Super nice guy. Saw him on my last trip to DC. Decent massage, but he’s not able to go very deep. I still enjoyed it, left feeling super relaxed. Extras within limits.

8 months is the current standard unless you are immunosuppressed in which case you should get a third shot immediately. I had my third shot and ran a fever all night and body aches but better to have a fever for a day and body aches than to end up on a ventilator or worse.  The idiots who are not getting vaccinated deserve whatever happens to them, IMHO.

I hate to ask this, but I must.
Is the ongoing treatment for COVID more profitable for Pharma than the preventative inoculations?

Would that profit motive have any benefits directly or indirectly to Public Health policy makers ? or elected Representatives who have been slow to support masking, vaccines, or are vocal about stalling booster shots?
Treatments for polio took a financial hit when the entire population was vaxxed…
As the virus morphs more, additional treatments will emerge and be essential meds.
I cannot imagine how any public official can still be talking smack about the vaccines or boosters, unless they are amoral craven pigs.

The younger you are, the more side effects with the Moderna second shot. I have seen patients with three days off work due to side effects of the second injection. Nevetheless, take any vaccine you can get!

Trust me, I don't pay any mind to the COVIDiots out there. I just wanted to contextualize that this was a thread that caused controversy and I appreciate the admins allowing a brave discussion.

I want to express thanks to the admins of the site who have not locked down or deleted this thread. I know that not everyone agrees with my viewpoint, I have received a bunch of hate notes, someone tried to dox me (LOL), and a few guys had enough guts to message their opposing viewpoints on the thread. Regardless of whether we agree or not, I am grateful this forum exists and we can have discussions that are meaningful and productive. It serves as a resource, and the admins have shown that they understand that purpose. So- thanks for this safe space to have these kind of chats, as well as a place to find out which hot masseur gives the best HE. LOL, again.

Bottom line is Big Dale is correct. This is NOT the time to be seeking out massages. As well, wearing masks and washing hands frequently are the two most important things to do when go into public places. The wisest thing is to remain at home and social distance. The greatest spread is currrently caused by mixing of households and private social gatherings. If you need to go to a grocery store, go in buy what is needed go home and stay masked during the shopping, use hand sanitizer after getting in your car and wash your hands again at home. Physician offices are relatively safe so long as you are masked, there is screening occurring by the medical staff, and you again use hand sanitizer after leaving. I am a physician, have worked full time throughout the pandemic, have not become COVID positive and follow these simple rules. Finally, get vaccinated as soon as you are offered the opportunity to do so.

I am also over two weeks out from my second dose of vaccine and therefore considered 95% protected. However, we all, vaccinated or not, need to continue to mask, social distance, wash hands and follow all recommended public health mitigation measures. That includes not socializing with groups indoors, no indoor restaurant dining unless extremely cautious, etc. I had no significant side effects but have many colleagues who ran high fevers for a day but then were fine. I strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated when it is their turn. I continue to advocate that no one has a massage presently as it is an unnecessary risk to you, the masseur, your family, your friends.

I'm one of the fortunate ones to have gotten the vaccine and I'm 2 weeks after my second shot so hopefully am fully immune. However with the spread of the new strains which are more transmissible we all still need to mask up and social distance.
I tolerated the vaccine well; just a little arm soreness after the first shot and surprisingly nothing much after the second unlike the experience of some of my colleagues who experienced some weakness or even fever and pain although all lasted only 24 hrs.
