I've looked at the eligibility criteria and to actually benefit from the policy you have to be in really bad shape in terms of not being able to perform the activities of daily living. We're talking not being able to make a bowel movement independently. Most old folks are not and will not be in that situation, and thankfully so.
My view is that it's best to self-insure by investing. In addition to standard retirement money, have a separate bucket set aside for elder care. You likely won't need the money until your 70s or 80s so it should be 100% stocks and no bonds.

The best form of LTC insurance is to take care of yourself and eat healthy when you're in your prime. A nursing home should be something you're actively trying to avoid in your old age.
It's possible that you may need a nurse to visit you at home a couple times a week or maybe even daily but that's something you can anticipate and invest for decades in advance.

He knows how much he can command. He's worked really hard on his body and so can command a premium. You're paying for a rolls royce in a market where most of the other offerings are toyotas.
He's deleted his profile now. I would guess that he's been snapped up by a billionaire. It was only a matter of time in a city like New York.

I've been lucky to meet some amazing people through RM. Many have become friends, others have become beloved regulars.
And I also feel the urge to sometimes try out somebody new. This has panned out for the most part but tonight I was robbed by 'CreamyJoel' from RentMen.
When he arrived, I immediately noticed he did not match his photos AT ALL. I calmly asked him to leave and he started to press me for money immediately. I told him his photos didn't match and he became very angry and demanded money.
Despite my survival instincts, I refused on principle. I fled to my room and tried to close the door but he jammed his arm into the door and wouldn't allow my escape. I then called 911. To my surprise, he said he wasn't afraid of the police and that he would assault me if I didn't give in immediately.
This went on for some time before he attempted to take my phone. After some time, he actually did swing and hit me in the face. I paid him $100 on Cashapp and he fled.
I now completely understand the abundance of caution you all take here by consulting reviews and carefully vetted references.
I won't be doing that again,

I'm currently on my fourth dedicated trip to London solely for the purpose of sex. For someone like me who is into white and latin guys there really is no other city that comes close in terms of escort offerings.
    What are your favourite destinations?

I got my Hep A shot today. In hindsight, it's something I should have done years ago. I did get my HPV shot a couple years ago though. I also have had the Hep B vaccine.  Are there any other vaccines that are recommended for this hobby?

FWIW @jessmapex my approach was different. I first worked out what my level of spending would be for a comfortable retirement. Then I tripled it. That gave me my target retirement income after tax. It allows for inflation, tax changes, currency fluctuations etc. I also assumed I’d earn only 3% after tax on my capital.

I suggest you do your own calculations and use modest or conservative rates of return as everyone spends differently and enjoys life in myriad different ways. Also everyone’s health and views on longevity will be different.
You did ask about comparative spending. I’ve been retired for a long time, but in my 50s, I was very sociable. I dated a lot of nice young men and I spent readily. My annual ‘hobby’ (or wellness) spending peaked at about $70000 but most years it averaged $15-20000. I don’t regret it as I had a great time. Now I’m older, I still save (ie don’t spend all my pension income) and my investment income is automatically reinvested.

Is your total monthly income $1k or what you allow for hiring? I reread it several times and I think you mean $1k/mon? If you can spare that, I’d say you’re in the clear!

At the end of the day, there’s no way to guarantee anyone’s status.  Someone on PreP could forget to take a dose, as could someone who is taking drugs to remain undetectable. It is in everyone’s best sexual health interest to use condoms. I personally have never barebacked (and don’t plan to) and very very rarely do anal in the first place.

In an array of collapsing dominoes with other flaky gentlemen I’d arranged to meet in London…I ended up engaging BlondieBoyy, his links above.
So it was a very fun meeting, 30 mins of massage at my request (was quite good) then fun. I’d recommend him. To address some of the comments above:
He’s 20 now not 19, and he looks far more mature than his pics. No “kiddy porn” @pubic_assistance 😉 He’s NOT naturally smooth He does NOT smoke He has an amazing tight body and beautiful equipment. I topped.  His face in considerably more handsome than his pics show. Very engaging and fun to talk to…we quickly connected and had a great time.
The rest of my SleepyBoy gents I’d chatted with all demurred about scheduling, cancelled, ghosted. Like 4 of them 😖

Side effects are in a very small percentage of users (sub 2%).
Eat with your meds (or half-glass of milk).  That solves the stomach issues.
Kidney and liver issues happen in a tiny fraction of users and if you're going in for the required blood work that goes along with being on PrEP, they can easily see if things are going wrong.
You're at greater risk taking aspirin, which causes over 3k deaths a year.

Quincy_7 reacted to pubic_assistance in Doxy PEP Offers Alternative To Condoms
Deterioration of kidney function in men over 50 is his major concern.
The stomach issues are more uncomfortable than dangerous.
Some liver damage reported but not common.
DESCOVY appears (thus far) to have fewer incidents than Truvada.

You mean, asking my potential sugar daddy to meet me at Daniel in Manhattan is a bad idea?
I thought hitting him up for the $20k monthly stipend would bookend the fifth course of goose fat terrine perfectly.
