Leaving, he said, "Let's do this again soon, " and I said "I'd like that." I think kind of teenage date-y. Walking along, we came to his car first, and gave each other a manly hug that lasted a little long, looked at each other and laughed again.
 
So honestly, I think a fairly "straight" first date, which was fine. I had been ready for something to happen (and yes, brought condoms), but I'm not disappointed We had fun. He's cool. We'll do it again. And maybe more. Thanks for all the support!

Your post is one one the reasons I really enjoy this forum. Can't find this honesty anywhere else. I can identify with all you've said here. Difference for me is I only see escorts. Great sex no drama and tons of fun. I keep it simple and fun. Not for everyone. I'm just not interested in relationships just great sex with a man who makes me feel great.

That’s a tricky one, room on either client or provider side for a bit of potential “gaming.” Knowing what a sweetie you are / seeing the exact wording, it is clear what was your expectation and that this was a clear misunderstanding.
 
From their side, I would definitely raise the issue if I thought I had been shorted, but be prepared to chalk it up to a “lesson learned.” Then just make sure to operate with more clarity about money/hr with later clients. If this person is in it for the long haul, they’ll be okay with that.
