IME the stipend might run as little as $2000 a month assuming you pick up all the bills (groceries, restaurants, theatre, concerts, travel, gym membership, clothing, iPhone, weekend trips, overseas vacations etc). The total costs overall for me might have run as high as $10-12000 a month.
It’s for the OP to decide what exclusivity he requires, how often he wants companionship etc and it’s a matter of negotiation between him and the working guy. I think if we open a section in this forum for amateurs to advertise, the rates will come down. Due to RM, a few select ones who are better marketeers and commerce-oriented than service-oriented get unnecessary airtime and jack the prices up unreasonably.

In a comment above someone said the young ones are the ones quoting $500. As I age, I find many things expensive that some younger folks I know and who make much less than I do, don't. My price points seem to have fixated in early 2010s. That makes me wonder if the younger demographic of hobbyists (say 20s-40s) on this forum finds $500 expected price to pay to spend an hour with a provider you find attractive.
