I don't know if folks saw my teaser in the Lounge for the new review site, but with the new system we will have the capability to have multiple categories of things to review.  This will include things such as:
 
Inside of each category will be items (either a person or a place).  It's basically the thing being reviewed.  Each item depending on what category that it is in can have a set of questions/fields associated with it.  This allows us to ask different questions for each type of item being reviewed.  
Within each item will be the ability to have reviews.  Again, since different categories can have different types of needs, I can create different questions for the reviews themselves.  Think of the reviews as descriptions of the encounter.  You will have an item (aka the masseur) and then the item will have reviews that describe member's encounters.
Given the progress that is being made with the new review site, I'm ready to start figuring out what information we want to collect.  This is where I need your help!
I need to collect both the types of categories we want and what questions would be in the category.  For example:

I need to do this for both individual masseurs and for spas.  I would anticipate there would be different things you would want to know about a spa versus someone who is freelance. Let me know the types of info you think are critical to ask about both the item (person) and about the encounter itself.

These you will see at an increasing number of shows in the future.  The systems have gotten more efficient and it's now easy to keep your device with you- locked in the case- and have an usher quickly unlock at intermission and/or as you're exiting the theatre.
If people can't be trusted to sit quietly for two hours, then these pouches are a necessary evil.  I've had entirely too many Broadway and touring shows ruined due to asshole audience members who answer calls, send texts, take video/pics during the production.

And then there's this...  A masterclass in vocal shape, vocal placement and a huge range.
I'm still bummed I never flew in to see her do King and I at Lincoln Center.

Almost $11,000 was raised!
Team Washington, led by @Orin, used some of the money for travel to/from Las Vegas to secure the computers in Daddy's apartment Some money was also used to move the site to new hosting servers etc. and secure a new Domain name Team Washington has now transferred the remaining money to @RadioRob and all remaining funds will be used to support costs associated with the ongoing operation of the site.
There is another phase still to be worked out - which is the long term plan for supporting the site.  I'm going to leave that plan to others....but with confidence that this community can and will figure that out.  We now have plenty of runway to sort that out.
Thanks again to all for your support at a critical time.   This community really pulled together in an incredible way!

As I've said previously, out of an abundance of caution, I've backed up most of the content on Daddy's server. The first priority was getting the forum itself back online which has been done. I've gotten to the point where I've been able to tackle restoring the review site.
 
This was MUCH more difficult as there was a bunch of things coded specifically for Daddy's server. I managed to get the data copied over and to import the mySQL database associated with the site. Once I did that, nothing really worked so I had to go look into the code to see what was going on. This involved changing a bunch of files to reflect where files are located on the new server.
 
It's not perfectly restored (meaning some of the commentary and news links are not fully working), but all of the reviews seem to be working.

I do not plan to try and maintain the system Daddy used to run the reviews. It is simply too much to try to manually do. So the plan for now is for the archive to stay as-is for historical purposes. At a later time, I plan to introduce a new review site that would collect the info and allow for a more streamlined method of management. Once it's ready, we'll need some volunteers to help us manually migrate reviews over into the new long-term tool. Once we're ready to do that, I'll post here asking for some help with all of the copy/pasting that is going to be involved.
 
Hopefully in the next half hour or so, I'll be able to have the main review website redirect to the archive. It's not perfect, but I hope it helps us preserve a vital part of our history.

I just reread all the wonderful ideas and suggestions posted by concerned members. It’s a great idea to plan ahead. The sudden passing of @Guy Fawkes hit many of us hard. To me he was a mentor and strong supporter who trusted me enough with all the tools of his site. Jokingly, he used to say to me: “Cooper, when accessing the Administrator Tools, never touch the red button”. I will always miss our daily chats.
 
It’s now been over a month since his passing and so much has taken place to preserve his legacy. Guy had some really good friends in Team Washington. They came to our rescue. Later today I’ll be talking with @RadioRob to discuss M4M’s future.
 
There’s been a lot of good information shared in this thread. We all know that in order to move ahead we need a death certificate and a court ruling. If all goes smoothly, a new owner is needed. Hopefully, that person is tech savvy or can hire someone who is. The new owner will decide how to run the site and what needs he has. If necessary, I’ll offer my assistance but would completely understand if a new team is wanted.
 
Guy was a one man operation. He knew everything about running the sites and took good care at protecting his operations. Very similar as did TotallyOz of Boy Toy and Ace Banner of Muscle Service.
 
As for raising money to pay the bills, we’ve seen how it can be done. My compliments go out to @JEC for organizing a very successful GoFundMe drive. Thanks to all the members who contributed. You’ve proven how important it is to keep the site going. Also, a special thanks to @Coolwave35 for so generously offering to take care of future site expenses.
 
So, what have I been up to during this transition. I’ve been working with one of our new moderators, @Daverwr. His “powers” now include every forum. Welcome aboard... With Dave on the W Coast and I on the E Coast we basically have the site covered 24/7. If you ever need to contact us just click on report and one of us will get back to you.
 
A new Forum has just been created. Many of you had asked for a separate forum to discuss sports topics. I agreed and now we have “The Sports Desk.” So, stop by and tells us about your favorite teams or players and what you’re looking forward to in the Olympics.
 
I have lots more to share but I don’t want to compete with one of our favorite contributors @stevenkesslar for the longest message.

Just now seeing this post regarding Daddy's passing. My sincere condolences to all family, friends, and those in our community.
His forum and website were a major ingredient in my formula for escorting success from 2007-2011 and I deeply appreciate, respect, and admire the platform he created, ran, and nurtured. In a way, he was the ultimate "matchmaker" - by bringing people together to explore their sexual desires, enjoy companionship, friendship, and human connection.

Saddened about the news but glad he's out of suffering. I changed our profile photo in his honor. Nice to have it as a remembrance. We didn't really know that much about him, but he was always kind, considerate, engaging and a little naughty. Exactly the type of person we love to love. ♥

The words and emotions of the people here say all you need to know about what kind of man Bill was. He spread warmth and humor and love, he made people laugh, he helped people love, he lifted people up, and made the world a little better than it was before. In the next few days, perhaps each of us can find someone who needs a friend, who needs a kind word, who needs a shoulder, and do it, while saying silently "I do this kindness in Bill's name". A thousand acts of kindness radiating out in honor of him. And somewhere up there he'll look down and know that he inspired good.

My escort career and all the joy that came from it would have been impossible without both Hooboy and Daddy and the websites and community they nurtured. I never got the chance to thank Hooboy to his face. I'm glad I did with Daddy. And I got to know him and help him celebrate some birthdays and successes. God bless him for everything he did. Our lives - and many people’s livelihoods - have been enriched as a result of Daddy’s efforts and accomplishments. Technology can build a platform for communication, but it takes a specific kind of soul to actually nurture a community.

I am very sorry to report that Guy Fawkes/daddy passed away this evening of heart failure. For over a month he remained in the hospital unconscious and on life support.
 
His passing touches us all. He was a man who dedicated his life to providing a Forum where men would feel free and comfortable talking about all sorts of topics that covered our life style.
 
Having worked with daddy since he started this site I got to see first hand how much he cared about people and viewed us as his family. He was a very bright man with a love for life. He will be missed.

March 18th Update:
 
Received a call from the social worker. First off daddy’s condition remains unchanged. She called to let me know that a long time friend of daddy’s from the state of Washington was appointed by the hospital to be his decision maker for his health care. Sadly, no family member was found.

Update Friday, March 12th. I sent the social worker a few additional names of associates of daddy’s. Hopefully, these leads can turn up someone related to him or someone who might have POA. Thanks to those sending me this information.
 
Daddy’s condition remains the same. No change from Wednesday’s report.
 
It’s now over 2 weeks since the police found daddy on the floor of his home. Other than keeping him in our thoughts, prayers, or sending good karma, we just have to patiently wait for the healing/recovery process to kick in.
 
I truly appreciate all the concern and love you’ve shown for daddy/Guy Fawkes. He means a lot to us. I’ll do my best to keep you posted.

I don't quite recall the year I started reading this forum - it was during the Hoo Boy (?) years. I am grateful that this site exists and I am grateful to the people who keep it running. It has been a never ending lead to fun times, to experiences I would not have had otherwise and to disappointments avoided. I wish the 'daddy' person a quick recovery.

Latest update: Called the hospital on Sunday, 3/7. Daddy is still in ICU. His most recent covid test came back negative. One more test is required to confirm. He remains sedated and on a ventilator. An attempt to wean him off the ventilator and wake him up was unsuccessful. I’ll keep you posted if anything changes.

A number of you touched with your concern about my well-being while over here, and told me to check in when it was feasible. Couldn’t do that directly to you guys, as per the advice of ‘friends from DC’ that are on this forum and work for Uncle Sugar, it was a better idea to bring sterile electronic devices over here. No banking information, no ‘work’ information, and no client contacts stored anywhere. It’s hard to gauge whether that was necessary or not, but it’s always best to err on the side of caution.
 
Ok, a couple quick takeaways, let you all get on with your week. One, I honestly think the shroud of ‘secrecy’ / fear of the Russians getting into your shit is completely dependent on who you are, what your purpose is in Russia. If you’re there for one or two days in St Petersburg on a cruise- you don’t even need a VISA but you’ll be accompanied at practically all times by handlers from the ship. If you have a tourist visa on your own, 15-30 days, I can’t comment on how hard they’ll bird dog you. I received a 3 yr visa with a personal guarantee from local Russians I met, while in Bali. Essentially, if I Fuck up here...they are criminally and financially responsible for me..so I didn’t even get a second glance going through their customs / passport control. There’s literally a field on your passport of THE NAME of who or what entity signed for you, as well as the nature of your visa /how often you have to leave in that 3 yr period(I can only stay up to 180 days continuous, which is 173 days more than I need LOL, ready for Greece or Italy.)
 
So, as it turns out, my host flies drones(non military; though all Russians did/do serve at some point) and did freelance work for the city of Moscow as well as a three letter directorate of the Russian Federation, so apparently his word was gold. Also, because I didn’t know he did that work until I met one of his bosses from work at a hockey game, I’m DOUBLE GLAD I followed the advice to bring sterile stuff, because enough of my stuff was unsecured a large portion of the time. With that being said, Russians are ENAMORED to have American friends and want to show you off to EVERYONE. Almost like a status symbol. They were VERY giving- where it doesn’t matter if they live two families to a house that should be single family; they literally want to buy you meals, etc.
 
For a frame of reference, money wise, by the way, here’s the sad part. Russian friend has a friend who is a police officer in Moscow, makes about 800-1000 dollars per month, essentially. Taxes are low here, only 8-13 percent but salaries are very low. Now, the cost for certain given items is many times higher- an iPhone that would cost 699.00 in the States costs 1599 here. I asked my friend how much his apartment would cost / be worth to buy, and he said 125,000 US. For something that would be 30 or 40k at best in most smaller cities in the US. (Even though Moscow is a bigger city 12M people, bigger than NYC population wise unless you include all the suburban boroughs), we are so far from downtown Moscow that I would consider myself in like a Newark or a Stamford CT, kinda. The real estate values are so over inflated it’s not even funny, but the cost of food and drink is comparatively low.
 
The Metro is SUPER FAST, efficient, and CLEAN. Comparable to DC’s in my opinion and set up similar to London’s with outside veins coming in, and two circle rings running wide and then wider around the city’s heart. However, here’s the funny part. Rather than taking metro to a train to get to this air show yesterday(44 Miles away from the apartment; clear across Moscow), which would take 1 hr 30 mins to 2 hrs, instead if you OWN a car it’s a status symbol thing....you drive it, and moscow traffic is HORRENDOUS. Worse than NYC or LA...4 hrs 31 mins to this event. A trial in patience.
 
There are clearly gay bars in Moscow, we’ve walked past them(I’m here with a ‘straight’ couple though I have my wonders about their curiosities, you’d think I’d have a radar for this by now..), and there’s no persecution. I just think the government here frowns on celebrities musicians etc ENCOURAGING IT....because they still have a stalwart rough conservative church system here...and with freedom to choose sexual orientation goes a lot more free thinking PERIOD. Leaving the air show yesterday, there wasn’t any fights....yet the RIOT POLICE with shields and batons came out and stopped the crowd for 10 minutes before heading to their cars. Just so certain people could leave first- oligarchs VIPS etc. It’s one thing to have barriers but another to be looking across a clear plastic shield at a 19 year old army cadet with a club in his hand. And where there VIPs were leaving from this crowd wouldn’t even affect...so it’s kind like they kept us there because they could / to remind you / show of force. Here, you follow the rules. You attack police here, you’re pretty much done.
 
Anyhow....I should probably wrap this one up and get back to it...and maybe actually respond to some of the work emails in the box for other areas....for the other escorts out there; no real volume or pings on Mykonos, I’d skip that / not plan on it for work...and Rome had a decent amount but the hotel / housing situation can be tricky.
