Forgot about Julius! Definitely a welcoming spot for older people I'd say after 9pm the crowd gets a bit younger and way more touristy, you may meet a charming European there! Also it's one of the only bars you can get some food at. Their burgers are legendary!

Yeah, the bartenders are shirtless .  you should check out the gay bars in queens since you are looking for latino guys

As a 39 year old, who self-identifies with the mentality of a 59 year old, I like Monster and Ty's.  They are so friendly.  Mix of all types. I don't feel young, nor do I feel old in either bar.

I’m not a moderator, but I’m still going to suggest that we get back to the OP’s question. 
I suspect some of the gay seniors in places like The Monster’s upstairs space were among those who fought, organized, and sacrificed for our community. They deserve social spaces that are gay-senior-friendly, and I’m eager to know where those spaces are.

The few times I went this summer I'd say the capacity on Friday, Saturday nights was like 60-75%. A little puzzling since pre-pandemic weekends were guaranteed overpacked capacity wise.

I second 9th ave Saloon. Very gay and the kind of "Cheers" where everyone is welcome and feels welcome so it's a HUGE range of people, a lot of broadway queens, Older guys, 9 to 5 types, Larger body types, older clientele as well.

The west villlage has more of a welcoming vibe for older gentleman. The Monster and Ty's definitely have an older crowd however the Monster has a lot more space upstairs and downstairs and after I'd say 9pm the crowd does skew younger as they have a lot of popular drag shows etc.
