My tactics: visual inspection of clients, care about the kind of clients I take on (no last minute late night requests for ‘half hour’ sessions…that kind of thing), doxy prep occasionally, fastidious about regular check ups, vaccination (hep c, monkey pox), prep daily (obviously), mouthwash and pee afterwards, douche after bottoming (if practical), no drugs, no alcohol , no poppers (not for me anyway, clients can). But at the end of the day there’s risks with everything, I’m not going to be silly but I’m also not a monk…(happy to dress up as one and role play it though if that’s any client’s  thing 😂).

This is an important topic and one which deserves serious consideration.Thanks for raising it! 
I guess I’m having a lot more sex with different guys than someone who doesn’t do sex work so one might assume that I’d catch things. Especially because the majority of the sex I have is condom less. Most people I see don’t want to use a condom for sex and certainly in the porn I do it’s never with a condom. I think what people see on porn is what they like or want to do in sessions so that ‘no condom’ thing transfers over. Those clients that might want to use a condom because of concerns about STD’s tend to go for action that doesn’t include penetration (oral obviously doesn’t count as penetration!).
However, in the years I’ve been doing sex work I can’t think of any occasions when I’ve caught something from a client, and two occasions when I’ve caught something from another porn performer. It’s actually quite rare and in my check ups (every 3m) I’m clear. 
I think the chances of catching something are far higher when attending sex parties or sex clubs / saunas. The reason? People who do sex work are fastidious about sexual health check ups because if they catch something then they’re unable to work for 2 weeks. Guys that go to these parties and clubs are less careful and get tested less frequently.
So whatI think is that if you see a professional then it’s probably a lot safer than if you see someone off a hookup app or at a sauna or club. 
 

Side effects as listed for medications do not necessarily mean cause and effect.  People can report any side effects to the manufacturer when taking medication and if that measures to more than 2% the side effect is listed as possible related.  Lesser side effects will also be listed, just not was prominently.  
HPV is given as two injections between ages 9 and 14 usually 18 months or so apart.  If not completed additional vaccinations can be given between ages 15 and 26.  If there is immunosuppressive condition, a third vaccination is suggested.  After age 26 until age 45, the decision to vaccinate is a decision between doctor and patient.  Usually it is considered that a person with prior low exposure who might now, at an older age be more exposed, is someone who is eligible for a vaccine in that age group.  
There are no recommendations for immunization after the age or 45.  If you were to receive it, a physician would be giving the medication off label.  If there were a significant reaction, the drug manufacturer would have greater legal protection from liability.  Not all physicians are willing to give medications off label, but many do.  A physician who deals with sexually active mature adults, such as the physician providing PrEP, would likely be amenable to a discussion of the appropriateness of HPV vaccination for anyone who has a concern about it.  

He'll join you for Christmas dinner with the family, but in return you'll have to deal with his family as well.  And when the paid session is over, he'll also want custody of the dog. 🐶

I've used a CPAP for several years, took to it right away and don't like sleeping without it.  I take that as an indication my body likes it, too.  Important to realize there are many different options for masks, and a new patient should insist that the doctor/equipment supplier make changes as necessary until the right mask is found.  I'm currently using the ResMed Airfit N20, which is a nasal mask with pretty substantial headgear, but because I toss a lot it keeps the mask on securely.  But that's me.  Bonus for folks with sleep partners, a properly functioning CPAP should greatly cut down on snoring and other night noises.

Pretty damned rude.  It's nice when the trash takes itself out.

if your friend did not go to a doctor that specializes in sleep disorders, I'd encourage consulting one; my PCP referred me several times to sleep clinics, and each time recommended the masks that look like gas masks; I tried that but did not tolerate using them; the specialist had me try various, less intrusive options, and I have been using one for 5 or 6 years with success

He's a legal adult.  He could have moved out from parents and had his own spouse and children at 18!  It's very sad what happened, but these adult 19-22 year olds are whom to blame.
