I just want to start by saying as a older man with no family, I am greatfull for those of your doing this work.  I look for escorts to acompany me to dinner and the thearter, other time for more personal company.
When speaking to a provider for the first time I always inquire what they want for their time, I would never be so disrespectful as try to ask for less.  There have been times a provider replys with what are you offering I allway respond with what I have.
I get theater tickes from the providence performing arts center for the most part and live north of Boston.

I had a potential client hit me up recently, he was nice.. married but couldn't meet for a whole week or two weeks after our first contact I believe. I told him that we could reserve a date for in the future and for him to contact me closer to the time he was thinking of meeting. He proceeded to send me very descriptive messages about what he wanted to do and asking for my input. I know it comes with the territory but after a few years you start to notice when a guy is just chatting you up while jerking off and never intends to meet so I told him if he wanted to send an "incentive" for all this dirty texting then cool but if not he could just wait until a day or two before and just hit me up about details on the meeting. He chilled out and we in fact did NOT end up meeting. Its a slippery slope because both sides have been scammed before so how do you protect yourself as a provider.

I would consider it a red flag, too, although, I have used similar words when communicating with a massage therapist. In the massage realm, it is fairly common to lose a regular favorite and want to replace him. I no longer mention that.

Have had the same experience. Some are okay with it and others freak out so I've stopped trying on Grindr. (I will say here in Europe I've gotten less aggressive negative reactions though so thats sweet.) It's way better when it's on a site that you definitely know what's going on.

WRONG. They want to meet because so many guys are fake and catfishes. They want to meet to not waste there time “getting to know” someone who is fake. I NEVER waste time getting to know someone. We either meet in person in short order or not. So many guys use fake or outdated pictures, its pathetic.

He can go "call on" pretty much any provider when he wants to. For myself and certain others, the very first thing I do is ask them "are you okay with clients of my ethnicity."
 
If the reply is no, we spare ourselves an uncomfortable in-person rejection. If the reply is yes, it can still create a dynamic where the patron still feels "less than" because he had to ask in the first place. But in my experience, better to check than get rejected.

It's my first week of a month and half trip in Amsterdam and then London and I've never connected with many other escorts on the pretenses of going out or having a go at one another at their place. (I also haven't been doing this consistently enough for that to happen until recently I suppose)

It happened again last night here in Austin. At 7:00 p.m. I get a "Hi" from a Grinder subscriber who purports to be 25. My profile reads that I am 54, so I am intrigued but not fooled. I ask have you read my profile. He responds with something suggesting that he has. I send him a recent photo, still he remains. He sends me a photo, and sure enough, its the photo of a 25 year old. I ask provocative questions, he responds with short answers but no questions of his own. I get blatant about what I like in the sack. Still he remains. He asks if he may come over. Duh. He may. Then...the shoe drops. We talked about the scope and scale of my "generosity". Then he came over, and he was 25-ish and did what we discussed, and it was terrific.

As a client, in NYC, I find Grindr quite useful for hiring. Most escorts using Grindr are not "advertising" there. They could very well be pursuing their own personal interests. I like "meeting" through Grindr because of the opportunity to chat, exchange pics, make both of our interests and expectations clear, etc quickly and easily.
